  1. Blueprint for a Safer Economy: Widespread (Purple) in Santa Clara County

  3. The State’s new “Blueprint for a Safer Economy” replaces the “County Data Monitoring List” and has new criteria for loosening and tightening restrictions on businesses and activities. The “Blueprint” describes a county’s risk level for COVID-19 and establishes four Tiers that determine which business sectors can operate and the guidelines for operation.

  5. The 4 tiers are:
  6. Purple (the risk level is widespread);
  7. Red (the risk level is substantial);
  8. Orange (the risk level is moderate);
  9. Or Yellow (the risk level is minimal)

  11. Based on the County of Santa Clara’s most recent COVID-19 data, the county is in the Purple Tier, which allows some businesses, such as hair salons and indoor shopping malls, to operate with certain modifications and in accordance with the County’s protocols.

  13. Sectors allowed to operate must follow the County’s protocols, which include:
  14. the Social Distancing Protocol
  15. And the Industry Directives from the July 2nd Order
