  1. After some time, the dubious cake was nothing but crumbs as Spirit finished off the final bite. She was happy, alittle guilt ridden with herself, but happy nonetheless. She looked over to Mono and Train, their faces looked as green as her fur. Which only made her feel slightly more guilty. But she knew it was nothing, they just weren't used to it. Mono lurched abit and looked at his mother. "M-mom.....I don't feel so..good". Spirit walked over to Mono and nuzzled her head onto his.
  2. >Spirit:My little Mono, are you alright?
  3. "Mom...why? why the cake?".
  4. Spirit felt her heart twist, she could easily deal with this kind of thing from her husband, but her dear child? She couldn't help but feel bad now, even if it was for his health. She carefully got onto her hindlegs and picked up Mono, gently rubbing his back and nuzzling onto him.
  5. >Spirit: I'm sorry sweetie, I guess I got alittle carried away. But I promise you'll feel alot better real soon.
  6. Mono was already starting to feel better, he had a weakness for affection. Sometime ago, when he grew to an age where his memories could catch up with his mentality. Mono cursed himself for accepting affections from Spirit due to her not being "his mother", under the guise of "a phase". But as time passed, he became less stubborn on that issue, and not only accepted affection, but relished the warmth it made him feel. He closed his eyes, he didn't want it to end. Spirit felt his grip get abit firmer, She frowned.
  7. >Spirit:Sweetie, please forgive mommy. I just wanted you to be ready. I didn't mean to make you feel sick.
  8. Mono nuzzled, he couldn't be mad. Not from this. This was heaven, to feel safe and loved unconditionally. Enough to the point that he would never let his mind have any disagreements. "Its ok mom, There is nothing to be sorry about"
  9. A tear went down Spirit's cheek, she felt so bad. As if she hurt her son. And he just forgives her. She truly had a wonderful son. As for Train, he looked over. He was a grown stallion, he wasn't going to let a cake defeat the likes of him. Except it has, as he rested his face on the table.
  10. >Train:ehe,....urgh. Dear....Could you maybe whip us up one of yer herbal remedies?
  11. Spirit looked over to him. That actually would be a good idea. she nodded to him.
  12. >Spirit: Mono, would you like alittle of mommy's medicine?
  13. Mono without a movement, said softly "Mhmmm...but, don't let me go ,please." Mono was having quite the moment, he felt like crying. He was having small flashbacks all of a sudden. Of his old mother, she wasn't quite like Spirit. But that was still his mother. He tried to stay strong, that was his old life. He tried to surmise that this feeling only came about because of the cake. That has to be it.
  14. >Spirit:Alright sweetie.....Train, dear...Could you put water to boil?
  15. Train wasn't up to moving, but he could tell his son was in distress. So he wobbled on all fours and set a pot of water to boil, and simply stood. His stomach was killing him. He simply stared at the water to get his mind off of it. Spirit carefully walked over to the cuboard and pulled down a few small bags. And with abit of a stagger, held Mono in one leg as she used the other to steady herself on the counter. And began the preperations.
  16. After abit, and with Mono still in tow. She had Train pour the liquid into two cups, and blow into Mono's cup to cool it down. By this time Train had been feeling like his old self, but still wanted abit of insurance. He blew into the cup until the steam stopped and passed it to Spirit. Spirit pulled Mono up so she could see his face, he was giving a soft sleepy smile. Color had returned to his face. Spirit couldn't help but smile herself, it was rare to see her son have such a genuine loving smile these days. She giggled at him.
  17. >Spirit: hehe, I see you're feeling better
  18. As Spirit reached for the cup, Mono gave her a peck on the cheek. "I always feel better, When I am with my mommy..." [Please....never hate me...or leave me...] Spirit gently put Mono onto a chair and slid the cup to him before getting back on all fours.
  19. >Spirit:This will make your tummy feel super better. I promise.
  20. Mono had no reason to hesitate, and drank up.
