While the machine is healing your Pokemon, the other new Trainers start up conversations. It's a good opportunity to learn a little bit about these potential allies/competitors if you participate or just listen in. Mostly, they just get introductions out of the way, since Gaol didn't seem to think those necessary. Jondo reveals himself to be a Ranger, and to some surprise, the demure Ignatius nods and adds that he is as well. Sal grudgingly admits that her family owns an inn in the Stone Villa. Sabina's from Aparson, but traveled around Iornia under her old master. Rayner was a Gym Trainer in Callantown, though he never officially registered, and used Marley's own Pokemon. Jondo and Sal translate for Sanya, who's apparently from Connough Valley. Sanya's Pokemon is healed first, and her group decides to get a head start, leaving almost immediately. Yours are next; Sabina's Pichu needs some extra care.

"So I think we missed out on the part where we all teamed up. You guys do that before me and the big guy got there?"

Ivan:
Ivan wouldn't pay too much attention to what most of them were saying, though thought that Sal would be richer than that. "Didn't you read the invitation you got? That was what was expected. Kids always skimmin'."

Sabina:
"Oh, well we're a natural team! Me, Rayner, and Iggy, we've known each other for a while!"

Eliza:
"It was addressed within the memo that Albion sent everyone. Something along the lines that groups for Delta research would probably be for the best." Eliza fiddles with Passe's ball deliberating what to do to punish her brown goat.

Nick:
Nick has a puzzled expression on his face, and pulls out the invitation. He scans through. "Oh, SERIOUSLY?! There was a part where you could request partners?"

Ivan:
"I don't know why you're the one complaining..."

Rayner:
"Well, it is what it is. You get what you get!"

Eliza:
"I was initially going to leave on my own of my own accord, but I didn't take into account for taking only a fresh Delta into the world."

Nick:
"Sticking me with a couple of babysitters..."

Nick:
"That sounds like a bad idea either way, you know? Anything could happen out there."

Ivan:
"Don't worry, you can go get yourself killed if you want. Just don't be dead weight." In actuality he thought the woman with the broken leg was more likely to be dead weight but didn't feel as much reason to be an ass to her.

Eliza:
"Yeah, I'm old eough to get the lights beaten of me. I'll be in your care, but don't take me lightly. I'll shove that syringe so far up your ass."

Eliza:
She taps her cane into the floor.

Nick:

"Easy now."

Sabina:
"Oh, you really shouldn't go out on your own! It's way easy to lost out there. My master used to say.... 'When one travels the feral wilderness; one questions whether it is villainous.'"

Sabina:
"I...think. I'm not sure!"

"I tried to tone her out as much as I could."

"The world is inded pretty vast. Something that you can relive over and still learn something new."

Ivan:
"Yeah I mean, if you don't -want- to travel with a bodyguard and a medic, you can be my guest, buddy. You won't be missed. If you wanna break off, do it when we have real man Pokemon and not just babies."

Rayner:
"Haha...try not to bicker too much. If a friend becomes an enemy in a heated moment, well..that wouldn't be good. Luckily we've got Sabina to keep us in line."

Nick:
"Oh, sure, you'll be useful enough. It's just going to be weird travelling with a couple of people in their 30s... what am I supposed to talk about, mortgages?"

Nick:

Sabina:
"You think you've got it bad... You'll make bonds eventually! You can talk about what you've seen and done on your travels!"

"Are my Pokemon healed yet?"

Eliza:
"Believe it or not introductions and learning about other people isn't as hard as you think." She peers over the counter, "Just about."

"Sorry, IS my Pokemon healed?"

"Yeah, has been for a while. I figured I shouldn't interrupt."

Nick:
"Nice." gonna take that then "So yeah. We going to head out and catch a few more, or what?"

Eliza:
"Unless you feel up for a Gym Challenge, that's what I was hoping you'd say.

"Sounds like a bad idea, going in with just one."

Jackie:
"Yeah...ya might wanna wait a tad to go bargin' in Rowurke's door. He's gettin' a little cranky lately. All he ever gets are, uh...well, newbies like you guys. Not much glamour to beating down kids, is there."

