  3. Names: Ratchet and Clank (XJ-0461)
  4.
  5. Ages: Ratchet is 20 (aprox.), while Clank doesn't have a definitive age (due to being a robot) but in personality he is pretty much close to his friend's age.
  6.
  7. Genders: Male
  8.
  9. Appearances:
  10.
  11. Ratchet is a furred feline-like alien known as a Lombax, with green eyes, a bright yellow fur and with dark orange stripes across his long ears, as well as arms and tail. He is somewhat short and with a slender figure. Most of the time he is seen wearing his trademark brown pilot hat as well as a cooper colored shirt with dark green elements, a green and gold device on it chest (Nav-Unit) on the belt, and blue pants and brown boots. Otherwise he can be seeing wearing a battle armor when it comes to dangerous situations. He also carries Clank around in backpack-mode on his back.
  12.
  13. Clank is a small looking robot of a silver-painted metallic body with black details, as well as big green eyes (with metallic eye-lids) and a small red antenna on top of his head.

  18.
  19. Alignments: Neutral-Lawful Good
  20.
  21. Personalities:
  22.
  23. Ratchet is a street-wise, wrench-swinging guy who always likes to get into an adventure, even if sometimes he is not really thinking about the risks or odds. He can make some sarcastic comments or jokes and sometimes doesn't take things personally, but after maturing with his many adventures as a galactic hero, he has become a smarter and more humble person, always willing to help anybody in need of saving, no matter how difficult and dangerous the odds can be. Still, he can be aggressive towards people that have crossed him, harmed his friends or overall being evil, but he is also willing to forgive if the possibility of redemption is there.
  24.
  25. Also, like most of his kind, Ratchet has a big fascination and expertise when it comes to machinery. He likes to repair and build different gizmos and gadgets as well as a love for piloting across the universe.
  26.
  27. Clank often acts as Ratchet's voice of reason against Ratchet's brash personality. He is quite knowledgeable in a variety of subjects, which he never hesitates to show. However, due to being mostly "Book-smart", he has shown to be somewhat slower to realize certain things than Ratchet in certain scenarios, like certain customs, slangs or jokes, even if he has learned from Ratchet and his adventures somewhat. Also, he is quite fond to joke with one-liners or simple puns followed with his trademark "adorkable" laugh.
  28.
  29. He is also much more patient than Ratchet when it comes to certain situations, being the first to analyze before heading into action, as well. And just like his friend, he has a heart of gold when it comes to helping people and making friends and a great sense of justice, having the courage to face any villain who dares harm and cause havoc.
  30.
  31. Powers:
  32.
  33. Ratchet doesn't posses any natural powers. Only relying on his weaponry, gadgetry and mechanical expertise.
  34.
  35. Clank possesses two unique powers after his stay at the Great Clock. The first one is his resistant to time energy, thanks to the Quantum Actuator by (then)Junior Caretaker Sigmund, which means he is immune to things like time-stopping powers as well as maintaining his memories in any instance of time-travel. The second power would be his ability to utilize Time Bombs, devices which when thrown generates a field of quantum energy that makes anything inside or entering into the area of impact slow in time for a few minutes. However, due to the danger of quantum fields they can only be thrown one at a time (the first field immediately shutting off whenever a second bomb is launched) and any object or enemy that manages to touch outside of the field will be immediately back to its original speed.
  36.
  37. Abilities:
  38.
  39. Ratchet is a capable fighter, utilizing weapons and gadgets that allow him to traverse many environments, and defeat very large groups of enemies by himself. Ratchet can also evade enemy fire, often jumping, or back/side flipping out of the way.
  40.
  41. Ratchet, like most Lombaxes, is also handy with tools and technology, usually seen fixing a multitude of machines, most of all with his wrench, which he can use for different functions.
  42.
  43. In addition to his natural talents, Ratchet has received a training as a commando by Megacorp at the Bogon Galaxy, ranging from martial arts, to outdoor survival, to tactical combat and others, as well as gaining the rank of sergeant assisting the Galactic Rangers of the Solanna Galaxy against the Tyhrranoid invasion and the malevolent supervillain Dr. Nefarious's attack on the entire sector.
  44.
  45. Besides his vast intellect, Clank's possesses a variety of modes and functions to not only help himself around but to also aid Ratchet when he is on his back in Back-pack Mode. Still, he is able to defend himself when Ratchet is not around by the use of martial arts and spinning (his self-named Clank Fu) as well as using the blades of his Heli-pack mode as boomerangs and open a floating screen that can be used as a communication video-feed.
  46.
  47. Weapons:
  48.
