  1. Alright. So it's easiest to understand AWOL if you think of it like this.
  2.
  3. The universe is a story. It is constantly being spoken by the forces that motivate the universe- whether you call that God, or physics, or [tape skip]
  4.
  5. Mostly, narrative power is held by, well, reality. Magnetism, the strong forces of the universe, all that. The story comes pre-told and it's very difficult to speak over. But what if, say, that was interrupted one day. The things telling the story get... pushed out, for reasons that we're still not entirely canny to.
  6.
  7. Fuck. This still isn't really going to encapsulate this. Let me- [paper shuffling.]
  8.
  9. Okay. Look at AWOL on any given day. It's got all these, fucking forces converging in it at any given time. The ley lines cross under the library, and the stars are right over the Aquatics Center, and [tape distortion]- and all this other weird shit!! But it doesn't really. When you're in this town, you're, you're listening to a different story. Told by something different. And if you're lucky like Zoe and I, you can carve out your weird little niche where you're sort of, y'know. Telling your own story. And when you tell your own story, you have the power to sort of, fight back against it?
  10.
  11. Is there even anything to fight? Ffhhhhhhhuck.
  12.
  13. [Distantly]
  14.
  15. Yeah? God, yeah, I'm, trying to get it all down! This fucking, psi-diving you and your little coven have me doing isn't easy, you know!
  16.
  17. [closer]
  18.
  19. Fffffh. My nose is bleeding. That's... new.
