  1. STRAY SHOT, TEA TIME, AND MICHES HUNT;
  2.
  3. [Stray Shot's Inventory: Saddlebags, Repeating Crossbow, 5 Loaded Repeating Crossbow Magazines, Loose Bolts, Rope, Flint & Steel, Rubber Boots, Bandages, Headlamp, Water Canteen, Camoflauge Shirt]
  4.
  5. [Tea's Inventory: Saddlebags, A crossbow, chest-mounted holster with 20 bolts, wyvern-fang dagger, crystal focus (imbues magic with crystalline effects/minor bonus to piercing with offensive spells), Flint and Steel, rubber boots, padded tunic, canteen with water, bandages, a blank notebook, pencil]
  6.
  7. As you approach the northern Tennant fields, they see a grand, well built stand outside its ramshackle walls, a fancy sign reading “HUNTING TOURNEY SIGNUPS HERE”, with two griffons idling behind it.
  8.
  9. Stray Shot had just clocked out for his lunch break, though he suspected he might not be clocking back in for the rest of the day. He trots from the Embassy through the townsquare. He was late on the hunting tournament he had been meaning to become a part of. He felt like maybe it would do his mind some good to just get out in the wilderness and hunt, to connect with nature. The stallion, equipped with his repeating crossbow and wearing his camouflage shirt, approaches the stand manned by the griffons. "Uh... is this tournament still goin' on?" The pegasus asks the bored-looking griffons.
  10.
  11. One of the griffons quickly gets up, leaning over the stand with a weary but kind smile.
  12. “huh? Oh, yeah, Signups just about to end, made it just in time man!” he says.
  13.
  14. Stray Shot rushes to sign himself up on the sheet, putting the pen down with a smile to the griffon. "I'm lookin' forward more to just gettin' out and huntin', but if I win that'll just make it even better~"
  15.
  16. Mich lands with practiced ease in front of the stand, In his claws are is his hunting spear and his dagger is on his side "We killing things for fun here?, oh, hey stray."
  17.
  18. “Er, one way to put it....”the griffon says, handing Mich a sheet, which asked for standard info such as Name, address, age, race, coloring, if your in a team and with who, please sign here to aknowledge the Hunting Guild isnt responsible for any injuries, maiming, or death....
  19.
  20. Stray Shot gives a little smile and wave to Mich. He discreetly eyed the birb carefully. Stray didn't think that Mich was still homicidal towards him, but then again, a hunting accident would be the perfect stage... Shoving the thought aside, he signs the waiver without a second of hesitation.
  21.
  22. The brown mare was packed up and ready for what she's been signing up for, wearing a pair of rubber boots, a light, padded tunic and other accessories hanging off herself... Normally Tea wouldn't meddle in too much o' risky things, prefering in her eyes a more structured and utilitarian approach of venturing into places she'd be able to scavenge goods or learn about mysteries of the lands... but lately? She felt a linger feeling of frustration penting up in her: from her day-to-day dealings with odd ponies, to taking unnecesary risks in critical situations -- there was a lot that the mare had to repress... by doing exactly what she tried to avoid. Granted the seemingly poor habit of dealing with things wasn't driven entirely by the obsession, as yesterday, when she stormed back to the river for a dip, she heard a conversation between strangers about some sort of a... competition? A tournament? Weird... but they spoke of promises o' riches in a wild hunt? Peachy! A shift, a couple of questions, drinks and a night's worth of sleep later -- the mare was here. Stepping outside the safety of the town's walls into the unknown... and Tennant fields.
  23.
  24. On top of her usual accessories, the determined mare seemed to pack a crystalline fang-of-a-dagger in her holster, a crossbow 'round her neck and an odd looking tri-gem'd ring around her horn -- granted the last bit was sitting snuggly 'round the base of it, concealed by the weavin' chocolate mane.
  25.
  26. “Oh? Another participant?” the griffon says, spotting Tea, and quickly getting out another form.
  27. “I should warn you guys, this ends tonight, gonna be a pickle to get something by your lonesome I feel....”
  28.
  29. Stray Shot turns to see who the griffon was addressing, slightly surprised to see Tea Time approaching. He averts her gaze, seeing her reminding him of what he did yesterday, and how she split from the group. Before he can go down that train of thought further, however, he looks to the griffon again with a quizative expression. "What do you mean by that?"