  49. Along his many adventures, Ratchet has carried a vast and varied arsenal of weapons. From melee to high-powered to long range and anything in-between, he tends to always have a weapon for every possible need in the middle of combat. Some of them are even possible to be upgraded, though the need for it haven't happened lately.
  50.
  51. -OmniWrench: The OmniWrench Millennium 12 is Ratchet's closest tool and his main weapon when it comes to melee combat. Made from a substance known as Teratannium, it makes it light for it to swing around, but durable and resistant. It can also be used as a great tool outside the battlefield and Ratchet can also throw it around and will return like a boomerang to his hand.
  52.
  53. -Omniblaster: After loosing his Combuster in the battle against the returning Loki, Ratchet was quick to pick a new weapon. The Omniblaster is a rapid-fire weapon which shoots high-velocity proton blasts with great accuracy as well as possessing a high ammo capacity, making it one of his most useful and versatile weapons.
  54.
  55. Ratchet was able to obtain and upgrade a second Omniblaster for extra firepower.
  56.
  57. -Fusion Grenade: This GrummelNet grenade bomb glove allows to throw powerful explosives that, when impact, generate a powerful fiery blast damaging both the target and other enemies that are close to it.
  58.
  59. -Negotiator: The Negotiator is a GrummelNet rocket-launcher which, while slow and short of ammo, launches a powerful rocket forward that causes heavy damage. Great for big crowds of enemies or foes carrying powerful armor.
  60.
  61. -Buzz Blades: Originally engineered by a rogue gang of Kerchu carpenters and later on manufactured and sold across the galaxy, the Buzz Blades launches a series of fast and dangerous metal discs that can also ricochet on walls and hit multiple times.
  62.
  63. -Sonic Eruptor: This weapon is a combination between GrummelNet's mechanical and biological engineering. The gun itself is is attached to a genetically-mutated creature known as a xenogote, which when triggered unleashes its mating call: a powerful belching soundwave! Great for crowd control but a careful timing is required as its real power comes whenever the cheeks of the xenogote are mostly full.
  64.
  65. -Suck Cannon: The Suck Cannon was developed by the company Gadgetron and is able to suck up small debris or enemies inside with its vortex-technology. Once filled, it can launch everything it absorbed back as projectiles.
  66.
  67. Equipment:
  68.
  69. -Terachnoid Armor: Originally created by Terachnoid Sage Filgram Splendleforg as a means to resist galactic wedgies, which he himself was often the victim of, the technology of the Terachnoid armor has been made compatible with standard Polaris Defense Trooper armors by GrummelNet to upgrade them with increased defense and resistance against the elements in military and defense operations. The suit also connects to the user's Nav-Unit to display the information directly into the helmet's visor.
  70.
  71. Ratchet modified his armor so parts materialize automatically whenever a combat situation arises by his Nav-Unit, changing it from the standard Nebulox Armor looks (Pic) Into the full armor; As well, as to de-materialize into his casual Pilot Suit whenever needed.
  72.
  73. -Swingshot: The Swingshot is one of most trustworthy of Ratchet's gadgets, being used by him in more adventures that he can remember. It possesses a Teratannium hook that when launches to a target generates a holographic versa-chord, a wire of solid light energy, that allows Ratchet to swing over obstacles, to grapple towards areas and even be used on enemies.
  74.
  75. -Grind Boots: This function on ratchet's boots activate immediately whenever he makes contact with a rail or similar object. As it name implies, it allows Ratchet to grind and move along these structures.
  76.
  77. -O2 Mask: As its easily to guess, this mask allows Ratchet to breath underwater or in the vacuum of outer space, providing oxygen for him.
  78.
  79. -Hoverboots: A memento of Ratchet's father and handed to him by fellow-lombax and deceased Alister Azimuth, this Lombax-engineered boots uses zero-g pulse stabilizers and ion propulsion cells which allows him to move across areas at great speed, as well as let him glide short distances even when he is not utilizing Clank's Heli-Pack. The hoverboots, however, are not capable to elevate him higher and can be quite hard to break or avoid more sharp turns or obstacles.
  80.
  81. -Nav-Unit: This gadget located in Ratchet's belt and shirt is used to store and display different types of data, mostly for Navigation (like maps, schematics or area information) as well as a communication system across long distances. Ratchet has modify it to also activate a holo-materialization sequence to disappear or activate armor whenever is necessary.
  82.
  83. -Heli-Pack: In his Heli-Pack mode Clank sprouts helicopter blades that allows him (and Ratchet) to glide or elevate short distances, as well as lower the impact of falling for a safe landing.
