[20:25] Finley approached Rinn.

A small bow of his head followed, one that showed the Crown of Aschea was definitely not there, but instead tied to his side by a sash of cloth.

"Should we speak here or elsewhere?" he asked simply, not wishing to waste more words than necessary until the time for greater speeches came.

[20:25] Khione says, "If that's to me Ella, not quite a Dragonlord yet as it is now.. Though yes."
[20:26] Ella Gracia says, "Oh, - My apologise Khione."
[20:26] Urist Silverbane asks, "Wha' Situation?"
[20:26] Urist Silverbane says, "If Y'dinnae mind M'askin'."
[20:26] Khione says, "Someone torturing Dragon Spirits for potions, and someone was helping them.. One is dead now, the other punished. "
[20:26] She offered the ice draknite a warm smile.

"I fixed my side of the issue by the way. He, is no more, and will no longer bother your people again with his tainted magics."

A warm smile was offered to the draknite.

[20:26] Magne stepped into the square. A flask of coffee rested in one hand and the other held a piece of paper she was carefully scanning over.

[20:26] A pause, and a glance around. Sure. That was everyone who mattered, so then she rises. But their contingency is not met with a neutral, let alone any sort of kindly stare. There is ire.

"Come."

Yeah. They were going to move. It was too noisy here.

[20:26] Knowing he'd likely not get another chance, the drakanite would wander over to Magne and lay a small parcel on the table. When opened it would reveal a rare alchemical ingredient that he'd found on his search for Sanna earlier in the day.

"Well considering I haven't been able to get anyone to even consider buying this, I guess I'll just give it away." he murmured, moving back to the stack of crates nearby...before Scarlett took the spot he'd intended to stand in.

Sighing irritably, the drakanite pinched the bridge of his nose and readied to depart.

[20:27] Magne Kriemhild says, "We have a castle."
[20:29] Offering a gentle smile towards Ella, she still bore some small amount of cuts on her features, grazing blows.. but remnants of the duel that had passed mere hours ago. "I am glad he is gone, and I can only hope I softened him up a bit for you."

They had fought before he happened across Ella it seemed, but she was glad to help however she was able, but she was moreso glad to see the remorse she wanted to be seen.

[20:38] "I won't waste your time." Finley began. "The fall of Osrona didn't go as planned. I could sit here and make some apologies but they would be lies. What happened to that city happened because Alexander was given an honor duel to end the feud with Asta, and at its close he chose to swing a bit higher. Like Serea before him, he believed he could become a godslayer." The crown was set on the table, its gem glowing faintly while it wasn't on its bearer's head.

"The last remaining vessel of our Mother Aschea remains there." A crystal blue finger tapped the gem. "Alexander knew this. It was his target all along. Not Asta, not one of his enemies. But our deity. It is the same as Serea believing she had a right to attempt to slay Garljing. We're fortunate she's gone."

The High Lord looked around. "This doesn't absolve Myllenoris for what happened. And far from it, we don't ask or deserveforgiveness for the razing of the city. I offer this explanation only as a way to provide some insight, though I'm more than aware it'll be insufficient." He leaned back just a tad in his chair.

"What comes next is what's important, and it's why I've come here to speak with you directly. The Stellus wishes to reconstruct Osrona following Regulus' own ideas. Given the Lord Chancellor passed with Asta, we're on our own in the matter to solve all of this. But I'm keeping to what words I can, and that is that Theria is offered and still very much invited to oversee parts of that construction and sit on a council if they so choose."

"The Fireblooded faith will be welcomed in what Romani creates as an equal to his own Celestial church as well as what Valeborne take residence there."

A pause followed while Finley peered across the tables directly to Rinn. His pale gaze was one void of most emotion, but there was some sincerity to be noted there.

"Your distrust for us is well founded. Myllenoris' track record at this point is smeared. I can't change the past. I can only change the future, and my future will be one of healing, of hopeful peace and prosperity for the sovereign nations of Esshar. You may hate me. But unlike any other Teraphim, I'll never lie to you. I gave up the right to deceive long ago."