  30.
  31. stomps her way forth to the griffon with a form, spottin' oh-so-familiar Stray... and an distantly familiar birb? "Oh. 'f course...", she blurts out a bit, seeing Stray as her golden glow lifting the piece of paper, "'f course y'll be 'ere.", she shakes her head with a tsk and switches her gaze to the griffon, "By your lonesome? What'cha mean b'that--?", and takes a look over the form, "... mind t'give a quick 'round down 'bout t'whole thing, sir? 's there somethin' in particular I gotta hunt or...?"
  32.
  33. "sounds like the big bad ones are out tonight, and there aren't as many hunters to scare them off." He ponders.
  34.
  35. “Oh, well, we already have quite some impressive hunts to be judged! With less then a day, I just felt it was fair to warn you catching Game able to compete with some of these kills alone would be difficult!” He shrugs, “But hey, the fun is in the hunt no? Dont let me stop you from trying, you never know, right?”
  36.
  37. He turns to Tea, “Nope! Only real limit is nothing sentient, and to follow the three simple rules! First, you cannot interrupt another hunters Hunt. Second, only one Game may be turned in per team. Third, have fun and be careful!”
  38.
  39. Stray Shot glances out towards the thick jungle near them, thinking to himself about the practicality of hunting by himself. "So what, should we team up, or something?" Stray asks in a flat tone.
  40.
  41. hrms at the griffon, and then at the form she was holding, "What of, like, a golem or somethin' magical like that?", she lifts her eyes from the pages again, "Or, like, a huge snake?", the mare asks the question and casts side glances between Mich 'n Stray... especially Stray, when she considered a certain large "Uhhh...", she adds, attention switching to the griffon, "-- how 'big' exactly can t'thing be, by t'way?" serpent they've met almost a month ago.
  42.
  43. Stray Shot glances at Tea as she mentions a giant snake, his mind's eye seeing the image of the tied-up giant snake monster they had subdued a few weeks ago. He sideglances again to the nearby jungle, briefly wondering to himself if it was a good idea to be going out and confronting such creatures in the night.
  44.
  45. "Makes sense to me." finishes the form and draws a smiley face on the back "you guys find the midgar serpent or something? " he says to the ponies
  46.
  47. “Big as you can get! We had a guy bring back a big ol hulking thing, nearly as big as a two story house!” He turns to Stray. “I mean, teaming up is never a bad idea, but we have had successful lone hunters. Well, some at least.”
  48.
  49. H coughs “Big doesn't necessarily mean a higher score overall though, but it is one of the criteria we judge for.”
  50.
  51. blinks, mumbling, "... a t-two story h-house?", only to blink again with a, "Whaaaaaa--?"
  52.
  53. “Yup! Quite the kill, though not as impressive as you think. Big ol slow slug creature. Quite a rare thing too, but far from a perfect score!”
  54.
  55. Tea Time-Today at 3:20 PM
  56. quirks her brow, and snorts, "Ya can't be serious... 's this one of the OH I've caught a fish 'thiiiiiiis' big Bobbers?!'"
  57. Stray Shot-Today at 3:21 PM
  58. Stray Shot's eyes widen. His first reaction, hearing that, was to think the griffon was bullshitting, but he supposed that was more than possible with the types of creatures that lurked in the jungle. "We'll find out at the end of the tournament, right? We're gonna actually get to see these things?"
  59.
  60. “Well, we have a showcase of the kills setup outside of town, hardly can miss some of those beasts...” He shrugs, and looks up at the sun. “But regardless, if I were you three, id decide now what you want to do, because time IS short now for this....”
  61.
  62. "We'd better get moving, then," Stray says as he looks to Mich and Tea.
  63.
  64. sighs and scratches the back of her heck, "Well... frankly these aren't m'usual gigs. Wasn't sure 'bout t'whole vietnamin' 'round swamps while on hooves-- m'specially at t'time like this.", she looks up at the darkening skies and then at others, "Teamin' up makes sense I'spose.. 'n by t'by, anypony's been huntin' fir things before, here?"
  65.