  84.
  85. -Hydro-Pack: The Hydro-Pack mode allows him (and Ratchet) to move fast underwater by the use of his aquatic thrusters.
  86.
  87. Enlightenment: No.
  88.
  89. History:
  90.
  91. Ratchet grew up alone on the planet Veldin in the Solanna Galaxy, passing most of his time in his garage working in different inventions. Dreaming of great adventures across the cosmos, he spend most of his teenage years working on a spaceship that'd get him off world, but was sadly disappointed when he needed a robotic ignition system to start his ship. However, one day he noticed a falling star crossing the skies and crashing into a nearby plateau and, upon exploration of the debris, found an unconscious robot at the crater. Later, the diminutive robot explained (after startling the Lombax by suddenly waking up) his situation.
  92.
  93. Clank, as Ratchet later decided to call, was part of a production line of big and dangerous sentry-bots at the Robot Factory on planet Quartu who by (what back then believed to be) a mishap, ended up as a small, harmless robot. This series of robots were being built to assist the villainous leader of the Blarg race, Chairman Drek. But when the small robot took some video feed on his plants to destroy planet Novalis to pieces and add it chunks to his new planet for his species, built on the remains of other unfortunate places (and doomed to be used in the race's greedy industrialization and pollution like it happened to countless previous homes), he stole the information and escaped, hoping to find a galactic hero known as Captain Quark, for help. While at that moment, Ratchet and Clank weren't getting along as much, the two made a deal: Clank would help him ignite his ship to be space-worthy and Ratchet would take him to Captain Quark.
  94.
  95. The pair had several adventures together and generally started to get along well, until they met Captain Qwark at his base on planet Umbris. Ratchet felt that something wasn't quite right, but Clank was eager to trust the Captain. That's when Qwark then betrayed them, revealing he was working for Drek the entire time in order to start from zero and become the famous hero of the Blarg's new planet, and left them to be food for his pet: a monstrous Blargian Snagglebeast. The duo was able to defeat the beast, but Ratchet became increasingly bitter and hostile towards Clank for leading him right into a trap, and then obsessed with getting revenge on Qwark.
  96.
  97. However, after some more traveling and helping people out, the two were able to locate the Captain at a secluded moonbase and managed to defeat him. Ratchet realizes the error of his obsession and apologized to Clank for being mean towards him, the two solidifying a friendship that would last to this day. However, their mission was not over yet and soon got back to chase after Drek who had set sights on a new planet to blow up: Veldin.
  98.
  99. With their combined forced, the two were able to put an end to the Blarg Chairman's plans and sent him into a crashing course strait to his self-created planet, which made it explode into rubble after impact. With the galaxy now safe, Ratchet returned to his home, but now no longer alone with Clank at his side.
  100.
  101. The two settled down on Veldin for a while, their obtained fame as saviors of Solanna diminishing over time, as there was no need for heroes anymore. But this lead them to be asked for help on other parts of the universe, which lead them to be sent to the Bogon Galaxy where they received commando training by the technology manufacturer Megacorp to stop their rampaging failed experiment known as the Protopet from causing havoc across the entire sector, which turned out to be another ridiculous plan conjured by Quark to take his revenge on the duo and recover his lost reputation. Once the protopet was turned back into its original harmless state, the two settled on their new apartment at Bogon until, weeks later, Solanna asked for help once again.
  102.
  103. As it turns out, catastrophe fell upon the galaxy with the return of the malevolent mechanical mastermind known as Dr. Nefarious, who was believed to have been defeated long ago. Ratchet and Clank didn't think it twice before returning to the Solanna Galaxy and aid the Galactic Rangers against Nefarious' army, the race known as the Tyhrranoids (Ratchet even accidentally gaining the title or Sergeant by the helping the Rangers across different planet).
  104.
  105. They soon learned from the galactic president that in order to defeat Nefarious they'd need to find and acquire the help of none other than Captain Quark, who was the one who defeated the villainous doctor back on his prime. Sadly, things seemed to be even more complicated, as Nefarious revealed his master plan: the Biobliterator, a gigantic machine with the ability to turn any organic being into a robot.
  106.
  107. With the help of Quark's recently assembled "Q-force" (a ragtag group made out of old acquaintances of Ratchet and Clank) and with the Captain finally redeeming himself for his previous aggressions, the two heroes managed to destroy the Biobliterator and defeat Dr. Nefarious, who ended up stranded on a small wasted asteroid with his butler Lawrence, powerless to do anything as they drifted through the cosmos. And so years passed with the duo finally able to achieve some peace and quiet (excluding some small adventures here and there), yet unaware that something was going to eventually change their lives drastically.
