  1. On the surface, the main entrance to the building is a business center complete with parking lot. This has an elevator that leads down into a common room, which houses the mighty world gate (which has a tendency to open wormholes to random locations, an excellent way for your character to enter the setting) along with a number of coffee tables and couches. Connected nearby is a large scale kitchen largely composed of chrome, with a central island decked with bar-stools. The surrounding room is lined with utensils and appliances which can be moved into new positions as needed. Food is available for use in this room in the form of vending machines (these are not strictly filled with snack-foods. It is more accurate to say insert dollar into slot and raw beef slab lowers from ceiling on plate). Aside from the main elevator, pneumatic tubes may be called using the many public access terminals (which also provide information on all subjects, though classified information will require proper clearance to be granted) from the central elevator hub. When used, it will connect the location it was called to a tube leading to the location the user wishes to travel to, and send an elevator up to the terminal. Alternatively, the many sections of the facility can simply be moved, allowing for the region in question to be made adjacent along with a newly formed doorway. Relevant sections of the building are usually connected at all times by catwalks and doorways, such as different parts of the security sector. Finally: if you decide to just make things simple, you can also just open a portal on the wall leading to the place you wish to travel to. There are numerous small medical sectors scattered across the facility, and when someone is injured they can be summoned as well using the terminals, at which point the nearest appropriate medical room will be moved in place. Between the various rooms is naught but the occasional catwalk, beams, rails and a bottomless abyss. Near the common room, but still below is the underground city, which is the current form the population center has taken. This includes commercial buildings of the usual sorts, allowed to thrive under the power of capitalism despite the post apocalyptic situation up above, along with apartments and similar.