  66. “OH! Before I forget!” the Griffon chirps up, “We offer a free hunting spear and two javelins to each contestant, err, if you want them?”
  67.
  68. Stray Shot shifts the slung crossbow over his shoulder, talking to Tea, but keeping his eyes focused in the sky, for some reason. "I hunted some gator with Cur-" Stray Shot cuts off midsentence, suddenly remembering Gabriel. His ears fold back slightly as he corrects his sentence, "I hunted some alligator with a friend here, once."
  69. Stray shakes his head at the griffon, smiling politely at him. "Never been much of a spear guy myself. Thanks, though."
  70.
  71. thinks of spears - then looks at herself - then looks a the griff and sniffs with a smirk "M'suuure, sure! If ya have fun sizes fir midgets -- I'm in~!", she snarks with a giggle and with a flick of her magical aura, pulls out a pencil from her saddlebag and quickly writes things down into the form, "But yee - sticks 'n stones are not m'game."
  72. "I'll take another spear, I've broken a spear off in something before " That hunting trip with Homily cost him a spear last time.
  73.
  74. "'least fir this game...", she adds with a mumble while finishing the form and passing it back.
  75.
  76. Taking the forum, he digs in the back and gets the requested gear. “afraid its all 'standard sized' little lady...” He says with a shrug.
  77.
  78. Stray Shot takes a couple of steps towards the nearest patch of jungle, lowering his neck and squinting his eyes, as if to peek inside of it. "Ready when y'all are."
  79.
  80. polished enough spears 'round the shop to know the dreadful assortment. With pencil back in her bags and the crossbow checked out, she'd go forth to join others at the edge of the jungles, "Soooo... you, I def knuw--", she looks at Stray, only for her gaze to drift to Mich, "-- you tho- 'swear I've seen ya somewhere, palley."
  81. "Name's Tea Time.", she smiles and stretches her hoovsie to griff.
  82. holds back the cringe from how thick her accent is "The name's mich, I'm usually flying somewhere so you've probably seen me in the air .”
  83.
  84. Stray Shot stands near the edge of the group, still facing the jungle. He sits on his haunches, patiently waiting for Zeeke Mich and Tea. He pulls out his water canteen, taking a few gulps and putting it back.
  85.
  86. "Flyin' huh...", she mumbles and instead of offerin' that hoof just... moves it back for a neck scratch... she could'a sworn she seen the griffon... wait--" Oh... oooooh, ya were t'one with t'whole offerin' Dee 'n me those flight lessons!"
  87.
  88. "Should we head north? It gets more swampy up there."
  89.
  90. giggles a bit, but-- t'was indeed getting dark and they needed to tackle the issue as fast as possible. With her gaze switchin' to Stary, and mellowness fading away, "-- mmm'think so? Don't think there's much t'find at t'coasts anyway."
  91. pulls her crossbow off the strap again and rechecks it, "Jus' gotta watch of fir 'em wisps 'n darn leeches."
  92.
  93. Stray Shot nods, looking back to the unicorn and griffon with a smirk. "Heh, well let's hope we bring back somethin' more impressive than a leech. We ready, then?"
  94.
  95. "lead the way trigger"
  96.
  97. Tea Time - Today at 3:54 PM
  98. "Woulda bath-loads o' mashed leeches count as-a-one goo moster?", she giggles and nods, "Ready~!"
  99.
  100. As the group heads deep into the northern swamp, they feel the humidity of the area grow thick with the late of the day.
  101. [Roll d20 for perception]
  102. Stray, 4
  103. Tea, 12
  104. Mich, 13
  105.
  106.
  107. Stray is just too darn happy to be out of the crowded town to notice anything other than the beauty of nature.
  108.
  109. While Stray was distracted by the lovely jungle around him, Tea catches glimpse of something big slumping into the shallow a bit away from them as they near the river.
  110.
  111. Mich however catches sight of a set of four close knit eyes watching them across the river, before the glowing things turn and dart off.
  112.
  113. The mare's ears perk, eyes going wild 'n wide at... something?! Trotting 'round swamps during such a dark hour wasn't the pleasantmost thing... especially with the things that the mare've seen before. As such, her voice would crack to a whisper, "G-Guys? Think there's somethin' big 'n close by t'river...", she points her hoof in the direction she've seen the slumpering!