  108.
  109. One day, while the two were working on a new hoverbike on the city of Metropolis, they received a transmission from Captain Quark as it seemed like a full-scale invasion was happening all over planet Kerwan by thousands of heavily armed robotic commandos. After being personally hunted down by the invaders, Ratchet met face to face with the leader of the invading forces, Emperor Percival Tachyon, who claimed that he was only interested in killing him. However, the Lombax then managed to escape along with Clank by using one of the Emperor's ships. Their runaway from Tachyon's troops lead them to the Polaris Galaxy, which they learned to be completely dominated by the shorty Emperor's iron fisted rule.
  110.
  111. As they ventured from planet to planet, Ratchet started to learn more about his race, the Lombaxes, as well as the reason for the Emperor's wrath that seemed targeted on him. Turns out, long ago, a great war happened between the Lombaxes and Tachyon's race, the Cragmites. At some unspecified point, the Cragmites simply vanished and led people to believe something called the "Lombax Secret" had vaporized them. Shortly after that, the Lombaxes had vanished themselves. The two heroes then arrived at planet Fastoon, the now-abandoned homeworld of the Lombaxes, where Ratchet then found and repaired an AI-powered spaceship by the name of Aphelion, while Clank started to gain visions and upgrades from a group of mysterious beings known as the Zoni, who only were visible to him (Ratchet just shrugging them off as something messing with the robot's head).
  112.
  113. Ratchet and Clank then proceeded to investigate a moon base in the Nundac Asteroid Ring where it was thought to have key information about the Secret. Inside the base, Ratchet met a girl named Talwyn Apogee and her two war bots Cronk and Zephyr who were surprised to see that Ratchet was indeed a Lombax. After some initial distrust involving a threat to jettison the duo out the airlock, Talwyn agreed to assist Ratchet in his travels to track down the Secret.
  114.
  115. On the planet Rykan V, the group found a room inside an old Lombax bunker that contained an old holo-vid player showing a video about the Lombax Secret: a device called the Dimensionator. They later learn that this hat-looking machine was created by the Lombaxes and was capable of ripping a hole in the fabric of time and space to open a portal into other dimensions, which Ratchet's race used to exile the Cragmites somewhere where they could harm no other innocent race, before they fled as well for unknown reasons. Ratchet then managed to find this device, after having an argument with Clank over the use of the Dimensionator and his constant mention of the invisible Zoni, it was taken away by the space pirate Captain Slag.
  116.
  117. After defeating Slag, Qwark then snatched the Dimensionator in an attempt to help (hoping to throw it into a black hole so no evil could take it), but was then captured by Tachyon, leaving the device in the Emperor's hands. Tachyon then used it to bring back his Cragmite brethren from their other-dimensional prison and then traveled to Fastoon to open more portals. The heroic duo was separated in the mayhem, ratchet thinking Clank had perished. After a tearful reunion the two regrouped with Talwyn & Co and chased Tachyon to Fastoon.
  118.
  119. After finding the Cragmite emperor, the diabolical tyrant revealed the mystery about the Lombaxes' disappearance: After Tachyon had risen to power and invaded the planet, the Lombaxes used the Dimensionator to flee and escape to another dimension. All of them went, except for two. Ratchet's father stayed behind to hide the device along with his then infant son. Shortly after sending Ratchet to Veldin, his father was killed by Tachyon. The villainous emperor then offered him one chance to leave the universe and join his race in the other dimension, but Ratchet refused, knowing that no one would be safe if he did. Enraged, Tachyon attacked Ratchet and Clank with everything he got, eventually damaging the Dimensionator and sending the three into a nexus between dimensions.
  120.
  121. As Tachyon was defeated, the Cragmite taunted Ratchet one last time, telling him that only he knew his true purpose in the universe (as well as his true name), before falling into a open rift, never to be heard from again. Quickly managing to repair the Dimensionator, the duo utilized it one last time to return to the Polaris Galaxy, glad to back safe and the galaxy finally at peace from the Cragmite menace. However, their celebration was short as the Zoni made their full presence in front of everyone and immediately teleported clank away, claiming it was time for the robot to learn the truth about himself.
  122.
