 Job Description:

Typically requires 5-8 years experience in Network architecture and design roles
Significant experience with Unix (e.g., Cisco, Sun servers), LAN/WAN, Routers and switches, Network protocols, shell scripting, sab/nas storage, EBR and cost estimation
Voice and Video Conferencing Technologies a plus.
CCNP/CCNA/CCIE is a plus


ROLE SPECIFIC:
** 3-5 yrs Enterprise Network Mgmt
** 3-5 yrs Cisco router & switch mgmt experience in a WAN/LAN/VPN/ISP environment.
Operates a company’s internal data communications systems, including LANs and/or WANs. Plans, designs and implements networked systems, including configurations, supporting/troubleshooting network problems and coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as routers, bridges, concentrators and switches. Works on project implementation. Provides training and assists with proposal writing. Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons.
Major Responsibilities/Duties - Responsible for the administration of AT&T Wi-Fi Services IT network including the LAN, POPs, remote data centers, and remote offices (including site-to-site VPNs and point-to-point WAN circuits). Responsibility for managing all IT network switches, routers, firewalls, VPN tunnels, and wireless access points. Responsible for ensuring that AT&T Wi-Fi network delivers extremely high availability while scaling with the needs of the business. Responsible for initial setup, ongoing maintenance, and troubleshooting for all network devices, VPNs, and GRE tunnels with partners and vendors.
Nature of Contribution- Seasoned technical professional who contributes through proven technical expertise. Has significant impact on department or function.
Knowledge - Subject matter expert within own discipline/specialty area and basic knowledge of other disciplines / specialty areas. Deep technical knowledge. Applies in-depth knowledge of discipline/specialty area standards and processes to work. Integrates industry experience and deep professional/ technical knowledge. Technical leader and recognized expert on select AT&T technologies, systems and/or procedures.

Requirements for the Position - Successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
•8 years network management experience in a Cisco-based enterprise or data center environment.
(95% of this position is Cisco based.)
•Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise-level network management and security
•Cisco router and switch management experience
•Strong understanding of Cisco IOS
•Solid skills and knowledge in routing and traffic management protocols (OSPF, BGP, HSRP, Spanning Tree, etc...)
•Solid understanding of NAT, access-lists/access control, route-maps, policy routing, QoS, CBAC, NBAR
•Strong layer 2 and layer 3 management experience
•Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and networks
•Experience in managing WANs (DS1, DS3, OC3, Frame Relay, Internet, and point-to-point) as well as site-to-site and end-user VPNs
•Cisco PIX (or ASA) firewall management experience strongly desired
•Excellent written and oral communications skills with demonstrated commitment to producing high quality documentation
•Ability to work well with others across many organizations including development, sales, marketing, finance, customer support, and field service
•Strong time management skills and proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet all schedules
•Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
•Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service
•Willingness to provide off-hours on-call support and work off-hours as necessary
•Ability to track progress on specified metrics set forth by your management team
•CCIE & CCNP certification(s) strongly desired.