[20:45] Cetta knew of the massive battle.. of Asta and Regulus' death, but she did not know Alex attempted to destroy the crown. What effects that would have on all Teraphim, now or in the future that could have were beyond Cetta, if it would affect them at all.

Yet still, as someone who spent their entire life doing everything they could for peace, it greatly hurt her to hear that the person she saw most as a mother.. became a wraith and began trying to slaughter EVERYONE.

At that point, Asta was comparable to Del, who just wanted to kill people for death's sake.

Cetta is glad to hear that Finley at least owns up to the mistakes of their home. That is a good sign that perhaps something like that will not happen again.

Lately, Cetta had been telling people to not focus on the past, it can not be changed, to remember it and use it to help them shape a better future, one for them, and their descendants.

Now that the meeting had began, this diplomat waited patiently, to see if any portion may require her input. A lot of the time it didn't, but sometimes she could raise important questions that may be glaring on the table, but still go unnoticed.

[20:54] She and likely the rest of them had been waiting to see what would be said about the ordered genocide, what words they would try to use to soften the blow.. She had Rinn had been there, watched the carnage and needless bloodshed.

Her tone was as gentle as ever, a question living pink lips as she glanced towards the Teraphim present more so than the rest for now. "..As more of a curiosity, how do your actions stand with the balance your faith would represent..? I'm not prosecuting or defending anyone, I just would like some insight into the perception of such an act many would call atrocious. No matter the reason." Innocent women and children put to the torch because of a single man. Basten had wronged Dragonkind, but was she after all of Illburg..? No. Only those responsible. "It was however, terrible to hear after such a long fought battle, the screams of the helpless as they fell to ones blessed as yourselves." Her expressed opinion on the matter for the moment, but she would gauge the reactions of others before she would or wouldn't say more.

"The plan had been to place a member from each participating settlement among the Council over Osrona, which at this point would only be Theria and Myllenoris yes..? Alabastre didn't participate in the last few conflicts on either side." Her vermillion hues gleaming as the circular pupil flattened into a slit.

"Asta appointed you to be the one to sit on this Council.. Even if it's not been decided who Theria would send just yet, who would you have in mind..?" Ella..? Some other person she didn't really know?

[21:00] As they stepped into the room, Magne carefully lowered herself into the same chair as the last time she was in here. The room was always well kept and beautifully decorated; it had become much more than the bath house it had once been during the days prior to Rinns appointment as Dragonlord.

Her eyes locked onto that crown. The crown that had caused the world so many problems. Frankly, she could make an attempt to destroy it right now and rid the world of its curse, but this was a diplomatic meeting. That wouldn't serve any purpose. A nod was given to Finley as he placed it down, with the Dragonlord visibly pleased that he wasn't wearing the corrupted element upon his head.

It was always much easier to talk with one of sound mind than one driven mad by the whispers of many.

"To think this all could have been done away with if Alexander had simply followed Astas wishes in the battle prior to last and abdicated. So many lives lost unnecessarily." Magne sighed, slipping away her sheet of paper and coffee flask for now. There was a time and a place.

Her eyes shifted over to Rinn, wondering what kind of chaotic olde-Therian style politicking she was going to lay on the table today. Quite frankly, Magne had many words to say to this troupe but she was quite rightfully biting her tongue; each of them was sour and not worthy of such a meeting. Instead of letting such an outburst get to her, she shifted immediately to the topic of the rebuilding of Osrona.

"From everything I've seen and heard, both the late Pericles and Stellus Romani here were, and are, righteous and sound of mind. He'd be a perfect choice for a councillor seat upon New Osrona. We are still sticking with the 'one from each' when it comes to Osronan rulership, yes?" the dragonlord questioned, drumming her fingers upon the table.

"On the topic of Myllenoris, it is going to be a very long timeuntil we can truly trust you again. Your actions will speak louder than your words when it comes to something like this, and the Dragonlords will be watching carefully. What happened within Osrona was, quite frankly, abhorrent and disgusting and an atrocity such as genocide should not have been in the minds of any person present. We did not agree to such as a council, nor would we ever."

Magne's talk with Rikka earlier had shed some light on things; they were still cleaning the blood of children from what remained of their streets. It sickened the Holy magi to her very core and the only reason she did not want the same to happen to the Teraphim was because it'd make her just as bad as they.

