  1. Rupees:
  2. It's pretty hard to come across rupees early in the game leaving you unable to buy much, unless you sell things. One of the best rupee makers are fishes, always catch fish when you find them. Use bombs to easily capture them, then you can cook 5 together and sell the result for good rupees (100+). The fish near impa's house sell for a lot (sanke carp)
  3. Also you can sell apples so try to get as much of them as you can, cook 5 together and sell the result for 50 rupees. Selling cooked food in general is a good way to earn money, but fish and apples are easy to come by. Just keep a supply of fish later for upgrading the zora armor.
  4.
  5. Healing items:
  6. The best way to get healing items is not by cooking, but by gathering meat from wild animals and throwing it into fire to roast them. So kill as much wild animals as you can so that you can have a large supply of roasted meats to heal yourself with. You start to find higher tier meats as the game progresses which can heal you better. I recommend throwing bombs to kill wildlife which makes for an easy kill and doesn't waste resources. You can even sell off excess meats if you have too many late in the game. You can throw the meat in the snow to freeze them and increase their resell value.
  7. Cooking is better for attack and defense buffs rather than healing. Unless you cook something that's hearty which fully heals you.
  8.
  9. Spending spirit orbs:
  10. In the early game it's best to increase your hearts up until you have about 10-13 with a bit of stamina in between. After that, fully prioritize stamina upgrades. Health doesn't matter since you can heal yourself with meats really easily. Plus you never get penalized for dying so hearts aren't so important. Stamina will help you get through the majority of the world so it's really important.
  11.
  12. Monster Parts:
  13. Never sell your monster parts, it's your reward for defeating enemies. Basically it's this game's way of gaining exp. You need these to upgrade certain armor with great fairies
  14.
  15. Korok seeds:
  16. Don't go out of your way collecting korok seeds, as only 400 of the 900 seeds count towards inventory expansions. Get them if they're in your path and they aren't overly difficult to get. Even 300 seeds is enough for you to have a large weapon storage capacity. Once you reach 400, don't collect anymore korok seeds.
  17. You should prioritize upgrading your weapon storage since you'll be getting full of weapons easily more than shields and bows.
  18.
  19. sneaking:
  20. Sneaking in this game is actually incredibly easy. Simply crouch down and then hold forward and tap X, Link will do a short hop. This makes no sound whatsoever so enemies will never hear you hopping. Keep hopping forward until you're behind the enemies and you'll get to back strike them. Enemies have a tendency to face one direction or pace back and forth on the same path. Also it's worth equipping your strongest weapon before back striking the enemy since you deal 8 times the damage with your equipped weapon.
  21.
  22. Mountain climbing:
  23. You can actually stop climbing once you're on an incline at a slight angle. Just press B to stop climbing and keep holding forward and link will walk up the hill and rest up the stamina gauge, then you can continue climbing again. Learning this is incredibly important for climbing more efficiently throughout the game, just look out for the slightest bit of a hill while climbing. This won't work if it's a flat wall with a 90 degree angle.
  24. Also if it's raining, you will slip after climbing for about 3 seconds. So it's good to use this technique to your advantage to reset the timer for Link slipping while climbing. Or you can throw wood on the floor and flint and strike it to make a campfire in a sheltered area and rest until the next day so the rain passes.
  25.
  26. Combat:
  27. When facing stronger enemies, its best to get into the habit of immediately equipping your strongest defense armor and eating an attack buff meal. Now the best approach to get in free hits is to stun the enemy with a shock or ice arrow and then use your two-handed weapon's spin attack to repeatedly get hits. You can extend the stun by following up with Urbosa's fury to get more swings in. Finish the enemy off with flurry rushes by dodging them and you're done.
  28.
  29. Treasure chests:
  30. If you initiate the stasis rune, chests will glow yellow in your surroundings which also makes it much easier to find underwater chests. It's good to make it a routine to use this rune when exploring large areas, you'll likely miss treasure without this. The best rewards from chests are rupees and all kinds of arrows.
  31.
  32. gems/ore:
  33. Whenever you come across an ore deposit, don't use bombs or else all the ore will scatter and fall off nearby ledges. Instead, use your two handed weapons to cut them open.
  34. The gems/ores can be sold early on in the game to help with rupees so don't be afraid to sell them. But later on you'll want to have some for certain armor upgrades. If you're lucky, an ore deposit will spawn a diamond!
  35.
  36. Enemy Ranking:
  37. Whenever you defeat a certain amount of enemies, they will rank up and change color. This gives them more HP than before. So you can decide not to defeat enemies so they don't rank up, or you can defeat them and upgrade your armor. Just a tidbit.
  38.
  39. Wood:
  40. You'll want a HUGE supply of wood so it's best to start farming it earlier on or else it'll be hell farming for it later. It's only if you care about the Tarry Town sidequest or the Link's house sidequest. Both require a ton of wood. It's best to use bombs on trees to not wear your own weapons out.
  41.
  42. Ice and fire weapons:
  43. Save these for the snow and volcanic regions since it will enable you to one shot certain enemies that are weak against them. Especially the fire and ice golems.
  44. Also, having a fire weapon equipped grants protection against the cold so it's good for when you don't have cold protection armor yet.
  45.
  46. fire/ice/shock/bomb arrows:
  47. Don't save these arrows, they're meant for combat so use them up. If you're cheap with them, you'll end up with 300+ of each arrow type late in the game. Always consider using these arrows when you get the chance, there's plenty to find throughout the game and they're incredibly useful in battle. The elemental arrows are especially useful on enemies with elemental weakness (fire/ice).
  48. A shock arrow can make the enemies drop their weapons immediately and stuns a group of them.
  49.
  50. Defeating guardians:
  51. It's important to defeat guardians so that you can get their parts which you need a LOT of. They also have a chance of dropping a giant ancient core. One easy way to defeat guardians is to use stasis to freeze them in place, and go straight for their legs. Every time you break a leg it stuns the guardian with enough time to go for the next leg. Until you eventually remove all the legs. If it starts walking, use stasis again and cut a leg. It's an easy win once all the legs are removed. If you have any ancient weapons, use them since they deal extra damage against guardians.
  52.
  53. How to break the game:
  54. - You can farm fairies from fairy fountains by holding your fairies in your hand in a bundle and get up to 11 fairies max. you will never get game over as long as you keep farming these. Avoid this if you want a challenge.
  55. - If you cook hearty foods, they fully heal you. It's super easy to get an over abundance of these and fully heal yourself which is a major cheap shot. Avoid these if you want a more fair challenge.
  56. - If you sneak strike all the enemies in the game, you will never have to do combat even on master mode. It's incredibly cheap and doesn't show any mastery of the game's techniques. Avoid if you want to actually play the game properly and face the enemies head on.
  57. - If you equip Majora's Mask, all enemies (except lynels) will think you're one of them and won't attack. This is a stupidly easy way to walk into enemy camps and take whatever you want. Paired with the phantom armor, it's insanely broken. You can do whatever you want and avoid combat altogether by keeping it on.
  58. - If you equip the ancient armor, get an ancient battle axe++, and eat an attack buff meal, you'll have a total of 130% attack boost which is insane. And when used against guardians, make that 160% attack boost. If you combine this with sneak striking for 8x damage, you can one shot anything. Further making sneak striking broken when abused on every enemy encounter.