  123. Devastated by the loss of his dear friend, Ratchet did everything in his power to track down anything about the Zoni in order to find Clank. His findings eventually lead him and Talwyn to the prate-infested planet of Merdegraw, where a strange machine known as the Obsidian Eye was located, which let anyone to make contact with the mysterious creatures. After another encounter with Captain Slag, as well as the ghostly manifestation of the pirate's old captain, Captain Darkwater, the furred hero was able to peek into the home of the Zoni. To his shock, however, it turned out that, while the Zoni were a benevolent race, Clank was damaged and in not a good mental state. To make things worse, the mysterious creatures had hired none other than Dr. Nefarious to help repair him, completely unaware of the doctor's diabolical intentions. Ratchet didn't have a moment to waste and soon followed the Obsidian Eye's coordinates to the lawless sector known as the Breegus System, at the edge of the Polaris Galaxy, with Quark's (unwanted) company.
  124.
  125. A year later, Clank woke up with his mental damage fixed, floating inside a tube as Dr. Nefarious scanned his data banks in search for something. After escaping the Doctor's clutches, the small robot found himself inside a gigantic complex, monitored by the Zoni. He then met Sigmund, a quite eccentric robot and Junior Caretaker of the Great Clock: A marvel of science and sorcery, engineered by the brightest Zoni in all of existence and constructed in the exact CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE! (Give or take fifty feet...)
  126.
  127. It was here where Clank learn about his true origin, and that the originally-thought mishap on Quartu's Robot Factory wasn't such a mistake after all. Turns out Orvus, the creator of the Great Clock, messed with one of the robots at the factory by adding the soul of a Zoni inside of it, making Clank pretty much his son. The little bot learning his role to become the Senior Caretaker of the Great Clock, as he had "inherited" the facility from Orvus.
  128.
  129. Meanwhile, Ratchet and Quark continued their search for their mechanical buddy when a powerful quantum wave (caused by Nefarious's attack inside the Clock) damaged Aphelion's system, making them crashland into the deep jungles of plant Quantos only to be saved by the strange sight of the lombax-made ship frozen in time, inches from the floor.
  130.
  131. After repairing Aphelion and helping a tribe of the Fongoid race against Nefarious' forces, Qwark directed Ratchet to Torren IV to locate the mysterious General Alister Azimuth, who turned out to be a Lombax just like him. After a quite rough meeting with the general, Alister recognized the face of his old friend Kaden's son and aided Ratchet in his quest across the sector.
  132.
  133. Meanwhile, Clank learned that Orvus and the Zoni built the Great Clock to keep the balance of time in working order after a small rip in the time-space continuum, caused by the improper use of time travel by the Fongoids that destroyed over eighty-three celestial entities. He was also warned by Orvus that the Clock should not be used as a time machine under any circumstances as it was built to keep time, not alter it. Later, the young robot was then informed of how to fix temporal distortions located on various planets with the use of Orvus' Chronoscepter, which also helped Ratchet in his adventures. Shortly afterwards, Clank secretly watched Sigmund viewing a message from Orvus, who apparently traveled to planet Zanifar to meet another scientist and would not be back until morning. As Orvus was nowhere to be seen and through observation of Sigmund's mournful warning to the recording, Clank knew something bad has happened to his father.
  134.
  135. Ratchet and Azimuth arrived on planet Lumos and began to search for another Obsidian Eye in order to communicate with the Great Clock. Part-way through their journey, Ratchet asked the General to stop and give him some straight answers about the Lombaxes, his father and why the General wasn't with them. Azimuth angrily replied that Ratchet asked too many questions and that his father wouldn't be like this. Ratchet argued that he was not his father and asked Azimuth again. The General then finally answered Ratchet and said it was because he had failed his race. Azimuth then told the tale of an "inventor" who approached the Lombaxes with ideas for technology that was light years ahead of their own, years after the conclusion of the Great War. Kaden warned Azimuth not to trust the inventor, but Azimuth thought otherwise and allowed the inventor access to all of the Lombax's technology and secrets. The inventor, revealed to actually be Emperor Tachyon, then used this to form his own army and attack their city on Fastoon.
  136.
  137. While the Lombaxes took refuge, Kaden refused and went back home to save Ratchet's mother from the soldiers. By the time he arrived, Tachyon's forces had already murdered her. Azimuth then said he was unsure of how long Kaden survived before being killed but claimed responsibility for his friend's death. He then explained to Ratchet that they could fix it together, using the Great Clock, promising the fuzzy hero that if he stuck with the General, he would get his family back.
  138.
