↯ BACKGROUND: Moonseul was born to a Korean father and an American mother. She's a product of a one night affair between her parents when her mother once visited the Jeju Island as a tourist. Her parents lived together for 3 years after she was born thus bearing the surname of her father, but things went rough as the two got separated. Grace (her mother) moved back to California and brought Moonseul with her. There she grew up and stayed for 9 years until her mother died due to a murder committed by her step-father which was unintentionally witnessed by her naive eyes. Her maternal relatives didn't know what to do with Moonseul after being abandoned so instead of keeping her, they tried their best to contact her relatives in South Korea. At the age of 13, she was eventually sent back there only to find out that his father already died of suicide 5 years ago. She was left in the custody of her barren Aunt, Jo Hyejin. Living in two different countries with entirely different cultures has made Moonseul to grow up to become a very timid lady who always seem lost in her own directions. She was always teased and bullied due to her different looks and that made her distance herself from others. She stayed within the comforts of her own little room in Jeju with only a pencil and a notebook as her bestfriend. She gained only a few friends who accepted her as who she is. Throughout the years, she remained constantly haunted by the tragic death of her parents and by those voices within her head that she couldn't bring into silence. Voices that seemed to be out of her control; voices that urge her to make the greatest mistake she has ever done- to kill someone.

↯ HOW THEY MET: They met when Moonseul unmistakenly left her journal notebook containing her art pieces in the library and Daehwi just happened to have it. He was suddenly interested with its owner only to find out that it was the mysterious girl from the fifth year named Jo Moonseul. Knowing that, he started bugging her and started befriending her without telling that he has the notebook that Moonseul all along thought is already lost.

↯ RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM: At first, Moon will do her very best to stay away from Daehwi by pushing him away and by threatening him, but that would only push him to befriend Moonseul. Through the art pieces Daehwi found in her journal, he'll try his best to understand her more and he'll try to find out where all her demise is coming from. Moonseul will start to get used to his presence not realizing he is already slowly filling up the emptiness she feels inside as both of them starts to fall for each other. But then again, fear will get the best of Moonseul as she will try to push Daehwi for one last time only to regret it in the end. (Tragic ending with deaths, but it's up to you if you'll push this. lmao)

↯ ATTITUDE TOWARDS EACH OTHER: Daehwi always bug Moonseul and tries his best to pull her out from her comfort zone. He always makes jokes and teases her a lot. Moonseul hates him because she never likes loud people in the first place. She always give him cold treatments and tries her best to push him away. The only things that reconcile them are his love for literature and her love for art.

↯ LOVE RIVAL: Yoon Jisung

↯ RELATIONSHIP WITH LOVE RIVAL: He is Moonseul's only guy friend and the one who always saves her and fights by her side everytime she is being bullied when she went back to South Korea. Over the years of their friendship, she had developed some sort of crush with him.