Eliza:
"Ever since the growth of the student body, the quality of his fights have been... less than promising."

Jackie:
"Don't mean you can't make him your first fight, but if ya go in there with the things you got right now, he'll stomp your faces in, if he even accepts the challenge."

Ivan:
"Yeah, no need to waste time and get our Pokemon get the tar kicked out of 'em." He addresses the nurse. "Hey, you know if they have gym trainers around here like REAL gyms, or is it just gimmick gyms?"

Nick:
Nick smirks. "Oh, yeah, you're not from the area, are you?"

Nick:
"You're going to love the Resort."

Rayner:
"That sounds about right...Marley did much the same thing. He'd just have me trounce anyone who walked in with their head up their ass. Hypocritical, maybe..."

Jackie:
"Oh, they got 'em. Most of the teachers act as Gym Trainers nowadays."

Jackie:
"They ain't no pushovers themselves, though!"

Eliza:
Eliza holds her hands out to prevent immediate assumptions, "I used to be before I was promoted up to being the head."

Eliza:
"A handful of my friends are rather legitimate challenges if they want it to be. Usually they're incorporated with the lessons."

Ivan:
"Oh, uh, yeah, I'm from...Castelia." He addresses Eliza. "Oh? So you got Pokemon besides that rat killin' goat then?"
Agi says to the GMs: 9 Castelia sounds like a 6th gen town maybe?
You whisper to Agi: 5th gen

Eliza:
"Unfortunately no, my close Pokemon have since departed with my two sons. They weren't of the Delta species of course."
Agi says to the GMs: fair.

Nick:
"You have kids? How old are they?"

Eliza:
The uniformed nurse adjusts her hat, "Crazy right? One of them just graduated from here and was sent to another region with my husband. The other... is probably around your age."

Eliza:
"He's probably out and about doing things." She shrugs.

Nick:
(Damn, how old is SHE?) Nick had assumed EARLY 30s but now is just confused

"Huh. Maybe we'll run into 'em?"
Thrice:

Ivan:
"Ah, that's a shame. I can kinda relate to the whole losing your Pokemon thing. Least you can see 'em again I guess." He wondered if he said too much. Either way, the woman seemed like she would probably have pretty high moral standards to hold him to next to the college brat.

"Either way, I'D like to get to having some Pokemon of my own." Nick pats his Pokeballs. "You two coming?"

Ivan:
"Yeah seriously. Let's go."

Eliza rolls up her sleeve and swipes a couple of seed packets on her way out, eyeing Jackie and raising her card, "Take it easy." She canes out behind her team.
Eliza whispers: I don't know what seeds to even buy but I assume that there were some - just tell me price and stuff

Ivan:
Ivan just addressed the elephant in the room directly after walking for a couple of minutes. "So uh...Your leg gonna be a problem? I know you have the goat and all but dunno how much you can trust him."

Eliza:
Eliza chuckles, "Oh, this?" She lifts her cane and twirls around her wrist, "I wouldn't worry about it too much." She demonstrates perfect strides empowered with a bit of strut, "Sometimes looking weaker than you are allows you to prey on the unknowing."

You whisper to Emergency: Here, there are some Pinap and Cheri seeds, for 100 each

"See you! Make sure you're ready for the next fight, won't you?"

Nick:
"Yeah, yeah, you'll get what's coming to you!"

Ivan:
"Guess I'll take your word for it." He doubted she could keep up for long but was open to being proven wrong. "So you're the expert on the area, teacher and all. Where's the best place to go to catch wilds?"
You whisper to Agi: you're not familiar enough with the area to know of any prime Pokemon spots

You whisper to Emergency: The forests outside the city are ripe with Pokemon, and Mt. Namon to the north has quite a few as well - but it's restricted to those with 2+ Badges. There's also the beach just south of the city, and the bay to the east. Most plentiful would be the lake to the north, though.

Eliza:
"Wilds, huh. It's been awhile since I've gone out and be a Trainer, but if we wanted a more secluded and perhaps even less explored area..." She puts on a thinking face and rubs her chin. "I have a couple of places in mind but it depends on what you guys are looking for."

