  2. But how? It seems a bit you want to oppose him but are not daring to actually do anything against him (no offense, just my interpretation fo the facts  )

  4. I can continue to give you MC somehow.

  6. You know, the time to make an impact is pretty much now. SF and Robot are commiting the bigger part of their fleet against me. When is a better time to go against them than now? What are you waiting for? You know without some support it will be pretty much impossible to stop Solar Fed Carriers - they just win on the PBP side. Maybe the fleet slowly converts loosing carriers but replcaing them with QT Novas, but that does not help you. You will in the end stand against a still much to powerful Solar Fed.

  8. What about getting allies on your side? Like Crystal/Rebel?
  9. Anyway today is my vacation day, I am sorry I do not have time to talk about this. I did want to write you before I go party though.
  10. My plan was to wait for about 20 turns before attacking Fed/Robot.

  12. That may be to late to fetch the opportunity
  13. But we can talk tomorrow
  14. Go party

  16. Crystal might slow him a bit but unlikely to have much impact ocnsidering his likey very high sweep capacity.
  17. Rebel has similar issues than my own ships, the PBP win for SF Carriers is immense.
  18. Bottom line, if you want to make an impact and not end up quite likely against a much to strong SF/Robot alliance, best time is now. You will need a few turns to get positioned anyway, by that time.
  19. In the end, I do not care too much if you attack them or not out of your territory. What I need is two things:
  20. 1. Loki immune cloaked towers. The more the better. To get some control over the fights and not loose greatly on PBP against each SF carrier. It will be a tough fight even with that control.
  21. 2. Something that binds a part of the SF/Robot Juggernaut, so they cannot throw everything against me at once.
  22. You are pretty much the only one who can provide both. If you do, there might be a chance to stop the SF from an all-to-easy start-end victory. If you don't, you may easily survive in a (for you) boring game without any chance to win - maybe after securing enough space to have a certain win SF will just sit it out and let you live. Maybe you can have some fights against Crystal to easen the boredom, but it will not impact the outcome. If at any time you would become close to a threat to SF win, they would just crush you.
  23. I think you know that, so I am just reminding you of it.
  24. Waiting 20 turns does not make sense - you do not increase your prospects in that time, you diminish them. Don't be to scared to make your move at the best time. And the best time is now. It may turn out bad, but in any case, it is the right decision in a bad situation.

  26. You don't think Rebel is enough to stop Fed? You also have Bird being cooperative with you right now.
  27. Zacha — Yesterday at 3:54 PM
  28. Fed, Robot, EE Fleet and some Priv cooperation. Just for the record
  29. And all in one hand, so more efficient than distributed to multiple players.
  30. If all works well and we get full support from Bird and Rebel, it would be more or less even matched. Still, with SF having the initiative. It may be possible to stop them and turn the tide. But hard to tell. SF is already pushing hard against me and even in optimal case it will take time to rally them.
  31. Bottom line, impossible to tell what will be the outcome if you do not take action. But this does not change the fact that now is a prime opportunity for you.
  32. Morgens — Yesterday at 4:08 PM
  33. Also, this kind of attitude works only until a certain point Psy. What if the Bird and Rebel also think "someone else will handle it"? And to be frank what if I would just pull my fleet back because I am truly the least threatened person by the Fed and just wait it out, hoping to pick up weakened empires afterwards?
  34. It would make for the worst emperor game in history. Everyone to blind/selfish to use their fleets and thinking they are the smartest, waiting for the most ideal moment. While in reality someone just gets the win handed for free by circumstance
  35. Zacha — Yesterday at 4:12 PM
  36. You can also stay on the sideline and watch, hoping that everything goes pretty much perfect so we can defeat SF alliance, and then only jump in at the end with a fresh fleet seizing up something. You have then no control on the development whatsoever but are a passive object to the things that happen, instead of active subject.
  37. Psydev — Yesterday at 5:09 PM
  38. OK, fair enough points.
  39. Basically my perspective is this: I intend to attack Crystal. While I am doing this, I do not want a Fed/Cyborg enemy on another front.
  40.
  41. I understand though that you are in a difficult position. In particular, I know that Fed carriers are a fearsome enemy, and difficult to stop. Your best bet is probably ground attack, but this is complicated by Lokis. So maybe this is where I could help most (and Bird too, with their Loki immunity).
  42. This is why I said I could take active steps against Fed in 20 turns, because I imagine this is how long it will take to kill Crystal.
  43. A war on 2 fronts is something that I would care to avoid.
  44. Zacha — Today at 12:40 AM
  45. I do not see why you want to wage war against Crystal now. Of course, if you think you can win it relatively quick and safe, it has its merits on its own - but in the grand picture, it is just loosing time. Time which we do not have.