  139. Ratchet and Azimuth eventually found the Obsidian Eye on Lumos and was able to make contact with Clank. The robot was surprised that Ratchet had found him and asked about who Azimuth was. Ratchet was unable to explain fully as the signal started to decrease in strength. Before the message cut out, Clank pleaded Ratchet to travel to Zanifar to help his father and told him to look for a time portal. He then asked Sigmund to synthesize a time portal on Zanifar for Ratchet to use. Ratchet followed the coordinates to the freezing planet and jumped into the portal, reappearing two years into the past. He then learned that Nefarious and Lawrence crashed their asteroid on the planet long after the destruction of his Biobliterator, learning about the Great Clock, brainwashing the Fongoids inhabiting the planet to build him an outpost and then managing to capture Orvus and torture him to reveal the Clock's locations. Unfortunately from Ratchet, he was not able to stop the mechanical supervillain and Orvus vanished in a blast of energy, sacrificing himself so the Clock's whereabouts were never able to be located by the evil doctor. Before fleeing, Ratchet attacked Nefarious with a bomb and left his with a scar that would eventually track him to the present.
  140.
  141. Back at the Great Clock, Clank then traveled to the Orvus Chamber, the master control room of the entire facility, with Sigmund and proceeded inside. However, the heartwarming recorded message of Orvus was abruptly interrupted by Lawrence, who was hiding and following Clank inside the Clock by Nefarious' orders, who immobilized the two robot with a EP grenade. With the chamber open, Nefarious no longer needed Clank for his plans, sending him to Vapedia to be executed. Ratchet and Azimuth headed towards the planet to help Clank, unaware that the distress call had been faked by Nefarious. After defeating the robotic Valkyries and almost falling down tall heights, the two heroes were finally reunited once again.
  142.
  143. Clank forgave Ratchet for him not being able to help Orvus and swore to make Nefarious pay. Even though Azimuth said he could have the support of the Lombax Praetorian Guard once the past was changed, Clank explained that using the Clock improperly was too great a risk for the universe, despite the General's solid reasoning. After realizing that the risks involved were not worth taking, Ratchet agreed with Clank much to Azimuth's anger and disappointment. The General then left them as Ratchet and Clank left together to stop Nefarious.
  144.
  145. The duo traveled to Nefarious's main base of operations, a gigantic space station, to stop his plans. However, their attempt to sneak aboard using Qwark's disguise as "Nurse Shannon" failed and the three of them were captured by the doctor and his guards. Nefarious then explained his plan to use the Clock so that he could undo his defeat at the hands of our heroes and create winning streak in the present time where every villain could succeed and heroes would always lose. He then sent Ratchet and Clank flying to the swamp ruins of Gimlick Valley on planet Morklon attached to an asteroid (which Nefarious created if he ever needed an "super-ironic death scenario") as he prepared his fleet to invade the Great Clock.
  146.
  147. The Zoni were able to aid the two and they eventually traveled to the station and engaged the Doctor in combat. After a long confrontation ending on the top of one of Nefarious's ships, Nefarious suddenly froze and collapsed after receiving too much damage from the duo. Before they had a chance to escape, however, Lawrence took the escape pod, leaving Ratchet and Clank on a collision course with the base. Ratchet was ready to say his goodbyes when Azimuth appeared in his ship and shouted for Ratchet to jump on. The duo did so as Nefarious' base exploded.
  148.
  149. Ratchet, Clank and Alister arrived back on the Great Clock. Clank then explained that it was his duty to stay and protect the clock, which Ratchet understood and the two gave a heartwarming hug of goodbye. However the tender moment was soon stopped, when Azimuth shouted for his reward, so he could revert time and fix his mistake. When Ratchet and Clank refused, the General was enraged and in a act of fury launched a powerful blast of energy that mortally wounded Ratchet. Blinded by his rage, Azimuth then attacked Clank and started to head towards the Orvus Chamber. The robot gave chase to the General and managed to seal the chamber before Azimuth could get inside.
  150.
  151. Clank approached the center of the Orvus Chamber, where the switch for the flow of time stood. He began to remember the words of Ratchet, Orvus and Sigmund, before concluding (with some hint from certain plumber) That he could risk turning back 6 minutes without causing any disruption in time. By moving the man switch he was able to rewind back to the point before Ratchet was killed, and pushed his friend out of the way. With Ratchet now alive the two chased Azimuth into the Orvus Chamber and engaged in combat.
  152.
  153. The General managed to forcefully pull the main switch and create a massive time shift to save the Lombaxes, but the Clock could not take the strain and began to break apart. Realizing the error of his ways, Azimuth made the ultimate sacrifice and repaired the main switch as a powerful quantum explosion hit him, killing him in the process. While the universe was now safe, the other remaining Lombax in it was now gone.
  154.
