Empathy to me is one of the important characteristics one can have. In my own life it has been the thing thats allowed me to make friends and important relationships, as well as recieve help. Empathy can help build better software because it is all about connecting. If you connect with the client and understand where theyre coming from you better understand their wants/needs. Empathy can help you understand your teammates and better navigate a successful relationship over all and be more efficient. Empathy allows you to see an recognize a problem and understand an experience. All of these things are what can contribute to buidling better software. Sometimes it can be difficult for me to be empathetic in proffessional situations when it feels like being stuck in a loop and the same problems and/or attitudes arise over and over. Getting over the frustration and continuing to point out what I see and experience is probably the best way to combat that.
