- [ART] One month ago, Saka Mikami won Valentine's Day (Kaoru Hana wa rin to Saku)
- What's the source?
- <Kaoru Hana wa rin to Saku>

- I maintain that throughout the month of February and a 15-chapter span, Saka Mikami pulled off one of the more beautiful arcs among the current Reiwa rom-com manga we have. And only maybe 200 users in r/manga a week managed to even know about it, much less witness it. Almost all of the blame for this deafening silence is laid at the feet of Kodansha, who licensed the manga for online distribution through a model that is considered subpar compared to Shueisha's service or sailing with Straw-hats (aka the I'd Rather Sleep team). Coupled with the implied threat of being nuked off the face of the internet (remember the Black Cat team?) and it's easy to why the users here can readily balk on an otherwise good (if decidedly low-fi) story.
- So I suppose it's time someone do something like this to jog the sub's memory and hopefully encourage greater shipbuilding activity. If the winds are in your favor, just go for it. Catch up from where you left off (likely Ch.70 to Ch.80) or binge from the start, and I promise you the rewards are gorgeous. And you'll be like me who would be begging up and down for a good animation team to adapt this in a multi-season affair.
- To be clear: there are strong, self-evident arguments today in favor of those who reckon <You and I Are Polar Opposites>, <Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san> and <Boku no Kokoro Yabai Yatsu> have surpassed this manga by leaps and bounds in terms of writing quality, especially in terms of how they navigate their post-confession states. But KaoruHana is still top-tier, on par with <Skip and Loafer> and we're long overdue a renaissance. Happy White Day and 3 million subs, r/manga!

There's a PNG version of the last slide that is a cool 6616x3260 panorama (thanks to Waifu2x) but it's a 35mb file and there's no online image hosting site that can handle that. Here's the [JPEG](https://i.imgur.com/rMYTCzS.jpeg) as penance.