  114.
  115. Mich turns to the river with one of his spears drawn "Looks like we've got shenanigans already."
  116.
  117. Stray Shot perks up and looks to Tea, instinctively drawing his crossbow and slinging it around his neck. He looks in the direction Tea pointed, squinting his eyes to see.
  118. Stray Shot crouches to just above the ground and begins creeping closer, trying to take as much concealment as he can.
  119.
  120. The golden glow around mare's horn would concentrate closer to the core, ears perked up and eyes attentively watching Stray -- keeping her guards up 'n magic ready to react just in case something goes awry.
  121.
  122. [Stray, roll for Stealth, d20, 5+ pass, 9+ success]
  123. Stray,2
  124.
  125. Stray misteps, and in a single moment worthy of going down in history, trips, his bag hitting a rock with a loud CLUNK as he accidentally fires off his crossbow, the bolt zooming off into the woods with a ZIIIP.
  126.
  127. Suddenly the water infront of him EXPLODES as a massive, chubby and warty looking frogator nearly as big as a truck is suddenly turning towards him, mouth open wide!
  128.
  129. Tea's eyes turn into pins and a loud eep breaks her silence! Ready and prepared tho, the mare'd try to beam the beast with a crystalline shard!
  130.
  131. Stray Shot-Today at 4:16 PM
  132. Stray Shot jolts backwards after he performs the most historic negligent discharge ever, first looking at the water pluming up, and then looking up at the giant frogator bursts out and opens it's maw at him, "AAHHH!" He yelps as he turns around and jumps into the air, flapping his wings to attempt to gain some altitude and get out of the reach of the monster as soon as possible. His heart is nearly beating out of his chest, suddenly realizing that he was no longer at the top of the food chain.
  133.
  134.
  135. "I fuckin' knew It! The griffon lunges to pull stray out of the way, but not before thrusting his spear towards the beast's open mouth.
  136.
  137. [Tea, roll a d20, +2 for skill and item, 7+ pass, 14+ success]
  138. [Stray, roll a d20, +1 for skill, 8+ pass, 16+ success, 3- crit fail]
  139. [Mich, roll a D12 to aid Stray, 6+ pass, 10+ success, 1- crit fail]
  140. [Mich, if success of first roll, d20 for attack, 5+ pass, 17+ success, 4- crit fail]
  141. Tea,7-pass
  142. Stray, 8-pass
  143. Mich 1st,4-fail
  144. Mich 2nd,no roll
  145.
  146. Stray quickly flaps to safety, though for one second he feels his tail get tugged, and looking back notices he got a free haircut out of the deal!
  147.
  148. Meanwhile Mich is too late to help Stray, but just in time to see Tea fire off a burst of magic, though her aims a bit off it still grazes the creature, a growl coming from it as it bleeds a streak of green.
  149.
  150. Angry, it turns and starts charging out of the river at Tea!
  151.
  152. Stray Shot yelps as he feels something tugging his tail, making him flap even faster. He looks behind him to see that he successfully broke contact with the frogator, but that his long tail was now snipped! The stallion goes to land behind the monster as it charged at Tea, his heart gripping at the sight of the frogator going after the tiny mare. "HEY! FUCKFACE!" Stray yells, trying to distract it from chasing Tea as he shoulders his crossbow and shoots at the monster in the upper body area.
  153.
  154. Perhaps shooting the thing wasn't the best of choices for the moment... but at least she was sliiightly farther away that Stray.... Shootin' a panicky glance up at the pega, she considers what he managed to do a day ago-- carrying her on his back - something that could'a provided a leverage over the ground based beast while keeping herself farther off from... though riding the brawny griffon might have been a safer bet? "Straaay!! C-Can ya-- EEK!--", the small mare exclaims, noticing the angered beast, "Guys! M-Maybe a lift--!?", ah but they were already busy trying to divert the attention away from her. The mare begins to backtrack, if not skitter the hell away -- contemplating using a bright flash to disorient the beast if was possible.
  155.
  156. Mich flies after the mare to give her a lift,. "Turn your light out if you don't want to blind me!" he shouts."
  157.
