yeah, hear me out on this one because its either genius or retarded. Essentially, a little bit before the helicopter arrives you dig out a little area below the dirt to contain the troops and gear, and you bring along a hatch, and a net with leaves on it, something to provide camo. When the helicopter drops off the goods, you put them down there. Now, you can from here either try to hide the men inside to avoid combat all together, OR only leave the supplies in there, but protect them from damage any grenades or bullets may of caused
and you can leave a guy back at base, so that if the squad dies, they still know where the weapons are to retrieve at a later date
