like a dorm room fridge
that got its wish to
be a real boy
and I too am full
old ice
cheap beer
exactly three green onions,
wilted
Worcestershire sauce
leftovers of
questionable comestibility
an apple, if I can
very manly cans of sugar water
that bear not on my man-ness
immovable
a menhir
easer of your hungers
always there
always on
humming
whirrs lulling you
to sleep when
the world won't let you
on guard as long as
the power's on
