  28. The original Grey Ghost was, of course, well known on television. There was little enough to be said about him - he saved the day, made sure crime didn't pay, and got his groove on in a way that you only really could with the campy sixties crime fighting shows.

  30. The more modern incarnation, the one who haunted Gotham's streets, was actually related to the actor who portrayed him. A grand-nephew with no immediately visible connection, and a scientific genius with an incomparable mind. While he was apparently satisfied working for a business, what was kept from his fellow employees was that he actually owned the company. Oh, it was no Wayne Enterprises or LexCorp, but it was still a very major company.
  31.
  32. One that he could neatly package up some of his breakthroughs from, and turn them to the purposes of cleaning Gotham up.
  33.
  34. He was, in many ways, an opposite to the Batman. The two met, and occasionally clashed. Batman had a balance, a refinement of both body and mind; the Ghost leaned much more heavily on mind, able to disguise himself thoroughly when out of his 'uniform', and able to become invisible when in it. Among other gadgets and abilities he created for himself. In time, the two came to something of a truce, though no partnership unless things were particularly dire for the city. Such as Ra's al Ghul and his assassins trying to exterminate the city... or the world... or the Joker going beyond the bounds of normal - he in particular had a dislike for the Ghost, because he saw him as butting in on a joke without bringing a punchline.
  35.
  36. As befitting any vigilante operating in Gotham, of course there were those who would pit themselves against the Ghost deliberately. For the most part, they ended up faring just about as well against him as Batman's rogue gallery fared - perhaps a couple of those who would have been the Bat's enemy ended up facing the Ghost more often instead, but by and large there wasn't a great deal of overlap in them; the population of Arkham didn't grow appreciably, beyond one or two people.
  37.
  38. Though oddly, the time when Simon Trent actually put on the old Grey Ghost outfit to go in with Batman, the Ghost only found out about it afterward. He couldn't be mad, though - apparently the Grey Ghost was an inspiration to Batman himself. Can't fault a man for good taste.