"The Fireblooded faith being allowed within this new creation," she began, coughing as she changed her track back to one that didn't cause intense anger within her, "given that it will also mean Garljing is no longer a target of Osronas. My duty is to my people, and I won't accept anything that puts innocents in harms way."

Magne then turned to the other Dragonlords, wondering what their take on the situation is. They still had to discuss terms after all; they had to do this diplomatically and rationally, leaving emotion out of such.

[21:01] Ella would cross her legs as she would be seated quietly at the table, slowly and steadily smoking on a cigarette. If it ran out, she would simply take another... It was slowly becoming a habit that was overpowering her mind.

Yet still, it was one of the easiest ways to relax. It allowed and gave her some time to breathe some polluted air. If she was to die soon, she'd at least go out in her own way... Finley offered his explanation, followed by Khione's questions and reasoning.

Yet the question of balance came... "Balance is tricky, Khione." She spoke softly. "I believe balance was displayed in full when Lady Hargrave had to die, to see to the city being captured... However." A long breath was taken, she flicking some ash onto an ashtray that she conjured...

"The slaughter - it was out of control. It is not what was planned or intended... Yet to see, Alexander attempt to strike down our primadorial…" She would let out a soft sigh. Ella truly believed that for them to take Osrona, Asta had to die but...

The slaughter - what she said, spoke for itself.

"If Finley would like - I do not mind sitting on the council of Osrona for a limited time. I am from the city, I know it quiet well and I can help in its reconstruction as well as its rehabilitation." A genuine smile was offered to the table of Draknites.

[21:07] "An understatement." She responds, butting into his own next words to accept her point firmly before he then continues without such a rudeness again.

And her countenance does not soften, but the tone to follow does as she leans back, and her shoulders lose some of their tension. Her wings fold in. She neatens up her stance in seat before she speaks.

"I'm glad we're at an understanding of where we are right now, at least. That Theria does not and will not take kindly to their agreements being gone back on in the heat of the moment. But you're right. We can't undo all those blatant war crimes you committed, so let's look forward."

She recedes into a deadpan enough expression to lose that last sense of external tensions for now.

"I owe it to a few people. People I promised to keep Osrona from outright burning, and failed to do so. I am going to have a direct hand in the management and rebuilding of Osrona from what it is now, to something it once was. I've already decided that much."

She'd amends to make, however it might be possible. Somehow, it had to be. Her word meant that much to her. More than some coalition. More than how her own people felt. Her word was law.

[21:10] Though Walter makes no intervention for the introductory segments of the meeting besides a sparse few non verbal emotes, the brute finally interjects when mention of representatives is tossed. Perhaps Alabastre represented a settlement, but certainly not an involved party. As such, their cooperation and weight in battle was all but noticeable.

A hoarse glottal attack clears the masked man's throat as he seeks to call for their attention. Perhaps his was the most affected party, and not by a lack of diminishing collateral damage. There's a pensive shake of his head before he replies to the diplomatic spread.

"You see - perhaps the mercenary's guild had no incidence in the events transpired the other day. But the fact that their settlement is erect above sea level makes them no more worthy of consideration than the Family. As I'm sure you know, our party did more than merely provide support. " A finger raises and wiggles. "We were promised responsibility over the area of Sudbury with our compliance. I expect myself to be fully involved as a representative, same as Romani and company."

There's a languid bob of his head, as he finally makes comment on the excessively violent outcome of the war. There's an air of suspicion and pursuit to his words, and the lack of palpable expression in presence of the white leather mask does all but allow for anything to sip through.

"... I'm sure none other than the late High Lady knew of the potential outcome of such duel. We did all we could to have the city evacuated from within: spread letters, ran word through the underground." A pause. "Though now I think of it, Sythaeryn was quite lenient on it transpiring, wasn't he?"

A second shake of his head dismisses the posture.

"Pardon that, carry on."

[21:11] Taking a seat at the table, Romani would begin to listen to all the words there, not interjecting until there was something he felt it was right for him to comment on.

