<Cezar> As Basil was busy elsewhere, Nalyda was just getting something done in the kitchen. She had actually cooked some lamb stew, which... wasn't hard to make at all. At this point, she made so much of it, she had leftovers. Nali was eating some of her stew at a table, holding her head up with a hand, as if bored. She was just in some thought. On the table was her
<Cezar> phone, she had been texting someone recently.
<DarnellJermaine> Just finishing up his late night delivery shift, Garrett steps into the dorm only to find his nose assaulted by the smell of lamb in the kitchen. Before he even saw her, he called out, "Nali? You up?"
<Cezar> The moment she heard his voice, she pulled her phone off the table and stuck it in her pocket. "Garret! Yes!" She sat up. "Yes, I'm up. Apparently you are, too..." Nali put her fork down and wiped her hands.
<DarnellJermaine> He stepped inside and gave her a friendly smile on sight, though he looked a bit tired from being out so late, "Yeah, just finished the late shift at the delivery place. Gotta make that paper" he laughs softly and takes a seat nearby in the kitchen, "What are you doing up so late- and are you cooking?"
<Cezar> "Fell asleep after workout today." She said. "So, I didn't actually get any dinner. I made some myself. It's lamb stew." Nali smiled. "Uhm... I... didn't... actually expect you to be around tonight."
<DarnellJermaine> "Oh? Why not? I always work night shift on Mondays" he situates himself better on the seat and pulls out a bag of chips he had stuffed into his jacket for when he got home to start munchin' on.
<Cezar> "Oh... well yeah, but I didn't actually know it was so late..." Nalyda thought for a moment. "Hey... Garrett? Do you want to hang out for a bit?"
<DarnellJermaine> He raises an eyebrow, "Sure, I don't mind. Something bothering you? You seem a bit... cagey"
<Cezar> "No, no. Not at all." Nalyda smiled. "I mean... I do have some things on my mind, but nothing to worry yourself about."
<DarnellJermaine> Garrett shakes his head, "Nah, you can tell me. I'm always here to lend an ear. Come on Nali, what's up?"
<Cezar> "I will tell you... later. In the danger room. But we wont fight in there. I... just want to show you something."
<DarnellJermaine> "Well, why don't we head there now? There'll be nobody else this late at night to interrupt us, and I'm already all dressed"
<Cezar> "Okay." She nodded and smiled again. "I should probably put all this food away, huh?" Nali slipped on her winter coat and ran a hand through her frizzy hair. She didn't seem stressed, in a hurry or anything. She seemed to just be thinking. Deciding what she was going to do before she did it.
<DarnellJermaine> "Sure, let me give you a hand" Garret smiles back and sets down his chips, getting up to put all the food and containers and get it in the fridge. Maybe he could steal some of it tomorrow morning before school while Nali wasn't around anyways.
<Cezar> Likely, she wouldn't care. Once they got all the food put away, she grabbed everything she needed and picked herself up after drinking a glass of water. "Let's go then..." She just nearly took his hand, but instead tugged him along for a minute by the wrist.
<DarnellJermaine> Garrett let himself be pulled along and followed Nali, staying relatively quiet for the time being. He didn't know what, but he could tell something was on her mind.
<Cezar> She took him to the area where they got onto the tables and started the simulation so many times. This time, Nali put something into the simulation. She looked up at him briefly before getting in.
<DarnellJermaine> Garrett nodded his head, "Go on then, I'm ready to see whatever you've got to show me"
<DarnellJermaine> With that, he climbs onto the table and enters inside the simulation.

<Cezar> When he entered, he found himself standing before a massive temple. A beautiful piece of architecture with running water and vivid green vegetation, planted in levels upon the building, all the way to the top. Water wheels seemed to bring the water to the top of the temple like structure and then flow back down. The bottom was built up with vivid blue
<Cezar> bricks, and adorned with golden ornaments. It was covered in features, with Persian lions perched beside the stairway up to the top. While the sun was hot, this place looked like it was inviting. Nalyda was already heading towards the steps. She looked back at him, waiting for him to come along.

<DarnellJermaine> Garrett stood stock still for a moment, taking in the amazing sights before he even noticed Nali beckoning him to follow. He quickly jogged up to her side and followed along, still staring all around him, "What is this place...?"
<Cezar> "The Hanging Gardens of Babylon." She smiled. "The most beautiful place in my home city. Normally, we aren't allowed up here, but seeing as this is a simulation..." She giggled. "Nobody telling us no."
<DarnellJermaine> Garrett lets out a mischievous smile, "Suppose not, huh? Care to give me the tour?" he holds out a hand to Nali.