  155. Sometime later, once the Zoni were able to repair all the damage to the Clock, Ratchet and Clank said their goodbyes as the furred hero walked back to his ship. Clank stood in silence for a moment, questioning his choice and eventually realizing that, while this was his destiny, he couldn't leave ratchet as he was just as much his family as Orvus was, and hoped his father would understand his decision. Naming Sigmund the new Senior Caretaker and handing over the Chronoscepter to him, he rushed back to Ratchet and hopped into his ship before he could leave. the duo reunited once more as the flew towards new adventure.
  156.
  157. Time passed, and the two had many adventures across the Polaris Galaxy. Whatever were crazy planet-stealing maniacs, robotic monster collectors or Grungarian mercenary assaults. The duo faced every challenge with no problem.
  158.
  159. One day, they received a transmission from Talwyn. She explained that a series of comet sightings have been reported all across the galaxy, made out from a substance unknown to even some of the brightest scientists in the universe. with no real origin for this celestial bodies, it was up to Ratchet and Clank to investigate this mysterious anomaly, unaware that this would lead them to what could possibly be their greatest adventure yet. As they investigate the situation they found themselves flying straight into one of the fissures in space where the meteors of what they'd later learn to be Gummi Blocks came from, transported out of their known sector of space. This lead them to a world known as Olympus Coliseum.
  160.
  161. It was here where, while looking for help and a explanation, met a gal by the name of Xelha who, alongside a robot known as Proto Man, were participating into the games. After a successful match, the duo heard the young girl's plead; Apparently, she and her boyfriend Kalas had been separated when they were flung off their homes. Ratchet, being his kind and heroic self, assured her alongside Clank that they'd do their best to find him.
  162.
  163. Their next destination ended up being Radiant Garden, where they found the wreckage of an advanced ship containing the AI Kira; who after introducing herself and explain the concepts of the Great Convergence in better detail, joined with the two in order to find her operator; A woman known as Azumi Ian. It was in the same place where they also learned of the powerful communication systems that the computer systems within the castle possessed, which'd be enough to call back upon Polaris and tell their friends what happened.
  164.
  165. Along the way they met up with a horde of Heartless. With the help of more newcomers like Sora and the amazing Spider Man, the dark creatures were easily defeated and the two heroes were able to access into Space Paranoids. Things became really dangerous when they met a man known as Ignis Fatuus, who was using the vast database of the Dataescape to track down a girl by the name of Audrey. with the help of Kira, they were able to throw him out of the system and Ratchet was able to communicate back to the Apogee space Station and explain their situation.
  166.
  167. After that their adventures across the worlds continued, meeting new allies like Iron Man and Batman and fighting familiar and new foes like the Agorians, the Thyrranoids and the evil parasite Starro. It was among those adventures where they passed the custody of Kira to the caped crusader, as he had ties with Azumi Ian and would be able to track her down easier.
  168.
  169. Eventually, the duo ended up in Wonderland and meet up with Xelha once more. However, the reunion was short lived as, due to a ridiculous mishap with the Queen of Hearts, they were forced to run away and split up; Ratchet diverting the attention of the card soldiers while Xelha and Clank escaped somewhere safe. In his resistance, the Lombax ended up crossing path with Kalas. While the two initially didn't hit it off well, they eventually learned from eachother and became good friends. after so more hardships, the four were sent to execution, but thanks to Clank's quick thinking, managed to escape and literally flood the Queen away. With the day saved and the lovers reunited, the duo headed back to the Aphelion to continue their journey and find some down time.
  170.
  171. Sadly, lady luck was a cruel mistress as the arrival of a shady meteor caused huge problems at the Land of Dragons. reuniting with not only Kalas and Xelha, but also Talwyn, Cronk and Zephyr, the group headed to the summit to find the root of the problem; Alongside a mysterious boy by the name of TJ and the Kamen Rider kid Scott. thanks to Talwyn's briefing and what they later found out, this was the work of a devious space criminal known as Relmak Lurgg who, alongside his Blargg mercenaries, were capturing animals and powerful Heartless for nefarious experiments, alongside the citizens of nearby village to work as workforce.
  172.
  173. Perusing into the cave the heroes found out that this whole plan lead to something very familiar for the Lombax and robot, far more sinister. The fallen meteorite turned out to be a planet shard from Toranux, containing the spectral demons known as the Loki. It turned out that one of the fiends was possessing Relmak's pet parrot all along, pushing him to find worthy vessels for him and his kind in order to cause chaos across the universe. However, with their combined might, the group managed to put a stop to their plans and vanquish the Loki for good.
  174.
  175. As of now, Ratchet & Clank continue to travel the cosmos in search for new adventures. Ready to help any world who needs the assistance of two brave heroes with mighty weaponry....