"I wrote a document. Either a rough, or final draft depending on whether it is liked or not. I believe it is currently in Finley's position, and it should explain Regulus and Asta's initial plan for both the Council, as well as the Election process. I believe it would be good to allow it to be seen, and publicly release a signed copy of it."

"But yes. I believe that both Theria and Myllenoris should send someone to assist in the council of Orsona, and in the rebuilding."

A small nod. He does not comment on the razing of the city, likely something that he had a chance to go over with Finley before a bit.

"I do believe it would be best to build a church that represents the Celestial religion, the Fireblood faith, and that of Aschea. By having equal representation, there should be more tolerance, but to maintain such, each city may wish to send members of their faith to reinforce it. People do better with other Faiths when they get to see them more often."

The talk of the Family goes somewhat.. over his head, given Romani had been incarcerated before hearing the name, and so a slight tilt of his head was sent towards Walter, mainly in confusion.

[21:12] Rinn asks, "... You're going to have a near-impossible time convincing the people of Osrona to not see you all as monsters. You know that, right?"
[21:22] To Khione the High Lord turned, bringing his crystal and flesh hands together atop the table. "The balance was a reaction. A strike against Aschea herself stirred her wrath in our hearts, in our minds. This isn't to say we lost our faculties. The choices were our own. The orders I gave were my own. Alexander. His mother. Most of the Petrakis line and so many Osronans see my way of life, and yours, as false, incorrect. They call us savages. They would wipe out our faiths, our cultures, our cities if they could. They would dictate how and what we worship. Even facing oblivion, Alexander never learned what this war was about."

"And it was about his lack of understanding that Esshar is shared. So many years ago when the wedding night happened, he tried to arrest Asta for magic he didn't understand, but magic that was harmless, if only foreign to him."

"And at the end, he still struck out against the Crown. He still saw himself capable of ruining so much." Finley shook his head once. "..but the balance that will happen next is that for this atrocity, I'll see to it that violence on our end is more than limited. The Teraphim had their night of bloodshed. We had our vengeance. Our efforts now will only be pointed toward what news of the Coven we hear, and we'll continue to seek out Alexander and his loyalists knowing that should they rise in power again, they'll be certain to start another conflict."

"As for Ilburg. Theria. Alabastre. Even Romani's Osrona? Myllenoris will have no part in trying for conquest. Myllenoris will have no part in seeking supremacy or whatever Asta wished for. I don't believe a Teraphim is needed on every throne. And it will be my intention to turn my focus inward on my home to restructure. To heal. To mend. That's where this balance will lie, for the Valeborne must correct it."

He hoped that explanation was enough, but it was still likely only a small concession to the drakanites.

To Magne, Finley nodded again. "The atrocities will be remembered forever. I don't intend to absolve myself of any of it. I'll bear the weight of my sins for the remainder of my days. And while my hope will be to secure some trust in Myllenoris' allies, it's as you said; actions will be the only thing to mend that. And my movement now is to place my trust in Romani and allow him to do as he believes best for his home and the people who survived."

"I approved of the honor duel as well." Finley said, now looking to Walter. "We all understood it. Sythaeryn's idea was nothing more than the truth of this war, and it was that so long as both Alexander and Asta lived, the fighting would never end. One had to die at the close.

On cue, Finley passed over Romani's document to the Stellus so he could allow the others to see it if he so chose.

And then to Rinn, the High Lord continued.

"You're more than welcome to do as you see fit for Osrona at this point. So long as we can agree that the Petrakis line be prohibited from coming to power again and that Alexander himself remain removed from the throne for his part in all of this, then I myself don't intend to play too large a part in the reconstruction aside from what aid Myllenoris can and will offer."

"The people of Osrona will see the Teraphim as their destroyers for generations. The only way to change anything about this is by continuing into the future. We look different from humans. We believe different things. But we are just another people. That's what Alexander never could wrap his head around. That's the great lie he continued to tell them. It's a shame that we proved them right in the end.. but man has done worse against itself throughout history. All I can wish is that Teraphim are continue to write their own mark on it, one that might, as Khione pointed out, balance out this night of terror with some sort of greater salvation."

Though Finley knew if something like that ever did happen, it would likely be long after he had passed away.

