- "Honestly, I think you should take that as a compliment." Sagi had said with a nervous chuckle, slowly standing with his palms out placatingly. Inside, he was cursing Ben several different ways to Sunday. Even Bazael had blushed just the slightest. "I-If it helps, it was pretty nice. You've got a pretty nice ass." He was diging himself in deeper hole with each passing moment, but unlike usual, he wasn't afraid of her this time. If anything her getting angry with him was suddenly... attractive. As if the threat of bodily harm was arousing or something. Or maybe it was because Bee was one of the few women who didn't tolerate his bullshit with puppy eyes and a hopeful smile outside of Rayana. "And Ben's the one who stole your drinks, I didn't know they were yours or I would have never, and I mean never, drank that. 'Twas pretty delicious though. You've got good taste."

- Denus shook their head, looking hard at the hourglass for a moment. They'd known that their time was running out and if they were being honest, it wasn't something that worried them. Death came for every living thing, divine or not, and they had been around for more than long enough. "I'm not worried about that. I've seen how it ends. I've made my peace." They glanced at Mod and chuckled. "And no. Once I pass, Creation is on it's own. Eden knows that. I suppose that's why he's trying so hard. Once I'm gone, there's no more chances." Denus thought about her next question and grew a bit more somber this time, tossing a card out with a small frown. They wondered if they should tell her the truth or one of the many fabrications that they'd come up with.
- In the end, she decided on the truth.
- "I was in love, once." They said with a gentle chuckle, setting their cards facedown and leaning back into their chair. "With one of my own Creations, at that. He was one of the firsts that walked Creation, born of the precursors to what they call demons down there. The world he lived in was unkind, full of death and fighting, but even through all of that he seemed to always be looking at the bright side of things." Denus thought about the man and smiled just the slightest bit. "He was beneath my notice for a long time, up until he'd forced peace between his people and declared himself a king. I came to him, one day, under the guise of a young woman and we talked and he was... perfect, as cliche as it sounds. He was far from my equal, but he was perfect in his own, funny little way. Nothing else could make me smile like he could, could make me laugh like he could, could make me feel like he could. One thing lead to another and eventually I ended up in his bed. We became lovers. I gave him things mere mortals couldn't even dream of. In return, he loved me. For the next year or so, we lived in peace. And then," they frowned and looked at their own hands. "he betrayed me. He went to war with an ally of his, Caerwyn Iodelis. He promised he would return to me and foolishly, I believed him. A year passed. Two. Three. On the fourth, he returned, only he didn't return alone. He had a woman and child in tow. His wife, he'd told me. Our thing ended, just like that. Suddenly, I was alone again, suffering. But I didn't have to suffer alone. That's the beauty of being me." They smiled a bit. "I may have been a bit jealous, way back when, so I placed a sort of curse on his soul, denying him death, and tied his soul to that of his descendants. Effectively, he became immortal though without a body of his own. Always conscious, always watching, never being able to make things change. That's a fate worst than death, if you ask me."
- They took a deep breath. "Creators are wardens, in a sense. His bloodline will always be swept up in Creators due to Heir Apparentia. He'll always get so close to dying only to have to do it all over again just as he can taste it. Outside of maintaining peace in Creation and shaping the world to their liking, Creators ensure that that cycle continues for all of eternity."
- Denus glanced at Mod. "It's petty, I know. Childish, almost. Funny thing is, I can't even remember his name anymore. It's been lost to me..."