  158. Mich had a point... flashing light in the darkness without warnings could'a blinded them too! Tea nods and if she'd get lifted, woulda tried to shoot another spike at the enraged thing!
  159.
  160. The beast seems to utterly not care about Strays yelling.
  161. [Stray, d20 to fire, 6+ pass, 12+ success]
  162. [Tea, d20 to dodge, 7+ pass, 14+ success, 3- crit fail]
  163. [Mich, d20 to pickup Tea, +! for skills, 8+ pass, 15+ success, 4- crit fail]
  164. Stray,16-success
  165. Tea,16-success
  166. Mich,5- fail
  167.
  168. Tea quickly rolls out of the way, the beast trying to stop itself but failing, skidding in the softer dirt of the shore to the river with a growl.
  169. Mich took the opportunity to swoop in and grab for Tea, but she slips out of his hands only a few inches from the ground, landing on her butt with a 'plop'.
  170.
  171. It then roared as a bolt went deep into its back, turning to Stray and snorting, it suddenly tenses, and one of the warts on its back pops, sending a small hunk of something goopey at Stray!
  172.
  173. Stray Shot jumps off the ground and attempts to fly to avoid the goop and fly behind the creature again, to help pick Tea up.
  174.
  175. The brown mare was there, ready for the griffon to swoop-swoop, but holy hell if that thing wasn't BIG and approaching FAST! Her reflexes just kicked in, making the mare jump away from the beast-- now staring at beast, the goop with a "WATCH OUT!"-- and worrying about Mich, given that she probably caused the mess! Her horn flickers back to life and tries to beam another shard at the beast while it was staggered!
  176.
  177. lands next to tea time and tosses a javelin at the beast "You two are pretty light on your hooves, looks like you don't need my help!” he smirks.
  178.
  179.
  180. [Stray, d20 to dodge, +1 for skills, 7+ pass, 12+ success, 2- crit fail]
  181. [Stray, if success on first, D20 to pickup Tea, 8+ pass, 15+ success, 2- crit fail]
  182. [Tea, d20+2 for attack, 6+ pass, 15+ success, 2- crit fail]
  183. [Mich, d20 for throw, 7+ pass, 17+ success, 2- crit fail]
  184. Stray 1st,17-success
  185. Stray 2nd,14-pass
  186. Tea, 18-success
  187. Mich,9-pass
  188.
  189. Everything happens within moments: the golden glow around Tea's horn begins to shimmer again, the light growing in the intensity to pure-white- alas, an odd thing happens again! The gems on the crystal focus flick up and what usually would blast off as a beam starts changing --a sharp, crystalline like spike emerging out of the light on the tip of the mare's horn and blasting off in the beast's direction!
  190.
  191.
  192. Stray quickly gets out of its attacks range, swerving over it and swooping in towards his allies.
  193.
  194. Meanwhile both Mich and Tea use their ranged advantage on the beast, and while Miches Javelin connects, it doesn't go too deep.
  195.
  196. Teas shard, however, hits the mark, exploding a good chunk of flesh off its back with a direct hit! It screams in pain, and turns around, staring at the three with anger and pain in its eyes.
  197.
  198. This is when Stray suddenly swoops in, latching onto Tea, and while he isnt able to get too high, he does drag them both off to the side.
  199.
  200. This leave Mich its only target, as it opens its mouth, and its tongue flicks out at him like a frogs!
  201.
  202.
  203.
  204.
  205. Stray Shot is well out of the way before the goop ball hits him, and he soon turns his attention on Tea. Seeing her horn flicker, he times his flying to reach her after she fires off her beam, wincing at the brightness of the blast. He then swoops down and latches onto Tea, dragging them both off to the side to put as much distance between them and the beast as possible. The pegasus is dripping sweat, his camo shirt nearly soaked through from his sweat and the humidity. He doesn't waste a moment, however, and as soon as he lets Tea go he goes prone against the ground and brings his crossbow back up to aim, firing off another bolt at the monster in the upper-midsection.
  206.
  207. "Eeek!!", Tea's eyes go wide and the magic flicks out from a startle as she gets picked up, "W-Wha!?"
  208.