<Cezar> Nalyda took his hand and carefully went up the stairs to the first level. Birds flew out of the temple and the water's mist seemed to make the air cool around them. "I've never needed to come here, save for... one moment. But let's not talk about that."
<DarnellJermaine> Garret simply nods his head, still taking in the sights around him. To be honest, he wants to say /something/, but he doesn't know what's going on and doesn't want to say the wrong thing. For now, he just decides to be present with her.
<Cezar> It takes a little bit of time, but she brought him all the way to the top, where they could look out. All of it had been slightly modernized, and there was some railing. Nali slipped past the railing and sat on the edge. Then, she waved garrett over.
<DarnellJermaine> Garrett followed Nali over to the rail and leaned against it, turning his head to hers. "Alright, so tell me what's up. We came all the way up to the top of this place in the danger room in the middle of the night- something's gotta be up"
<Cezar> "What do you think about this view, Garrett?" She asked him as they looked over to a city skyline. It was Babylon, the very place they were trying to escape. There was a canal that ran through the city itself and out to the Mediterranean. The Gardens were right in the middle of it, so the only way here was by boat. There were towers on each end, modern
<Cezar> towers, as lookouts.
<Cezar> Nobody was allowed on this island, usually.
<DarnellJermaine> "It seems kinda mismatched. Some old stuff, some new stuff. It's pretty but... it feels kind of off I guess? Maybe that's just cuz I'm not used to this kinda place though"
<Cezar> "Well, this is a very old temple." She said, stalling for time for thought. "It's like when you get old things and you want to keep them... well... pristine, but you live in a more advanced world. This temple has been around since biblical times, and somehow it's been kept pretty well. I'm not sure how... but... this is how I remember it..."
<DarnellJermaine> He turns his head back over the railing and looks onward, staying silent for a moment,. "What do you think about this view? Does it remind you of something?"
<Cezar> "It reminds me of the better times when I was home." She told him. "When I felt... free. Not so confined. It reminds me of just how beautiful Babylon could be at times." Nali looked at him, "What do you think about me?"
<DarnellJermaine> That was sudden. He thought about all the things he could say- but instead of choosing any of those, he let his heart speak for him. "Honestly? It's confusing. You're a lot stronger than me, you're certainly great at kicking my ass, your food tastes funny - minus the lamb, and we're from entirely different worlds. <DarnellJermaine> He nods his head, still standing firm. "Yeah. Something about this place just makes me want to let it all out in the open. That's how I feel. I hope I didn't come on heavy or scare you off, I just felt like I should answer you from the bottom of my heart"

<DarnellJermaine> He wraps an arm around Nali, pulling her in tight. "Don't sweat it. I know I'm not always the best with words either. Heck, the other day when you were in my room and spent the night, I was so embarrassed I could hardly look at you. I'm still getting used to all this relationshipy stuff too"
<Cezar> She touched his hair and cheek, and Nali pulled away to look at him and smiled softly. "You were basically a poet about a minute ago, Garrett. Did you know that?"
<DarnellJermaine> "I-I was? Maybe it's something to do with the danger room- it feels comfortable- more than that- it feels just /right/ being in here with you. It's almost a little bit easier to be open here than back at school, as lame as that sounds"

<Cezar> Nalyda smiled. "That's... kinda why I brought you here..." She giggled and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Michael said to bring you somewhere we might be comfortable with. As much as I've... heh... killed you here... we're often in here."
<DarnellJermaine> Garrett couldn't but laugh at himself a bit, "Yeah, you do have a way of kicking my ass in here. Maybe that's why I fell for you~" he teases, nestling his head on top of hers. "Maybe we should get back to the dorms though, unless there's something else you wanted to tell me. It /is/ getting pretty late, after all"
<Cezar> She shook her head and closed her eyes. "Should we? I mean... nobody is going to want the danger room at this hour. And plus... look at this view. It's amazing." She smiled.
<Cezar> "Unless you want to go back?"
<DarnellJermaine> Garrett thought for a moment- has anyone ever spent the night in the danger room? Would it mess with their minds or bodies at all? He assumed there was no way to tell without trying, "You know what? I'd love to spend the night here with you"
<Cezar> "Oh... I don't know about spending the night. But we can stay for a little longer. It.. makes me somewhat nervous just leaving my body out in the open all night with no way for me to defend myself, you know?"

<DarnellJermaine> "Sounds fine by me" he says, still holding onto her as he looks out over the balcony once more. So this is what Nali's world was like, huh?
<Cezar> It looked a lot like any normal modern-day city. Except, in some places, there were some unrecognizable machines that seemed to glow with a sort of strange energy. Like... futuristic generators. Nalyda soon broke his view though, as she pressed her lips against his firmly, eyes closed.
<DarnellJermaine> Rather than just stand their shocked, Garrett wraps his arms around Nali's waist and presses back, fully immersing himself in the experience for once instead of standing there like an idiot. When it ends, he looks her right in the eyes and says "You're the best thing that's ever happened to me"
<Cezar> She smiled and bit her lip. "Do you want to go back to the dorms, then?"
<DarnellJermaine> "Yeah. It's been kind of a crazy night, might be a good idea to get some sleep"
