Heockius: An imperial guard Regiment "The Blue Roses" has commited some next level heresy
VulDrakonen: oooo
Heockius: He's forged an alliance with a beleagured company of Eldar. Well. Their Farseer leader was the one that approached him... VERY CAREFULLY... with the idea.
VulDrakonen: le gasp
Heockius: A psyker was added to the Blue Roses. Her name.. Well. Is "Rose Valerius" What no one knows. She's not that person. She's a surgically altered Eldar that was sent to scope them out in person.
Heockius: Something about Darius led her to tell the Farseer "He's good. We could use his help if we are to fight the calamity you forsee."
Heockius: So. While these forces are getting to know each other... The Farseer has a vision.
Heockius: Black wings... A skull... Death approaches through the void.
VulDrakonen: uh oh
Heockius: Can you guess what it means?
VulDrakonen: nu
Heockius: The Elite Astartes. Vetted and recruited from all of the chapters. The warriors assembled by the Inquisition. The Deathwatch approach
VulDrakonen: er nu
Heockius: Er nu is right
Heockius: Darius figured it out quickly. "How could they have found out so quickly... Shit... Get the Evac ships ready! Get EVERYTHING loaded! As quick as you can! You! you! You're with me! Have my Angels meet me on that tower. We'll stall them!"
Heockius: So... Much like the battle of Hoth in Empire Strikes back. He had infantry deplyed. His Angels. An elite squad of all female snipers met him on a tower to have a good range of sight. A soldier with a vox caster stood by to help relay his orders
VulDrakonen: nice
Heockius: Infantry fanned out with a Hellhound to cover his flank as he had Mortars ready by the base of the tower.
Heockius: Rose was getting what reinforcements she could together, but it was tricky.
Heockius: The Farseer, a platoon of Swooping Hawks, and four windriders (Jet bikes) joined Darius in his defensive positioning.
Heockius: brb

Heockius: So. As Darius entrenched himself. The Deathwatch landed.
VulDrakonen: -glomps and snuggles-

Heockius: As the first wave of the death watch took positions. Darius's and the Farseer's forces opened up
Heockius: One force of hunters had taken a bunker, while the other took position on a gantry around a tower.
Heockius: The farseer worked his psychic powers to guide shots into the bunker. It was especially effective as he guided the shuriken weaponry of the bikers
Heockius: The bunker was cleared in very short order.
Heockius: The more exposed Hunters were farther away. The platoon of hawks dropped to strike them. But the Astarte's armor held against their weaponry and the mortar fire that came against them
VulDrakonen: -nuzzles as he listens-
Heockius: These hunters... Now with vengance for their fallen brothers on their mind, and pure rage seated in their hearts leveled their weapons on the hawks as well as a platoon of guardsmen that were marching to get into range of their position.
Heockius: The hawks and several of the guardsmen were annihilated by the Astarte's Stalker pattern Bolters.
Heockius: Blood for blood.
Heockius: A Corvux Blackwing, a Watch transport gunship came screaming onto the battlefield.
Heockius: A chaplin and squad of vanguard inside.
Heockius: The blackwing's weapons tore into the Hellhound the Blue Roses had.
Heockius: But as the smoke cleared... It survived.
VulDrakonen: huehuehue
Heockius: The bikers turned as the Farseer now directed his attention to the craft. His powers guiding the shots of his allies. The roar of engines could be heard. Three Leman Russ tanks rolled onto the field along with Rose and a fresh sqaud of Infantry men. The limits of the reinforcements she could muster.
Heockius: But the Tanks. Two on the eastern flank, one far to the western flank all opened fire.
Heockius: They nearly destroyed the blackwing and gave the hunters on the gantry cause to take cover.
VulDrakonen: awesome
Heockius: The bikes swarmed the blackwing in an attempt to tip it into a nose dive.
Heockius: But it dropped its passengers and managed to fly away.