[21:23] She remained silent at least up until Ella's offer, to that, she spoke.

"Normally, I would agree, Ella, that you would do well as a council member. However you've some things to figure out first. Your upcoming wedding with Kofe is going to upset much of Ilburg, you have people such as Dornar and Cayden after you. Even with Basil being the new leader of Ilburg, you will still have Ilburg's people to win over. Basten was an idiot, but the people of Ilburg were very loyal to him, and you took him from them."

She briefly clears her throat before continuing.

"I don't want you getting spread too thin in terms of duties, and combined the whole Ilburg, Myllenoris, Osrona situation might get a bit sticky.

Are you up to handling that sort of thing if it comes your way? There is also the whole issue of.. yea, the Osronan people themselves."

Speaking of that, time to touch base on a question of hers.

"In regards to the refugees, what grounds will there be towards allowing them back into Osrona? I assume warmongers such as Del will not be allowed back in, along with those who choose loyalty to Alex over life." A lot of people though? They were simply just trying to protect their home from being destroyed, obviously with good reason.

She glanced over towards Finley, then Romani. "I do like the idea of a combined religion building, it cuts down on the whole religious hatred stuff. It gives people a chance to understand one another."

[21:24] Finley says, "I'll decide on some Myllenoran council member with Romani soon. I'm still sorting out everything in the wake of Asta's death."
[21:25] She had heard of the Family of course, and what was supposed to be built.. Though she wasn't sure if it was any sort of wise for them to have such a foothold in both places, but she would ask.. "Who promised this..? I've been present for plenty of these meetings, and this is the first I've heard of it." She looks towards the others present, not saying he was lying by any stretch, merely that she honestly hadn't heard this before now.

Though moving on, she wouldn't respond to Ella's comment about balance, she had heard what she needed. Balance hadn't been in the picture in that span of time, but if their faith was to be believed, the scales would right themselves eventually. Though to some degree Finley's eased her a bit, but only time would tell if it was indeed the truth.

After touching a hot stove so many times you get wary, but perhaps it would prove he was different.

"Romani's suggestionis a solid one, some of the Templars could spend time there once the dust has settled a tad." She nods, humming softly. Peering towards the other Therians present, she speaks. "Who do you suggest be the representative for the free city..?"

[21:25] Ella Gracia says, "We'll talk about this later, Cetta - but I think you vastly misread the situation."
[21:27] Cetta Amor says, "It's possible, heard some things in Ilburg this morning, but perhaps exhaustion on my part made things seem different."
[21:30] "Actually, I will address this now."

The woman would turned to the draknites. "I figured it out, Basten's whole scheme and how he controlled people. I didn't get it... His hold over people was, magnificent. But now, I get it." Ella would rummage around in her pockets and take out a small bag, filled with a powder.

"He was the biggest exporter of Sylavanum on the island. It's actually quiet simple. Without it, Basten is forgotten and Basil can take back Ilburg. Also, if I'm not mistaking, Cayden and Dornor both also left Ilburg because of the new change in rule." She smiled, taking the bag and placing it back into her pocket.

"I would like to ask that this drug be confiscated if found... It ruins people - it will destroy people." She shook her head. That was all she had to say regarding what Cetta pointed out.

They would finish this conversation at home. She wasn't going to debate with Cetta no longer, but she thought it important to inform the draknites of how Basten ruled exactly.

[21:31] Her head turned over to Rinn as she made her case. Magne was very much impressed with her growth; she'd expected a screeching outburst from the Dragonlord as was custom back when she attended the meetings. It was good to see that she'd grown into someone that could hold their calm.

Or perhaps she was incapable of experiencing such intense emotions after everything that had happened. Perhaps life had stabbed her in the back one too many times for her to feel them anymore.

Regardless of what Magne said prior, the Dragonlord nodded in agreement with Rinn. She put it better than Magne could have. Her Holy magic drove her to emotional extremes when she perceived injustice and it had been a problem before. Even as she'd given her own thoughts on it, she hadn't exactly been. . light.

