The Myth Drivers

Within Kuro and Lucas's world, the war against divinity that's currently underway is not the first time the gods have turned their backs on mortality for their own selfish desires, as gods are born from mortality itself, they are expected to eventually fall and be replaced, outside of the elder gods that look over this world it's fully expected for gods to retire and be succeeded by others. In the case of those gods who refuse to abdicate their thrones and turn their backs on mortality however, the elder gods needed a solution, a countermeasure in the case that a god turned away from their duties and role.

Inspired by the future legends of Kamen Rider they viewed from the beginning of time itself, they created Seven Mythical Drivers that would choose their wielders, people who either had the traits to rebel or otherwise had the determination and spirit to fight against the gods themselves. Each one wielded by a singular person from each continent of the earth. The Rougarou Driver to young north america, The Wukong Driver to Asia, The Quetzal Driver to South America, The Anansi Driver to Africa, The Nidhogg Driver to Europe, The Bunyip Driver to Australia, and finally The Glacial Driver to Antarctica.

Alone, each driver contains the power to fight the gods and their schemes but together they wield the unique ability to force a god from their throne and forcibly enact mortality upon them. They can also call upon the myths and legends of their continent of origin to wield their powers or summon them to fight alongside them. Recently however, due to concentrated efforts by the Church of the Golden Light and their Goddess, more than a few of the drivers have been hidden, sealed, and forgotten in the goddess's attempts to use her power to see her will done.

However, with the second war in heaven brewing due to the goddess of light's machinations, these drivers are calling out for their wielders to fight, to find their power and see that the goddess and her cabal are driven from their thrones, to deny the fate written for them by the gods and see this war end!