  209. Meanwhile the remains of the shard, both lodged 'n scattered simply vanish into nothingness after a couple of seconds... just as the mare was gettin' flown away, "T-Thanks, Koryo-r!", she stammers at the unexpected change in the altitude, her somewhat redundant crossbow flapping against the quiver on her chest. For a stammer though, Tea sounded increasingly grateful. Having a distance away from that huge thing was a blessing! Feeling more confident, the mare's horn starts to charge another blast!
  210.
  211. Draws his spear and attempts to stab the approaching tongue. "I only let the ladies lick me, frog!"
  212.
  213. [Stray, d20+1, 8+ pass, 14+ success, 1- crit fail]
  214. [Tea, d20+2, 7+ pass, 16+ success, 3- crit fail]
  215. [Mich, d20 counter-attack, 9+pass, 18+ success, 4- crit fail]
  216. Stray, 9-pass
  217. Tea, 8-pass
  218. Mich,8-fail
  219.
  220.
  221. The things tongue is fast, and while Mich is able to get his spear between him and the tongue, its sticky tip simply punches the spear point off like a toothpick, though he is able to avoid getting drawn in.
  222.
  223. Tea is able to get another shot off, but notices it takes more out of her, causing her to tilt up and only graze the beast. Stray also gets a shot into it, but into the squishy, less important bits.
  224.
  225. Angry, the beast turns, and straining, launches a small barrage of goopey things at Stray and Tea!
  226.
  227. "AACK!" Stray yelps as he dives to the side to avoid the goopy things, rolling off to the left.
  228.
  229. clenches her teeth, quick breathing turning into pants... Heck if this wasn't straining her up-- just when her vision spot something dark flying her way-! Staring at the coming things like a deer in the headlights -- the mare's aura would blast forth in an attempt to form a barrier. The mare didn't even had time to think about the implications of how the crystal focus would affect the ability that she barely remembered...
  230.
  231. he frowns at the broken slimey spear. at a glance, stray and tea seemed fine. "I really need to invest in a sword" he says reaching for his other spear. Mich takes flight and charges the distracted beast.
  232.
  233. [Stray, d20 for dodge, 9+pass, 16+ success, 3- crit fail]
  234. [Tea, d20 for barrier, 10+ pass, 17+ success, 6- crit fail]
  235. [Mich, d20 for attack, +1 for distracted, 7+ pass, 15+ success, 2- crit fail]
  236. Stray,5-fail
  237. Tea,17-success
  238. Mich, 3-fail
  239.
  240. Tea quickly throws up a Crystaline shield, and watches as the blacky goop impacts hard enough to shake the thing, and notices the stuff starts melting the crystal, though its thick enough to absorb the attack!
  241.
  242. Meanwhile Stray simply was not quick enough to escape all of the incoming projectiles, yelping as ones splats next to him, his back right leg and some of his side getting the goop on it, the sticky substance burning into him painfully, and deeply enough for him to see blood come out of the flesh!
  243.
  244. Miches attack also fails, the thing seeing him and whipping its tail at him, forcing Mich to back off.
  245.
  246. Tea was clutching it out it seems. Last time she used something like this, she wasn't quite 'herself', but the memories of a see through magical 'bubble' were quickly surging back. This stuff tho? A crystal shield?? Holly Molly if the smol mare wasn't excited! ... If only for a split moment though as the sight of the darkening spots on the other side and a forming hole makes her gasp jump away, "Careful!! That goo melts darn crystals!!", she exclaimed as the crystalline structure begins to vanish away.
  247.
  248. Stray Shot winces and yelps in pain as he looks behind him to see the goop burning into his flesh. Seeing blood drawn out, Stray's tenses up as he realizes that this has become far more dangerous than he had planned or hoped. He felt the adrenaline dumping into his small body, making all of his muscles tense up and him breathe heavily, his face contorted into a mixture of fear, anger, and determination. He rolls over onto his stomach and brings his crossbow back up to aim again, cranking the charging handle with the springy clanking of metal that comes with it. He does his best to ignore the wound and stay still despite the pain as he lines his sights up and fires off another bolt, aiming for it's head.
  249.