Next, to Walter. Quite honestly, she had no idea who he was or who he represented. A mercenary guild from Sudbury, she supposed from his words? But why would he have come with Myllenoris to prior appearances even if he'd been paid by them. Alabastre perhaps? The talk of The Family elicited a wry chuckle from the woman, knowing exactly what the group had been up to through her eyes and ears within that mafia. Until they made a move upon Theria, she was content to let them do whatever they wanted.

"Members of the Fireblooded will likely always be present within the grounds of this new Church, given practically every Drakanite within Theria to my knowledge follows it somewhat. Hearing of their initial plans would be good; I'm sure as a group we can tweak some to our personal likings and come to a proper conclusion on what to do about it."

Perhaps Magne herself should make a drive to reinforce the tenets of the Fireblooded within the population. It was something oft done, but not oft spoke of. She knew the Templar had waned since she had resigned as Captain, but perhaps she'd be able to comeup with something better. Something more aligned with Theria. Something out of the clutches of Dun Task, the madman.

Her head turned to Finley as he spoke, taking care to mask her expressions from her countenance. His idea of balance was 'limiting' the violence? The slaughter of thousands of men, women and children was 'vengeance?' It made Magnes blood boil. Every mention of that night made her blood boil. If the Red Queen herself attempted to pull it out of her body, she'd be met with severe facial scarring.

A few deep inhales and exhales were taken with her eyes closed, Holy magic coursing through her circuitry and body in order to try and bring peace and calm to herself so she could continue onwards.

"I'm glad that you are responsible enough to take that unto your shoulders, High Lord. It takes a strong person to do such a thing. Many try to excuse or escape from their failures. It gives me a touch more faith in your leadership that you are the kind of person that you are." she nodded, eyes shifting back over to the Stellus.

"May we see that draft?"

A raised eyebrow was sent to Ella. Kofe and her were to be wed? Hadn't Kofes beloved fiancé only JUST shipped out of Esshar? That man either moved quickly, or the things that she'd been told were true and he was only interested in the power that came with being together with a princess.

[21:34] Magne nods and begins scanning over it, passing it over to Rinn when she was finished.

[21:34] Ella Gracia says, "I believe Kofe might have a more recent draft. He still has alot of Regulus' stuff, Romani."
[21:34] There's a wince as their payment is left untouched upon initially by Finley. However, he can only bring himself to play nice in wake of their deals being disregarded or shunned upon. It had not been the first time of the year in which the elites looked down upon their actions or rights. It would certainly backfire soon enough, were they not compliant with their own discourse. Yet, time to stir waters was far from nigh. Walter snarls, then merely answers to Khione's inquiry with a severe, deadpan phonation.

"The High Lord did."

[21:35] Walter Docro says, "I have no rush to see the document. However, I'd appreciate it if it were passed onto me."
[21:35] Romani cos Montclaire says, "He might. I have not seen Kofe with a draft, and that one is entirely crafted from my conversations with Regulus, without outside influence."
[21:36] Rinn asks, "Oh, who needs it next?"
[21:36] Magne Kriemhild asks, "I'd say pass it to Khione, then to Walter?"
[21:36] Magne Kriemhild says, "It's on our side, so. ."
[21:36] Finley says, "Sudbury will be overseen by Walter, yes."
[21:36] Finley says, "It was something I spoke with Asta about before the siege. If she didn't bring it up at the meetings.. I apologize."
[21:36] Romani tents his fingers, glancing towards Cetta.

"Alexander will be banished upon threat of death from the rebuilt Orsona. Del will be banished upon threat of death from the rebuilt Orsona, as well as excommunicated from the Faith. I believe it is important to have the people who began and pushed for this war utterly removed from the city and never allowed back. As for others,"

"I intend to have those that return denounce Alexander. But I do not think word is enough. I am still thinking, but I think there should be something that activates should people go to where he is located, or cities aligned with him that will leave lasting impressions upon them. That would discourage people from following him, after denouncing him, and make them not go back on their word."

[21:36] Khione says, "She hadn't."
[21:36] Khione says, "At all.."
[21:36] Walter Docro says, "... Mayhaps one to hide things, after all."

[21:37] Finley says, "Asta played her cards close to the chest. I fold my hand for all to see. She and I were more than different, we were opposites."