  176.
  177. Sample Post:
  178.
  179. ...Space. The final frontier...
  180.
  181. Huge. So huge, in fact , that if you lost your car keys in it, they'd be almost impossible to find.
  182.
  183. Across this massive cosmos, a spaceship flew at high speed. Painted in red and gold, the Aphelion continued her route across the Polaris Galaxy. Planets, asteroids and constellations just left behind as the course was set towards adventure.
  184.
  185. "Are you sure this is the right way. Ratchet?"
  186.
  187. At the ship's controls sat the yellow-furred Lombax, the galactic hero Ratchet. He looked to his right as he spoke with his inseparable companion, the small yet-courageous robot Clank, riding on the seat next to him (made a bit too him for the little guy). "Don't worry, Clank. I'm just getting a shortcut. We'll be reaching the Breegus Sector in no time." the feline alien spoke in his usual carefree attitude.
  188.
  189. While a bit unsure, Clank fully trusted his friend's capable piloting skills, as venturing through the vastness of space was just their everyday routine at this point. His mechanical green eyes then focused towards the screen located on the ship's panel. A small beeping green dot indicating a message.
  190.
  191. "Incoming message, seems its marked as "urgent"..." Clank informed, making Ratchet just roll his eyes and sigh, "Take a look. It better not be Quark again. I told him like three times already to stop using emergency message channel just to ask how to set his Spaceflix account..."
  192.
  193. Clank scooted towards the screen and pressed on the bleeping symbol, opening a written message. "Its from Talwyn. Seems there has been another sighting of an unscheduled meteor shower. This time on planet Aquatos."
  194.
  195. "All the way over Solanna? Man, now I'm really not getting this. Meteor showers start appear straight out of nowhere, it doesn't make sense!"
  196.
  197. "I do agree this is most intriguing" replied the small bot.
  198.
  199. "I have to admit, whatever stuff those meteorites are made of, they ain't half bad to use. Aphelion, how's the new armor alloy working? What about the Warp unit?"
  200.
  201. The Aphelion's programmed AI responded with her feminine computerized voice, in a quite excited manner. "All exterior defenses seem to be working at top percentage. And the Gravimetric Warp Drive is functioning with just as half of the normal energy required. Never have I felt better."
  202.
  203. "See? I told you this'd work out" Ratchet smirked proud at his handiwork. Clank just shacked his head. "I do remind you this was your fifth attempt at using this unknown substance to upgrade the ship. We were lucky the situation didn't turn out like in attempt no. 3..."
  204.
  205. "Oh come on." The lombax exclaimed, "How was I suppose to know the meteorite's material wouldn't be compatible with Blargian transmission versa-fuses?....Besides, nobody was using that water fountain anyways...or that billboard...or that apartment building..."
  206.
  207. Their reminiscing of failed trials and errors was quickly interrupted when Aphelion spoke. "Alert! Incoming hazards up ahead. Abnormal energy-readings detected"
  208.
  209. "What? Woah!!!"
  210.
  211. Suddenly a series of bodies of light started to charge at the ship. Big meteors of a shiny and colorful substance suddenly manifesting from the nothingness, some even hitting parts of the ship a they propelled forward and unstopped.
  212.
  213. "Ratchet watch out!!"
  214.
  215. "Aphelion, keep the shields at maximum power. I'll try evasive maneuvers. Hold on tight, Clank!!" Ratchet shout as his grip got tighter on the controls. With a move of the wheel and a hard press on the thrusters, the Aphelion moved from side to side avoiding all the incoming meteors. Some dodged by a close shave while others actually hitting on Aphelion's shield defenses, and our heroes holding on like if their lives depended on it (because they kinda did) and hoping this swarm of unknown shards soon ceased.
  216.
  217. "There's no end to this things?! Dammit, I don't know if the shield's can't take more of this!"
  218.
  219. "Ratchet, look!" Clank pointed forward. A mysterious crack in the middle of space lied ahead. Its strange blueish glow looking as inviting as it seemed dangerous. "The high-energy readings seem to be mostly coming from there. This must be connected with the source of the anomaly!"
  220.
  221. "Alright. We have no choice then. We'll have to jump there and see what lies on the other side. You're ready pal?" Ratchet spoke as he looked at Clank directly. His robotic companion nodding in an instant.
  222.
  223. One last press into the thrusters pushed the Aphelion past the meteor shower and right into the rift. After devoured, the vortex closed in a a final flash of light, leaving the duo to their fate.
  224.
  225. However, this wasn't the end of the story for our heroes, but just the mere beginning...
