  1. So, Midou picks the time she knows where Kazumi will be home. She devises a plan to hide in his shower, jump out, stab him lightly, tie him up, and then use the nurse's car to transport him back to her house. However, when she jumps out, Kazumi is waiting with a Louisville Slugger and swings the bat full blast into Midou's arm, breaking it. She freaks out, and tries to jump out the window, but Kazumi has blocked it with barbed wire. He had planned for the triple-cross from the teacher and set up a secret plan to get Midou.

  3. The friends show up and abduct Midou, taking her to the classroom where she crippled his middle school crush and raped him. There, he continues to hurt Midou. Midou keeps egging him on, and it becomes clear to everyone that Midou is trying to get him to kill her so she will forever be part of him. He almost does it, but just then his wheelchair-bound middle school crush shows up and stops him. She basically talks him down and lets him know that they need not let hatred of MIdou define them and keep them from seeking their own happiness. They end up calling the police (FINALLY!) and Midou is arrested.

  5. 10 years pass. He is married to his middle school sweetheart, and she is pregnant with their kid. Kazumi still has the scars from where Midou tortured him, but he vows to be happy regardless. Just then, they get a letter. It's from Midou. The outside of the letter says "Future Post" implying that it's a service where you write a letter and they hold onto it and sent it years later. Midou is a bit conciliatory and humble in the letter, and perhaps a bit nostalgic for the time they spent together. At the end, she says she wants him to know that she will love him for all eternity.

  7. As we read this last declaration, we see Midou's lifeless body with a creepy smile sitting her prison cell. She has a pencil/pen stuck in her neck. She is covered in blood, and she had written "I love you" all over her cell walls in blood. It turns out, she had killed herself shortly after being imprisoned, and this letter was written 10 years prior. Regardless, Kazumi spends a moment reflecting before he shakes it off, and goes with his wife and their friends to the park for a happy picnic. That's how it ends.