  250. The mare was forgetting something, the realization that someone else was by her side just seconds ago hitting her! Tea stares to the side, "Stray!?! Oh God...", she finishes the last bit on a mumble, taking notice that he seemed to be moving and preparing to shoot a bolt out. follows suit with her horn starting to charge another beam-spike.
  251.
  252. Mich launches himself upward to get a better angle on the creature, now that he was level with the two ponies, he sees the damage the monster's goo can do. "i see you guys are having better luck up here" He throws his second and last javelin at the beast.
  253.
  254. [Stray, d20 for shot, 8+ pass, 16+ success, 2- crit fail]
  255. [Tea, d20 for shoot, +1 for item, 8+ pass, 17+ success, 5- crit fail]

  264. Mich 2nd, -2- crit fail
  265. 1/3
  266.
  267. "Ain't-- * pant * so!", Tea exclaims through heavy breathing, "Stray's * pant * hit! Iunno if he * pant * can fly?", as she tried to concentrate the golden glow into shimmering whiteness.
  268.
  269.
  270. Strays shot goes off course, only getting a slight skimming shot across its back, and Tea struggles to get her magic up, but manages to fire off another shard, getting a good graze aswell!
  271.
  272. But meanwhile, While Mich as able to dodge another tail swing and get into the air, he completely mis throws his last javelin, the thing arching WAY over the thing and....with a THUNK, hits Tea in the shoulder!
  273.
  274. The think is angry now, turning back to Stray and Tea and charging, now that Mich is high above it.
  275. They do notice is is slower though.
  276.
  277. The mare's attention was getting blurrier with each shot, like a veil of fatigue settling over her sight: there went the shard, there it grazed the thing again... darn if she wasn't gettin' peeved by the fact that she couldn't jam a shard into a thing that was so much bigger than her! She was about to take a breath, when the pain-train sent her body back, kicking the small mare off her hooves, "AaaayyyOWOWOW!"-- luckily for her the padded tunic prevented the thing through going all the way through her flesh.
  278.
  279. Stray Shot watches as the bolt flies into the frogmonster, but curses under his breath as he sees it barely skimmed it. He gasps in horror as he sees the javelin strike Tea Time, and her yelling makes his ears fold back as he looks on in worry. "Wh-AH! T!" Stray grits his teeth, starting to think that this was falling apart now that friendly fire was in the mix. He glares at Mich momentarily, wondering for a split second if he'd re-adopted some of his homicidal tendencies. This was not the time to think about that, though, and Stray attempts to hop off the ground and fly into the air to avoid the monster, dashing over to Tea Time to pick her up out of the way again as well, if he can.
  280.
  281. in the meantime's all focused on pulling the thing out, bypassing any usual 'recommendations' for the stabby wounds. Heck, she'd be even more useless with a long pole sticking out of her shoulder and alas, my lass, not enough of that bite in the jaws to crack the thing at the base. The damage was already done tho. "Godfaki'nsh weel ta bitsh.", she groans through her teeth that were clenching the stick, trying to pull it out!
  282. With a quick reverse jab, the mare manages to pull the thing out of her, staring daggers at the thing, pulling the loaded crossbow into her hold for a shot.
  283.
  284. "shit, Sorry" the birb ribs the back of his head, armed with only his spear and his sheathed dagger he flies after the beast to run it through!
  285.
  286. [Stray, d20 for maneuver! 8+ pass, 16+ success, 2- Crit fail]
  287. [Mich, d20+1 for dive attack! 7+ pass, 14+ success, 4- crit fail]
  288. [Tea, d20 for shot! 8+ pass, 16+ success, 5- crit fail]
  289. Stray, re-roll, 11-pass
  290. 2/3
  291. Mich,16-success
  292. Tea, 19-success
  293.
  294. Tea was not just angry, she was a lil pony of vengeance, quickly pulling out her Crossbow she proved advanced technology cannot beat primal fury, putting Stray to shame with a shot into the things eyes, before Stray suddenly was yet again dragging her off to the side.
  295.
  296. Mich then swooped in with a squawk, hitting the thing hard and deep into its back!
  297.
  298. This combined with the lost eye made it tilt and slam into a very large tree, and with a whine, slumped onto the ground.
  299.