Eliza:
"There's forest on the outskirts, the beach, and then the bay. Pick your vaccine."

Nick:

Jackie:

Jackie:
"If you want an old lady's advice, I wouldn't head to the beach. You're more likely to find students slacking off than anything of worth."

Jackie:
"Once you get a few more Pokemon, it might be a good place to look for some battles, though!"

Nick:
"Beach is out, then. Think your dog can handle the bay?"

Ivan:
"Well I wouldn't mind some water types. If the beach is full of tourists I guess we head for the bay." He addresses Nick. "Well if he can't take 'em I'll just pulverize 'em myself until they get in the damn balls."

Eliza:
"Alright, I won't incluide the after effects of what happens there, but let's get a move on."
Eliza: (( also I had assumed that we were already walking ))

On the way out of the city, there's a couple familiar faces, and an unfamiliar one. Gaol's resting his hand on his bigass Pokemon, while the blonde girl seems to be begging him for something. It looks like she stopped him on her way in. Unfortunately for her, he's not listening.

Eliza:

Gaol Albion:
"Aw, man, I'm sorry, but I'm all tied up right now! I'm a busy, busy man! Besides, isn't that kind of unfair? Trainers should make it on their own! Or you could ask those guys. Anyway, have fun with that! See ya!" He hops on the giant blue dragon next to him and takes off into the wild, just-as-blue yonder.

Scarlett:
The blonde girl looks dejected for a moment, then notices you and rushes over. Scarlett stares up after Gaol, confused and crestfallen, "W-wait! Ooohhhh..I...I guess I'll be taking the train back..."

Nick:
"Ha, nice!" Nick rushes in, holding his hand up to watch it fly away. "He has an evolved one, too?"

Eliza:

Blondie:
The other girl stops just short of running into you and sticks out her hand, "Hey there! I'm Allie, nice to meet ya! I hear ya come at high recommendation of a Gym Leader!"

Eliza: (( yep ))

Nick:
"Name's Nick, good to meet you! Oh, hey, Scarlett." He returns the handshake, but's still a bit distracted watching him fly off. "What was that all about?"

Ivan:
Ivan probably wouldn't have even registered Gaol and Scarlett talking if not for the Dragonite, only halfway paying attention to the conversation. He assumed the girl was talking about Eliza's past as a gym trainer and intended to just silently wait it out, expecting them to gab.
Eliza whispers: does allie do this often enough that I know her

Allie:
"Well, I wanted him to help me out, but...he kinda took off. But he said I could ask you!"
You whisper to Emergency: Nah, she's a pretty new face. She's been here just for a day or so. Apparently she's a traveler.

Eliza:
Eliza limps over and sets her hand briefly on Nixon's shoulder, "Show me how it's done buddy, or we're leaving you here."

Nick:

Eliza:
She gifts him a closed mouthed smile and slides over to Ivan.

Nick:
Nick gives Eliza a confused look. "Er - maybe, we're kinda busy, heading out to catch some Pokemon. Whatcha need?"

Scarlett:
"Uh..hey... " Scarlett's only kind of paying attention, chewing her nails and mumbling to herself, "I hope the professor doesn't get mad at me for being late...M-maybe he'll understand..."

Allie:
"Hey, that's cool! That's what I need help with! Kind of...Regardless, there'll be Pokemon where I'm going!"

Allie:
"You know what Pokemon Breeders are, right? I'm one of 'em! Except, I don't have many Pokemon to breed...so I go out and collect wild Eggs, and hatch 'em myself! Until I can get enough to afford some Poke Balls..."
Eliza: (( gib wilson 2.0 ))

Nick:
"...huh. So what, like, small-fry Pokemon? Rats, birds and such?"

Allie:
"Oh, no!"

Allie:
"The one I'm after is a Duskull egg!"

Allie:
"The mother's a Delta, and I figure if I hatch the egg, I can find out how to replicate that!"

Nick:
Nick whistles. "Alright... doing that without Pokemon of your own, though?"

