Sundered North PF Monday Session 4

Start: 1 am, Harvestide 4, 414 GA

After their long journey, the party rested in camp. Clarice in tow, they answered Sergeant Norris's summons for their new assignment.

Sergeant Norris briefed them on their mission. A mysterious third-general, named Jhrael Iestorial, personally tasked them with recovering an object held within an orc held temple to the north. The idol is known as 'The Idol of Lost Ways' and the local temple under orcish control is the Temple of the Maid of the Ways.

Tuva accurately assessed this temple as an offshoot heresy of her beliefs.

Norris was baffled by the assignment, and provided greater aid than required of him when Castiel asked for it. He allowed the party to select their rewards from the officer's chest. He genuinely wished them luck, and provided a bit of exposition on the area. It was held by orcs, and he told them to avoid the passes if possible, and to exercise caution on their approach, because it was well within orc held territory. Orcs typically do not patrol the territories they hold very well, unless the territory is on the front lines of the fighting, however.

A bit confused, the party and Clarice began their journey with little more fanfare.

Crossing the mountains directly, avoiding the passes as instructed, the party made their way to the temple. They crept in to the temple, devising a pulley system to bring Rune to the roof level.

They ambushed the orcish party resting in the upper temple level and contended with the orcs joining from the lower level. One priestess managed to escape. Examining their surroundings, Tuva noted oddities about the religious idols which seemed to confirm her suspicions.