Heockius: These fresh soldiers destroyed three of the bikes as their captain dropped onto the field with his flight pack
Heockius: He found his target. Hatred tinted his vision red as he locked his gaze on the farseer
VulDrakonen: uh oh, not good
Heockius: THis Sorcerrous, Xeno, Heretic had to die.
Heockius: The Farseer was able to dodge his charge and got a few shots defensively... But a vision. A flash... He knew the course he had to take and turned to meet the captain head on.
Heockius: The landed vanguard and their chaplin, meanwhile, turned to charge the two tanks on the eastern flank.
Heockius: The tank commander's cannon and some quick thinking allowed him to obliterate the chaplin
Heockius: Further enraged by this. The vanguard swarmed in
VulDrakonen: -purrs softly as he closes his eyes, listening to you-
Heockius: It was like a batch of soccer holligans.
Heockius: They bashed away with their weapons. Hammers, chainswords, a power sword, and lightning claws.
Heockius: They damaged the two tanks. But the commander managed to free himself.
Heockius: Only to watch in horror as the other tank was held firmly inplace by the mighter Astarte surrounding it.
Heockius: *Mighty
Heockius: The farseer unleashed his psychic powers to guide his spear and fire mind bullets at the captain.
Heockius: He shot as he charged. Wounding the captain, and in combat, his spear found it's mark easily. The captains weapons gave as good a showing as the farseer's but the Farseer's Rune armor protected him.
Heockius: Darius ordered his men to fire on the vanguard.
Heockius: Despite the proximity of the tank. They knew they had to take this chance... But they did little.
Heockius: Rose's powers found a mark and two astarte fell to her psychic assaults
Heockius: Then... A drop pod thundered onto the field.
Heockius: Eldar Reinforcements... A squad of Vypers and Dire Avengers reinforced each flank.
Heockius: But, before the Avengers and infantry to the east could try to fire on the hunters... The tank spoke.
Heockius: It's heavy bolters and battle cannon fire obliterated these warriors pulled from the Ultra marines
Heockius: The Vanguard found vengance in destroying the Leman russ... But the blood of the crew was not enough for the warrior drawn from the Blood Angels. He turned his hateful start towards Rose
Heockius: The vanguard were coming for her... But Infantry formed up to protect her. Darius shouted the order for them to fire by ranks. His orginization of their pattern allowed them to fire more shots in a shorter period
Heockius: These weapons... Often thought of as pitiful..
Heockius: Destroyed the vanguard.
Heockius: And the battle between the captain and the Farseer. A duel for the ages... Amid the melee...A victor now stood.
Heockius: He raised his spear and turned his bike. The Farseer flew from the fallen captain and turned his telekinetic power against the Blackwing
Heockius: He yanked it out of the sky. It crashed into the drop pod. Shrapnel flew and several of the occupants of the drop pod died.
VulDrakonen: i has popcorn x3
Heockius: The Tank commander managed to destroy the drop pod. Rose's own psychic powers killed more astarte. Lasguns... Mortars...
Heockius: The smoke cleared... And one Astarte was still standing...
VulDrakonen: -whistles-
Heockius: He looked utterly defeated. He activated his homing beacon and was quickly teleported out.
Heockius: Darius had ordered everyone to stand down... "Enough blood was shed here today."
Heockius: A sad day... Man versus man...
Heockius: Had the empire come to this? Finding Allies to fight Chaos, Orks, or Necrons... It had come to being a criminal act just to protect against the real threats in the universe?
Heockius: These thoughts were heavy on his mind as his forces retreated to flee the planet.
Heockius: This was further hammered in as.. Before they could enter warp... THey watch ships of the inquisition unleash Exterminatus on the planet they had used as their base.
Heockius: With Rose and the Farseer at his side... he knew... There would be no going back.
VulDrakonen: eep
Heockius: Through sheer tenacity, strategy, and some luck. He had managed to win the day... But who would come for him next? Would his alliance with the Eldar even HELP against the forces of Chaos...