Allie:
"Problem is, I think it's a rock type...every time I get near the next, rocks just start pelting me out of nowhere. Wouldn't be so bad, but..."

Nick:
"Guess that's where we'd come in."

Allie:
"I do have a Pokemon..."
Nick: (( oop, read the "many" as "any" ))

Nick:
"...Yeah. That'd do it."

Ivan:
"Uuuhhhh...What do you actually want help with exactly now?" He said to Allie before turning to Eliza. "This a friend of yours?" He had heard what she said but didn't trust Allie to not just take advantage of them and waste their time.

Allie:
"Uh, do you see the problem"?"

Nick:
So it has, like, 7 injuries right

Allie:
"It's really, REALLY helpful for putting things under without a fight, but I don't feel comfortable sending it against a bunch of rocks!"

Allie:
"I tried it myself, but they nailed me..."

Eliza:
"Nope, this is probably my first real interaction with her. I generally tend to avoid these types as promotions are growing with the Delta craze. The idea of breeding Deltas seems like a very good prospect."

Allie:
"Well, I need someone to take out whatever's throwing the rocks. I'm not a fighter..."

Nick:
"So what's in it for us, then? There's the mom, yeah, but you're getting the egg and there's three of us. We looking at a family?"

Allie:
"It didn't hurt too bad, so I don't think they're very strong, but I still don't want to go against Rock-Types with a Butterfree."

Allie:
"I don't think it's just one or two Pokemon...but I kind of doubt there's a ton of Duskull there. They're probably just Roggenrola or something, but you can catch as many as you want!"

Allie:
"And I can teach your Pokemon how to do something cool once we get back! I'm kind of in a hurry...They know I'm around, I don't want them to move their nest."

Eliza:
Eliza leans her head toward Ivan, "What do you think?"

Allie:
"There's got to be at least two Duskull, though! Couldn't be an egg otherwise..."

Nick:

"Or maybe it's another parent, but trust me - Duskull can't breed with Roggenrola."

He shrugged. "I wasn't expecting to go into a cave full of sentient rocks and bats first thing, but...I guess a Duskull could be cool?" He waved to try to get Allie's attention. "So what are you gonna teach our Pokemon to do exactly? You a move tutor? Can you teach a Houndour?"

Allie:
Allie knows where she's going, so she leads your group through the forests outside Boole. The day is clear, and the way known, but there's no path, so travel is slow as Allie makes sure she doesn't lose the trail and get lost. The trees, bushes, and briars littering the area don't help matters. As you pass through the forests, Allie mentions a couple of notable things she saw when she was here before; a lost backpack, a heavily-indented Pokemon trail, and so on, but there's no time to check them out right now.

Ivan:
"Lost backpack? Some kid die to Roggenrolas?" He couldn't help but stifle a laugh.
Ivan: (( I know they're going to rape us now ))

Allie:
"Oh, I didn't see it THERE! It was just in the woods somewhere around here."

Allie:
"Happens a lot - when you're running from something big, you shed all the weight you can! Better to lose a few items than your hide."

Allie:
"That's, uh, kinda why I'm in the situation I am right now..."

Ivan:
"Oh oh, okay. Where though? Just curious where there are tough enough wilds to do that." And he of course wanted a free backpack filled with highly valuable rattatas and bidoofs.

"Did you know Vigoroth can't be rput to sleep?"

"Kind of screwed up my plans..."

Allie:
"Oh, nah, that was a while ago, closer to Connough Valley. I just lost a lot of my stuff, you know?"

"I think it was to the south where I saw that backpack...there were some big tracks near it, though, so I didn't wanna get involved."

"Got it. Sheesh, sounds rough."

Eliza:
"Thank heavens you've lost only some material rather than your breeder abilities. How long have you been in this trade?"

Allie:
"Personally, just a couple years. I helped my dad out back when he was alive, though! Been around Pokemon all my life."

Nick:
"Pretty close now, yeah?"

Allie:
With no clear trail, you've had to move at half Speed, and it takes you an hour to get to the spot Allie'd mentioned. Thankfully, it seems she knows her way around the wilderness.

Nick:
