Haza: (I can sense it... A glimpse...of the red planet’s dormant power...)

ハーザ
(それは、精強の戦士達にとって
助けになるかも知れません…)
Haza: (It could be of great help to the mighty warriors...)

ハーザ
(そして、赤き星には別の門の鍵があるのかも…
私の与り知らぬゲートのネットワーク…)
Haza: (The red planet may hold the key to different doors... To a network of Gates unfamiliar to me...)

(この予測が当たっていたら、
ネピリアンに先を越されるわけにはいきません…)
Haza: (If my prediction rings true, then the Nepilians must not be allowed to reach them before the warriors...)

「…艦長、遅れてすみません」
Benkei: ...Sorry I’m late, Captain.

ブライト
「ああ…これで全員集まったな」
Bright: It’s fine. ...Looks like we’re all here now.

万丈
「…皆さん、僕のわがままを
聞いてもらってすみません」
Banjo: ...I apologize for asking you all to come hear me out.

ブライト
「いや、余程の事情なのだろう?」
Bright: Not to worry. I assume you have your reasons?

万丈
「ええ、僕らの世界に行く前に
お話ししておかねばならないことがありまして」
Banjo: Yes, there’s something I need to tell you before we go to our world.

ブライト
「ここにいる者にはロ外無用だと伝えてある」
Bright: No one here will breathe a word of what you have to say outside this room.

万丈
「ありがとうございます。以前、僕らの世界について
説明をした時、ヴァース帝国のアセイラム姫が
地球で暗殺されたという話をしましたが…」
Banjo: Thank you very much. Previously, when I gave you all an explanation of our world, I had said that Asseylum, the princess of the Vers Empire, had been assassinated.

万丈
「実は、本当のことじゃないんです」
Banjo: But that was not the truth.

アムロ
「なら、彼女は生きているのか」
Amuro: Then this girl is actually alive.

伊奈帆
「ええ。亡くなったのは影武者で…
本物のアセイラム姫は、わだつみという
地球連合軍の艦に乗っているはずです」
Inaho: Yes. The one that died was actually a body double... The real Princess Asseylum should be aboard the Wadatsumi, a United Forces of Earth battleship.

「君達がそれを知っているということは…」
Shima: And for the two of you to be aware of this...

伊奈帆
「僕達はしばらくの間、
彼女と一緒に行動していました」
Inaho: Yes, we had been working alongside her for some time.

アムロ
「だったら何故、アセイラム姫の無事を
ヴァース帝国に伝えないんだ?彼女の死が
戦争のきっかけになったんだろう?」
Amuro: If that’s the case, then why not tell the Vers Empire that she’s safe? Isn’t her death the reason they started the war there?

弁慶
「アセイラム姫が無事だとわかれば、
戦争を止められるんじゃないか?」
Benkei: Wouldn’t knowing she’s alive put a stop to the war?

伊奈帆
「一度、彼女はある火星騎士の前で
素性を明かしましたが、それでも
その騎士は攻撃を続行したんです」
Inaho: Once, there was a time she revealed her identity to a Martian knight. But the knight continued to attack regardless.

ミサト
「つまり、アセイラム姫の暗殺は
ヴァース帝国側の者が仕組んだということね?」
Misato: So you’re saying that implies that Princess Asseylum’s assassination was orchestrated by someone within the Vers Empire?

万丈
「そう…戦争の存続を望む一派によって。
そして、姫は今も彼らに生命を狙われているでしょう」
Banjo: That’s right... By a faction that wishes for the war to continue. Because of this, the princess’s life is still in danger of being targeted by them.

弁慶
「ヴァースの皇帝が事実を知れば、どうなる?」
Benkei: What if the Emperor of Vers found out the truth?

万丈
「停戦命令を出すんじゃないかと思います」
Banjo: Then I imagine they would give the order for a ceasefire.

伊奈帆
「でも、それを成し遂げるためには
皇帝本人か、アセイラム姫が信頼する人物に
事実を伝えるしかありません」
Inaho: But for that to happen, we would need to tell the truth to the Emperor himself or to someone that Princess Asseylum trusts.

ミサト
「確か、地球側の通信網は
ヴァース帝国側の妨害によって
まともに機能していないのよね?」
Misato: I believe you said before that the Earth’s communications network had been jammed by the Vers Empire, didn’t you?

伊奈帆
「ええ。そして、地球連合軍に対して
事実を正確に伝えるには、ロシアの本部に
アセイラム姫を連れて行く必要があります」
Inaho: Correct. That is why it’s necessary to bring Princess Asseylum to the United Forces of Earth’s headquarters in Russia to properly explain the truth to them.

ブライト
「では…まず、わだつみと
合流しなければならないわけか」
Bright: Then... Our first course of action should be to meet up with the Wadatsumi.

万丈
「そうです。
その後は僕らがアセイラム姫を
連合軍本部まで連れて行きますよ」
Banjo: That’s right. Following that, we’ll escort Princess Asseylum to the United Earth’s headquarters.

ブライト
「事情は把握した。
ネピリアンの脅威に備えるためには、各世界の
人間同士の戦いを終わらせる必要がある…」
Bright: We understand the situation now. In order to prepare for the coming Nepilian threat, we must quell the fighting between humanity in each world...

ブライト
「ハーザの予測が何を指すかまだわからんが、
アセイラム姫の保護をひとまずの目的としよう」
Bright: As we’re still unaware of what Haza’s prediction is about, we’ll make protecting Princess Asseylum our priority for the time being.

伊奈帆
「ありがとうございます」
Inaho: Thank you very much.

万丈
「今、アセイラム姫は正体を隠してセラムと
名乗っていますが、このことを知っているのは
僕と伊奈帆、ユニスと向こう側にいる数名のみです」
Banjo: Right now, Princess Asseylum is concealing her identity by using the name Seylum. The only ones that know the truth are myself, Inaho, Eunice, and a few others in our world.

ブライト
「了解した。
わだつみと最後に接触した場所は、
日本の浜松だったな?」
Bright: Understood. The last place you made contact with the Wadatsumi was in Hamamatsu, Japan, wasn’t it?

伊奈帆
「はい」
Inaho: Yes.

ブライト
「では、ゲートを通過した後、
まずはそこへ行ってから、わだつみの航跡を辿ろう」
Bright: Then after we’ve passed through the Gate, we’ll make our way there first and follow after the Wadatsumi’s trail.

アムロ
「無事にアセイラム姫を保護できたら、
俺達で連合軍本部まで連れて行くのか?」
Amuro: If it’s within our power to protect Princess Asseylum, then will we be taking her to the United Earth’s headquarters ourselves?

ブライト
「状況が許せばな。
ハーザが言っていたという、赤き星の力の
片鱗が何なのか、早めにわかればいいんだが」
Bright: If circumstances allow. It would certainly help if we knew what exactly Haza was referring to when she mentioned foreseeing “a glimpse of the red planet’s power” beforehand.

伊奈帆
「赤き星の力の片鱗…」
Inaho: A glimpse of the red planet’s power...

万丈
「赤き星は、おそらく火星…
その力の片鱗となると…」
Banjo: The red planet is probably Mars... And as for the glimpse of power...

伊奈帆
「アルドノアのことでしょうね、多分」
Inaho: It is likely she was referring to Aldnoah.

ブライト
「いずれにせよ、いつハーザがゲートを
開いてもいいよう、準備を急ぐ必要がある。
シマ司令、そちら側に何か問題はあるか?」
Bright: At any rate, we should finish any necessary preparations quickly before Haza opens the Gate. Are there any holdups on your end, Commander Shima?

シマ
「いえ、メンバーの選定は既に終わっています」
Shima: No, we have already finished our member selection.

シマ
「ルーシェン、クリス、メイウー、メイイェンの
4名と、ゼーガペイン・ガルダ、ゼーガペイン・
フリスベルグの2機をこちら側に残します」
Shima: Four of our people, Lu-Shen, Chris, May-Yu, and May-Yen, as well as the two machines Zegapain Garuda and Zegapain Hraesvelg, will all remain behind here.

シマ
「ホロボルト兵器の開発も進んでいますので、
オケアノスとアルティールがこの世界を離れても
ガルズオルムに対処できるでしょう」
Shima: Now that the Holobolt weapons have been developed, they should be able to fend off the GARDS-ORM even without the Oceanus and the Altair in this world.

ブライト
「了解した。
では、皆の準備を急がせてくれ」
Bright: Understood. Then I want everyone else to finish any other remaining preparations quickly.

『わだつみの行方』
Episode 68
The Wadatsumi’s Whereabouts


(Scene begins on the map screen of a destroyed city. The Ra Cailum, the Oceanus, and Isola’s ship, the Dvaraka, are on the map. Isola’s ship is basically a green Oceanus.)

トーレス
「エヴァ2号機、
本艦艦首への配置が完了しました」
Torres: EVA Unit-02 is in position on the bow of the ship.

ミサト
「アスカ、今回も盾役をお願いね」
Misato: We’re counting on you to be our shield once again, Asuka.

アスカ
「わかってるわよ。
で、ゲートはいつ開かれるの?」
Asuka: I got this. So when’s the Gate going to open?

ミサト
「ハーザからの連絡は、まだないわね」
Misato: Haza hasn’t told us that yet.

アスカ
「私達が浜松へ行きたいってことも
伝えられないんなら、どこへ飛ばされるか
わかんないわね」
Asuka: You know if we can’t even tell her we want to go to Hamamatsu, there’s no telling where she’ll send us.

ミサト
「多少の誤差はあるでしょうけど、
行くべき所にゲートが開かれると思うわ」
Misato: It’s not always spot on, but the Gate should open close to where we need it to.

アスカ
「ホント、当てになるんだか、ならないんだか…」
Asuka: That’s not exactly reliable, but I guess we don’t really have a choice anyways...

ディド
「…ブライト艦長、ハーザの声が聞こえた。
もうすぐゲートが開かれる」
Dido: ...I’ve just heard Haza’s voice again, Captain Bright. She’ll be opening the Gate soon.

ブライト
「了解した。
各員、現状を維持しつつ、待機せよ」
Bright: Understood. All personnel, maintain position and standby.

イゾラ
「シマ司令、そしてブライト大佐。
今後の無事を祈る」
Isola: I wish you well from here on, Commander Shima. And Captain Bright as well.

シマ
「ありがとうございます、イゾラ司令」
Shima: I thank you for that, Commander Isola.

メイイェン
「私達がいない分、よろしくね」
May-Yen: Stay safe while we’re away.

ルーシェン
「こちらのことは心配するな」
Lu-Shen: And don’t worry about us either

キョウ
「おう、頼んだぜ」
Kyo: Yeah, I know we can count on you.

カミナギ
「あ、そうだ。お土産、何がいい?」
Kaminagi: Oh, right. What kind of souvenirs do you want us to bring back?

ルーシェン
「何?」
Lu-Shen: Come again?

シズノ
「これから異世界に行くっていうのに…
大したものね」
Shizuno: She’s still like this, even when we’re about to go to another world... It’s kind of impressive.

キョウ
「だいたい、俺達幻体向けの土産って何だよ?」
Kyo: Okay, first of all, what could you even bring back for us [Meta-Bodies]?

カミナギ
「ぶう。映画とか、音楽とか…。
見たり聞いたり出来る物ならあるでしょ」
Kaminagi: Oh, come on. Movies, music, stuff like that... Anything you can see or hear should be good, right?

クリス
「お前達が無事に帰還する…それが何よりの土産だ」
Chris: You guys just come back alive. ...That’s the best souvenir I could ask for.

ショウ
「そっちこそ、無理をするなよ」
Kyo: And you don’t do anything crazy, alright?

カミーユ
「みんなの無事を祈ってる」
Kamille: We’ll be praying for your safety.

クリス
「ああ、こちらもな」
Chris: Yeah, same here.

(The Gate appears.)

トーレス
「艦長、ゲートの発生を確認しました」
Torres: Captain, we’ve confirmed visual on the Gate.

ブライト
「よし、これよりゲートに突入する!」
Bright: Alright, prepare to breach!

(The Ra Cailum and the Oceanus fly into the Gate and the screen fades to white.)

トーレス
「艦長、本艦に引き続きオケアノスも
ゲートを突破しました」
Torres: The Oceanus has passed through the Gate after us, Captain.

ブライト
「現在位置は判明したか?」
Bright: Do we have a fix on our present location?

トーレス
「はい、日本の八丈島近辺です」
Torres: Yes sir, near Hachijojima, in Japan.

渓
「ラッキーだね。
ここからだと浜松までそんなに時間が掛からないし」
Kei: That’s pretty lucky. It won’t take us long to get to Hamamatsu from here.

ミサト
「本当に幸運かどうかは、まだわからないわね。
ハーザがこの場所にゲートを開いた以上、
日本かその近くで何かが起きる可能性が高いもの」
Misato: Whether it’s lucky or not remains to be seen. Since Haza opened the Gate here, there’s a good chance something’s going to go down in Japan.

渓
「そ、そうですね…」
Kei: Y-Yeah, good point.

ブライト
「ゲートの発生はヴァース帝国や[ベガ星連合軍]に
感知されているはずだ。総員第一戦闘配置のまま、
浜松へ向かうぞ」
Bright: The Vers Empire and the [Vegan Empire] probably noticed the Gate appearing. All hands will maintain current battle stations as we proceed towards Hamamatsu.


(Scene changes to a map screen of some islands. The Ra Cailum and the Oceanus are on the map.)


アスカ
「ミサト、浜松に着くまでの時間は?」
Asuka: How long will it take us to reach Hamamatsu, Misato?

ミサト
「30分ぐらいよ。
何かあるまでは、海でも眺めていて」
Misato: About 30 minutes. So long as nothing happens, you’re free to check out the sea along the way.

アスカ
「青い海は見慣れたけど、あの月はちょっとね」
Asuka: I’m pretty used to seeing a blue sea by now, but that moon is another story.

渓
「昼間の月でも、壊れてるのがわかるしね…」
Kei: You can tell the moon’s destroyed, even in the daytime...

ミサト
「この世界の地球の地形も、私達の世界と同じように
以前から変わってしまっているわ。
[ヘブンズ・フォール]のおかげでね」
Misato: The terrain of this world’s Earth has been changed heavily from what it once was, just like our own. Because of an incident known as [Heaven’s Fall].

アスカ
「それでも人が生きてるだけ
まだまし…」
Asuka: At least people are still alive here...

(The Ra Cailum detects something.)

トーレス
「高熱源体群、急速接近!
1時方向より真っ直ぐ!」
Torres: High energy heat sources, approaching rapidly! 1 o’clock!

(Vegan Empire mechs appear.)

トーレス
「データ照合!
ベガ星連合軍のミニフォーです!」
Torres: Comparing the data! They’re the Vegan Empire’s Mini-FOs!

ブライト
「各機、直ちに出撃せよ!」
Bright: Launch all units immediately!

(Banjo, Duke, and the player’s team deploy.)

万丈
「ヴァース帝国より先に食い付いてきたか」
Banjo: Looks like we got their attention before the Vers Empire.

デューク
「[円盤獣]がいない…おそらく、偵察部隊だ」
Duke: I don’t see any [Saucer Beasts]... It’s probably just a scouting party.

万丈
「そんな連中がこの辺りを彷徨いているのなら、
ヴァース帝国と彼らの戦闘は膠着しているのかも
知れないね」
Banjo: If they’re wondering around here, it could mean that their battle with the Vers Empire is at a stalemate.

デューク
「ともかく、奴らを蹴散らしましょう!」
Duke: Either way, let’s take these guys out!

(Battle 1 begins.)

(Battle 1 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

トーレス
「ミニフォーの全機撃墜を確認。
増援が現れる様子はなさそうです」
Torres: All Mini-FOs confirmed destroyed. There don’t appear to be any reinforcements.

ブライト
「この先にはヴァース帝国の軍勢がいるはずだ。
周辺を警戒しつつ、浜松へ向かうぞ」
Bright: There’s likely to be Vers Empire forces ahead. Keep a tight watch on the perimeter as we head towards Hamamatsu.


ザーツバルム揚陸城
Saazbaum Landing Castle


(Saazbaum is speaking with Cruhteo via transmission.)

ザーツバルム
「クルーテオ卿…
スレイン・トロイヤードの行方は判明したか?」
Saazbaum: Count Cruhteo... Have you located Slaine Troyard?

クルーテオ
「いや…
既に浜松から離れた可能性が高いと考えている」
Cruhteo: No... I expect he has already departed from Hamamatsu.

ザーツバルム
「では、もう一つ問おう。
こちらでは例の光球の出現を感知したが、
そちらはどうだ?」
Saazbaum: Then I’ve one more manner to inquire about. We have detected the appearance of yet another light sphere. Have you as well?

クルーテオ
「無論、気付いている。
所属不明の空中戦艦が2隻現れ、
そこに破嵐万丈の一味がいることもな」
Cruhteo: Of course. And from them have come two flying battleships of unknown affiliation, as well as Banjo Haran and his cohorts.

クルーテオ
「彼奴らは、単に消えたわけではなかったようだ。
見知らぬ手勢を引き連れ、舞い戻って来たのだからな」
Cruhteo: It would seem they did not merely disappear before. Now they have returned with a strange new force at their side.

ザーツバルム
「やはり、破嵐万丈らは抹殺せねばならぬ」
Saazbaum: As expected, we must eliminate Banjo Haran and his cooperators.

クルーテオ
「とは言え、まずは手勢の実力を推し量る。
ダイターン3ほどではないが、大型兵器を
多数所有しているようだからな」
Cruhteo: Yet we must first begin by gauging the measure of their fighting strength. While they are not to Daitarn 3’s scale, they possess a number of large weaponry.

ザーツバルム
「彼奴らを仕留めてから、調べれば良かろう?」
Saazbaum: Then you would prefer to monitor the prey before moving in for the kill?

クルーテオ
「いや…後々で我らが活用できる技術を
所有しているかも知れぬ。例えば、
例の光球を発生させる術だ」
Cruhteo: Not just that... They may have technology that would prove useful in our hands. Such as a device with the ability to generate those light spheres.

ザーツバルム
「あれが空間転移装置だとしても、精度は低かろう。
でなければ、貴公の揚陸城は今頃襲撃されていても
おかしくない」
Saazbaum: Even should they possesses an apparatus capable of teleportation, I hazard it is not very accurate. Otherwise, your Landing Castle would have been subject to assault before now.

クルーテオ
「ともかく、彼奴らが我が領域にいる内は
こちらで対処する」
Cruhteo: In any case, so long as they are in my domain, I will deal with them.

ザーツバルム
「スレインの捜索は、
トリルラン卿に任せてもらいたいものだな」
Saazbaum: Then I’d like you to leave the search for Slaine to Sir Trillram.

クルーテオ
「だが、ニロケラスはまだ修理中だ」
Cruhteo: Would that it be so, but the Nilokeras’s repairs are yet completed.

ザーツバルム
「………」
Saazbaum: ...

クルーテオ
「進展があれば、報告する。ではな」
Cruhteo: I shall report my progress at a later time. Until then.

(そう上手く事は運ばぬか…。
問題はアセイラム姫と破嵐万丈が
行動を共にしているかどうかだ)
Saazbaum: (I fear this matter will not proceed as smoothly as I had hoped... And the question yet remains if Princess Asseylum and Banjo Haran are indeed cooperating.)

ザーツバルム
(もし、あの二人が一緒であれば、
クルーテオ卿の手の者が彼奴らに接触した場合、
破嵐万丈はアセイラム姫の存在を明かすだろう…)
Saazbaum: (If those two are acting together, then Banjo Haran could very well reveal Princess Asseylum’s survival to whichever of Count Cruhteo’s subordinates come into contact with them.)

ザーツバルム
(あるいは、姫自身が名乗り出る可能性もある。
トリルランが動けぬのであれば、
またあの者を使うしかないか…)
Saazbaum: (Or the Princess could come forward herself. If Trillram is unable to take action, then I will have to rely on them yet again...)


(Scene changes to the map screen of islands from before. The players team and the battleships are deployed.)

「高熱源体群、急速接近!
0時方向より真っ直ぐ!」
Torres: High energy heat sources, approaching rapidly! Dead ahead!

(Aiais appear.)

ミサト
「多分、火星の軍勢でしょうね」
Misato: I take it these are Martian forces.

万丈
「ご名答。[メガノイド]の戦闘機、アイアイです」
Banjo: Correct. These are Aiais, [Meganoid] aircraft.

鉄也
「ふん、様子見というわけか」
Tetsuya: Hmph, I suppose they’re testing the waters.

