Kaijuu game or whatever

The year is 2042, disaster had struck about 20 years ago when the awakening of an otherworldly being
discovered in Arizona resulted in the opening of a psycho zone. It was well understood by this point
that Psycho Zones were loose alternate pocket dimensions that according to studies were based on our
own (or that we ourselves are just one of many psycho zones based on a single common ancestor). For
centuries, the technologies and knowledge secretly extracted from these zones led humankind to become
as advanced as it currently is.

However, it was only until the 2022 disaster that Psycho Zones represented anything more than a threat
to those who would dare enter them. The being, a large crystal named Endera, was captured by US
Scientists, and after a week of experimenting, all hell broke loose. Endera had created massive storms
across the US that gave birth to inter-dimensional giant monsters known as Aberrants. Hundreds of these
Aberrants proceeded to tear their way across the US, with some soon crossing overseas to Europe and
Asia as well. During the massive year long struggle between humanity's current military prowess and
the threat of the Aberrants, the monster threat miraculously began to thin out after Endera's eventual
self-destruction in captivity, and before long most of the aberrants were either destroyed or
captured. But by then, the damage had been done. The United States of America, the former largest
superpower in the world, was little more than a charred wasteland. This of course had devastating
effects on the world economy and soon the entire power dynamic of the world's superpowers had changed
drastically.

In wake of the disaster, the governments of Polynesia, Japan, and various other asian nations merged
with the rest of Oceania to form the United Pacific to stabilize their economic positions. The United
Pacific soon became a key player in the later reconstruction efforts that provided a great boost to
the flagging economies of several world powers. After the discovery of a new energy source called
Ditemmium, a clean and near limitless source of power the likes of which had never been seen until
then, a new age industrial revolution began, shooting the United Pacific to become the top power on
earth. What remained of the US' leftovers were then taken over by Russia to form the New Russian
Democratic, and after the devastation caused by both the aberrant attacks and Brexit, the UK was
forced to be absorbed by the EU to form....the European Union again. After a couple years of further
political squabbling, the motion finally passed for a single world government known as the United
Earth Federation, giving the UN stronger powers over sovereign nations with the purpose of protecting
humanity's interests above any single nation or government, and the three major superpowers quickly
became the UEF's major players.

Ditemmium was believed to be a major power source from whatever Psycho Zone the Aberrants had come
from. It was naturally produced by an Aberrant captured in south Florida, and still remains alive to
this day, held captive in Sapporo, Japan. As devastating as the attack was, the resources gathered
from the year long war with the Aberrants had bore many fruit, Ditemmium being the juiciest. Soon the
energy was reverse engineered after four years of research and several accidents, and reproduction of
the material from a minimal amount of resources is now much more viable. The Abberants themselves made
limited use of Ditemmium within their bodies, as the energy when compressed into a gas forms the D-
Drive, a refinement that causes the Ditemmium to naturally repel its environment and other D-Drive
particles very strongly, creating an effect similar to that of the vacuum of space or lack of gravity.
When a system of D-Drive pods is networked together, they create a miniaturized system with apparently
negative weight, lowering the effective weight of the Aberrants significantly due to buoyancy, and
enabling them to perform insane feats of acrobatics and sustained flight. Using the anatomy of the
oversized Aberrants as a blueprint, the UEF's powers succeeded in creating giant mechanical humanoids
known as Metal Frames with raw power comparable to that of an Aberrant.

Despite much of the world in the current year being looked over by the United Earth Federation, there
are still many factions and sub-factions both within and outside the UEF's sphere of influence. Here's
some you should probably know about:

-Gesicht- Officially, Gesicht is a private organization under the supervision of the UEF with limited
authority over local admin., and to an extent UEF's military forces. However, they are essentially an
independent organization from the UEF apart from matters of funding.
Gesicht is a paramilitary special agency with the prime directive of studying the Aberrants and to
prevent another possible armageddon. Most captured Aberrants are under their supervision, and they've
run many experiments putting the Aberrants through experimental projects, including some capable of
fighting on behalf of mankind with some proper adjustments. With overwhelming control over the very
beings responsible for the current shape of civilization as it is today, they're a small organization
with a frightening amount of influence.

-Assassins- The popular public name given to a shadowy cabal that has maintained global power over
Earth's goverments since ancient times, allegedly. The knowledge of the Psycho Zones were only known
by them for the longest time, up until an undisclosed incident in 2016 that completely devastated
their infrastructure and greatly loosened what grip they had on the world. Still, knowledge of Psycho
Zones were still very restricted until the 2022 armageddon blew the whole cover open. All that's known
about the Assassins today as that they still exist and are most likely still delving into various
other Psycho Zones to perhaps one day reclaim the amount of power they once had.

-Liberal Front- A grouping of renegades from China, Russia, and Korea who refused to cooperate with
the various treaties signed after the formation of the UEF, and took their troops with them to relative exile to South America and northern Africa, areas that were devastated by the armageddon and to this day remain out of UEF control. Initially a bit different from regional warlords with pre-armageddon military hardware, it was a short while ago that the officers began to ignore their original nationalist differences and began to work together under the flag of the Liberal Front. Of course, the UEF denied areas under control of the Liberal Front, refusing to recognize them as anything approaching an official political org. But this may prove to be a bane in the long run, as the Liberal Front have used opportunities of poor spending by the UEF to spark unrest in previously docile regions. With this backing and their sense of organization, UEF control of Africa and South America has begun to slip, and the LF wont let themselves be ignored for long.

-VariTech- One of the largest multinational tech companies in the current day, VariTech has long since moved from internet-related services to pioneering AI and mechanical breakthroughs, and are responsible for the creation of the world's first Variables and Alternative Humans.
Variables and Alt. Humans are the politically correct terms for advanced mechanical beings, with Alternative Humans essentially being androids indistinguishable from humans, and Variables being more obviously mechanical constructions that still nonetheless posses human-level AI. The creation of perfect human AI is still a relatively recent thing  with a long string of history behind it, so machines do still face some discrimination among certain human groups. Nonetheless, these beings are still officially classified as being part of the human race, collectively.
The discovery of Ditemmium was an integral part of their design, which used perfect crystals of the element as its central chips to isolate the miniaturized quantum computers from external factors. It's also theorized that the properties of Ditemmium chips are capable of producing the consciousness which was required for AI to awaken. However, this also has the consequence of too much overpowering information causing Ditemmium chips to short circuit and break, so AI brains aren't that much more advanced than human ones, and are thus susceptible to the same biases and fallacies that those more optimistic about the future hoped would be overcome by now.