  300. The group watches, but the thing isnt able to get back onto its feet, simply making whimpering sounds as it bleeds out where it lays....
  301.
  302. Tea squeaks both from 'nother round of manhandling and pain in her shoulder, "O-Owiiie!"
  303.
  304. Stray Shot lets go of Tea as soon as he finishes dragging her out of the way again, wincing when he hears her pain. "Sorry!" He calls back as he brings up his crossbow for another shot, but lowers it when he sees the beast slump to the ground. With a relieved but pained sigh, the stallion slings his crossbow and slowly limps up to the dead frogator. After nudging it with his hoof to make sure it was dead, he stood there, staring at it for a long few seconds in thought until he turns his head to look at his bleeding wound. He sits down on his haunches and reaches his hooves into his saddlebags, pulling out a roll of bandages and beginning to wrap up his bleeding hindleg, wrapping them as tightly as he can to staunch the bleeding. As he wraps it, he looks to Tea, his momentary relief from the monster being dead turning back to worry as he sees the injured mare. Finishing his bandages, the stallion coughs as he limps his way over to her, dropping down to his knees and looking over her wounds. "Tea... y'alright?" He rasps out flatly, his throat dry and full of sudden exhaustion as the adrenaline begins to wear off.
  305.
  306. Tea seeps in air through her teeth letting go off the crossbow 'n letting it swing on the strap, "Pfff---haaaa-- ", she takes a sip of air as her flank plomped down to the ground, the uninjured hoof rubbing the tears off her eyes, "-- fffff-fhink I've a stabby 'ere, s-sirs.", she said while looking at the padded shoulder and a circle of crimson 'round the fabric. "D-Darn * sniff * spikes 'r g-grea-eight... h-how's 'that' thingg?"
  307.
  308. Stray Shot winces, seeing the blood seep through her tunic. He tries to get the tunic off of her as quickly as possible, and if that's not possible, he just tears it off, soon wrapping his roll of bandages tightly around Tea's shoulder wound, though even with his very limited medical knowlege he could see that it probably needed stiches. He forces himself to smile at Tea reassuringly. "Y-you got it, Tea... Good job..." He says softly. "Uh... not to alarm you though, but I think you need stitches," he says, his smile turning more sheepish. "C'mon, you don't need to be walkin' on that. We should get you to the clinic," Stray says, his voice still slightly shakey from the adrenaline wearing off as he feels cold, making him visibly shiver. He crouches himself against the ground next to Tea, gesturing for her to climb on again.
  309.
  310. Lands next to the beast and stabs it in the throat, "I really am sorry about that wound." He frowns at the bleeding mare. "If we can strip anything off of this thing back at camp, it should go to you first."
  311.
  312. 'd help Stray with pulling the pads off, haphazardly so, but still... granted the increasing, burning sensation from the torn flesh wasn't helpin'! The mare hisses through her teeth as the bandages were applied, "W-Well fuck me... 'n 'ere I tought's gotta be a frog ta git me--", she mutters before looking at Mich, waving her hoof, "'s fiiiine-- * ow* o-ok, not fine, b-but ya git it. Hoping 'ere for embassy horses ta knuw a way without 'em stiches, cuz -- o-ow!!”
  313.
  314. Stray Shot shakily helps the mare onto his back before standing up. His satisfaction in their success of the hunt was somewhat deiminished by his dismay at Tea's injuries. He looks to Mich, forcing himself to have a level expression even though he felt slightly miffed at the birb, even though it was probably an accident. He forces that aside, however, and gives Mich a nod as he limps over to him and the dead beast with Tea on his back. "I'm gonna get T here to the clinic. Y'think you and the Guild can drag this thing back?" He asks, kicking the frogator's carcass softly
  315.
  316. Tea Time-Today at 7:33 PM
  317. Frankly the mare was more worried about contracting an infection in the swamps, rather the tear, "Y-Yeeeep... s-sorry, Michie-- fellas, but this lil' horsie's outta * sniff * it.", Tea says with a pained voice as she got saddled on the Koryo-r.
  318.
  319. After making their way back, it was already pretty late, but thankfully the Guild informed them they made it back in time, and sent people out to retrieve their hunt!
  320.
  321. In only three hours, would the winners be announced, they were told.
