So, it can be anything, except containing those 6 characters.

Just to set an expectation, the password needs to have few special characters used for any password. May I know do you have Managed WordPress hosting plan?
No problem, it can use characters, it just can't use those 6

The database password is default and it is auto updated from our backend and it cannot be changed . You can copy the database password and use it while accessing phpmyadmin for database. It's not encrypted, I can see it in my GoDaddy admin, but I can't change it.

Yes, correct! The database password is encrypted for only Managed WordPress hosting plan and you can copy the encrypted password in your hosting plan to connect to database anytime.
So - we're the developers for the site, and we'll be cancelling this hosting account and moving to a different hosting provider if the password isn't able to be changed. We've seen this be possible for other users - and you'll be losing an account because of this, if you're not able to escalate.
It's pretty counter-productive that this isn't editable in the first place by us - this is possible with any cPanel hosting control panel with any modern hosting provider.

I understand your concern and I have checked with our admin team on this for you. You can change database password for any other hosting plan like cpanel, Windows, but in managed WordPress hosting plan the database password is encrypted and it will get auto updated in hosting plan as Managed WordPress plan is managed by us and auto updates are made regarding WordPress in the plan from our end. Hope you understand it.
