  1. Note 1 (2:22): This happens because of color limitations. Sprites can have up to four different colors from a set palette. When the referee is on screen, the color palette needs to include white, so whichever color Little Mac is wearing is swapped out for white, discoloring his clothes temporarily.

  3. Note 2 (3:33): Most fighters have different patterns based on what round you're in, but since every fight ends in Round 1, we don't get to see that in this run.

  5. Note 3 (32:58): The inverse max damage uppercut only has a total window of 4 frames instead of 5. Holding up prevents you from getting the first frame of the up press window.

  7. Note 4 (33:27): Throwing a regular uppercut instead of max damage wouldn't work because Honda would simply dodge it.

  9. Note 5 (34:06): The pie charts shown here are somewhat subjective and based on the context of going for a world record in most cases of a given run. For instance, a run is marked Reset if it lands in any of the Reset zones for each fight, as well as if it gets two significant time losses. In practice though, a great pace into the red zone with a great Soda could very well be on the upper edge of what's considered a "significant time loss" for both Bull 2 and Don 2, and still be salvageable. Similarly, a mediocre run that gets times that fit in the lower end of the "OK" range for all 3 fights would definitely not be. Overall, the general rule that if you enter the red zone, you have a 1/100 chance of coming out with a decent run, holds true.

  11. Note 6 (45:21): Interestingly, the lowest refill is actually not the one you want to see the most. The optimal one is the mid refill in this situation, but the difference is only a couple of seconds. What's crucial though is that the lowest refill is a 1/8 chance, making this specific scenario an insanely unlikely one that Salt almost never has to play around.

  13. Note 7 (58:30): In reality, similarly to other delays in the game, the 8-second delay is comprised of one 2-second delay and one 6-second delay that happen consecutively. Most of the time, this delay will be either 0 or 8, but it can sometimes be 2 or 6 as well.

  15. Note 8 (1:02:07): The odds of 1 in 900 are for a 14:46.48 run. Salt lost 4 seconds, which means theoretically speaking, the RNG for this run is good enough for a 14:42, which is 1 in 2500. However, Salt's play and the RNG he got are not entirely independent. Making that mistake in Don 2 definitely affected the RNG. So, we could say that in theory, he got 1 in 2500 odds for a 14:42 run, but it doesn't really mean that much.