万丈
「ま、この世界から消えた僕らが
未知の機体を引き連れて戻って来たわけだからね」
Banjo: Well, as far as they’re aware, we disappeared from this world and suddenly returned with an unknown force.

ヒイロ
「俺やアキトという前例もあるからな」
Heero: Akito and I set a precedent for them.

万丈
「ああ、彼らも警戒はするだろうさ」
Banjo: Right, which is why they’ll be cautious about us.

甲児
「だったら、ヴァースやメガノイドに
俺達の力を思い知らせてやるぜ!」
Koji: Then I say we show Vers and the Meganoids just what we can do!

(Battle 2 begins.)

(Battle 2 ends when all enemies are defeated.)

トーレス
「現戦域内の敵機、全て撃墜!」
Torres: All enemy units in the battlefield have been shot down!

ブライト
「葛城二佐、何名か浜松へ向かわせ、
わだつみに関する情報を集めてくれ。
人選は任せる」
Bright: Lieutenant Colonel Katsuragi, I’d like you to send some people to Hamamatsu and gather information on the Wadatsumi. You can decide who goes.

ミサト
「了解しました。
では、万丈君達に行ってもらいます」
Misato: Understood, sir. Then I’ll ask Banjo’s group to head there.


ラー・カイラムブリッジ

万丈
「浜松基地の近くに残っていた住民から
話を聞けました。わだつみは、呉へ向かったようです」
Banjo: We’ve heard from the civilians near Hamamatsu. It seems the Wadatsumi departed for Kure.

ブライト
「住民からの情報か…」
Bright: From civilians, you say...

アムロ
「確証は?」
Amuro: Did they have any proof?

ユキ
「わだつみへの物資搬入中、
何名かのクルーがそう言っていたのを
聞いたそうです」
Yuki: They heard the crew members say that while delivering supplies to the Wadatsumi.

ミサト
「行き先が呉なら、迂回するとしても
どこかに立ち寄る可能性は低そうね」
Misato: If their destination is Kure, then they likely didn’t stop for any detours.

弁慶
「呉にある基地が無事ならいいが、
そうでなければ目的地を変えるだろうな」
Benkei: If their base in Kure is still standing, then sure. But otherwise, they may have changed their destination mid-way.

渓
「それより、途中で敵に襲われたら…」
Kei: They could also have been attacked by enemies along the way...

万丈
「わだつみはこの状況下で
関東方面から浜松まで辿り着いているからね。
無事だと信じよう」
Banjo: The Wadatsumi was able to make it to Hamamatsu from the Kanto Region. I’m sure they’re still kicking.

ユキ
「ええ…」
Yuki: Right...

ブライト
「通信がままならぬ以上、
我々も西へ向かうしかあるまい」
Bright: Since sending a communication isn’t an option, we’ll have to make our way westward.

ミサト
「もう少し手掛かりがあればいいんですが…」
Misato: I just wish we had a little more to go on...

ブライト
「贅沢は言っていられんさ。
それに、こういう状況は何度か経験していてな。
動けば、道は開けるものだ」
Bright: We don’t have that luxury unfortunately. And besides, this isn’t my first time going through a situation like this. So long as we keep moving, we’ll find a way forward.

弁慶
「一年戦争の時、アムロ大尉がガンタンクで
飛び出して、ザクを数十機撃破し…
ホワイトベースの針路を切り開いたって話ですか」
Benkei: You must be talking about when Lieutenant Amuro rushed out in a Guntank, taking out scores of Zakus during the One Year War... They say he cut open path for the White Base then.

ブライト
「アムロが私の命令に逆らって、
ガンタンクで出たことがあるのは事実だが…」
Bright: Well, it is true that Amuro went against my orders and launched in a Guntank once before, but...

アムロ
「その話はよしてくれ、ブライト。
少佐も怪しい戦記物を鵜呑みにしないで下さい」
Amuro: Let’s just leave it at that, Bright. Major, I’d appreciate it if you didn’t buy into the more questionable war stories.

弁慶
「お、おう」
Benkei: R-Right...

ブライト
「ともかく、すぐに出立して

Heaven's Fall

Fragments of the moon fell to several locations on the Earth, resulting gravitational waves that caused the tectonic shifts, earthquakes, and tsunamis that brought about untold damage.
The cataclysmic disasters caused the world map to change and reduced half of the Earth's population.
