  1. Aar for 160 Brave Voltron pilots saving an entire super fleet:
  2. Elo Knight had a sac fleet in 4-07 bashing the ansiblex and upon being contested with even numbers decided to tactically advance in the Querious direction and far away from the voltron eagle fleet. Shortly after they moved down to g-m4gk to harass test instead, Test was already formed in a nightmare fleet in FAT and asked me to follow them with a fuel truck in case any ansiblexes didn't have enough for a battleship fleet. Upon reaching esoteria I reshipped to fast tackle to join them.
  3. The test fleet then bridged ontop of the goons as they were looking to extract out into period basis. Along with the nightmare fleet a group of HAW dreads, carriers and super carriers cyno'd in to show Elo the door.
  4. However their cyno was uncomfortably close to the gate.
  5.
  6. Shortly after the sac fleet exits into period basis a flood of dictors starts pouring into g-m4gk and holding the caps in place. I start preparing to form Voltron as goons begin moving dreads and supers to the tcag (Period Basis) side of the border.
  7. As the voltron fleet starts forming goons gate a large carrier, fax and anticap dread fleet into Paragon Soul to try and kill the trapped caps and supers meanwhile their supers are midding to get in the fight.
  8. Our job is to stop those supers making it through by any means necessary. If they get through all the trapped caps and follow up assets committed to extracting those caps (some 70 supers/titans) will die.
  9.
  10. At this point the voltron fleet is just arriving to the scene, we took the shorter much more dangerous route straight through Period Basis in the heart of enemy territory to get to the fight ASAP. We break into TCAG as the goon supers are aligning to G-M4GK and begin to take control of the gate. Slaughtering reinforcement Muninns left right and center as they try and crash through the gate to join the main bulk of their fleets in Paragon Soul. We keep the gate bubbled permanently, our only objective here is to prevent those supers from crossing that border even if it means sacrificing our whole fleet in the process.
  11.
  12. After we begin engaging on the gate an additional Goon Ferox fleet enters system and joins the fray. Being in Eagles we're similar to Feroxes in many ways but are faster, have longer range and a smaller sig so we're able to kite them perfectly, sitting just outside their optimal and just inside ours we begin picking them off one by one. It's here that the goon supers finally have enough of being cucked by some measly Eagles and warp to a ping off the gate to begin engaging us, we switch our focus from kiting away from the Feroxes to kiting away from the Supers. We warp to a ping putting us on the tail end of the Ferox fleet and 200+km away from the goon supers giving us plenty of time to play with as their fighters slow boat over to us.
  13. The Ferox fleet is taking heavy losses as we get under their guns and start chewing through them so they decide to ping off giving us a moment of reprieve to also ping off and move away from the encroaching ball of hostile fighters.
  14.
  15. For some reason the Ferox FC didn't learn his lesson the first time and decides to warp to us at 0 whilst we're sitting at our ping contemplating our next move, we quickly resume sig tanking and chewing through their DPS as he realises his mistake and begins to warp off. One perfectly timed bubble from a friendly dictor splits their fleet in two as they begin to scramble towards safety allowing us to quickly render their fleet combat ineffective.
  16.
  17. Whilst all of this is going on the Goon dreadbomb in Paragon Soul is being eaten alive by the armour supercap fleet of Test without the support of their own supercaps and they begin extracting their subcaps, we peel off from the Gate having held the grid for a good 15 minutes with 0% tidi against 2 hostile fleets and the entire supercap force of the Imperium breathing down our necks. We start bouncing safes and prepping our exit plan, which after trying and failing a few little tricks we decide to just fuckin send 'er. We peel the hostile subcap fleets off the gate by warping to a ping and immediately aligning out with heated propmods, allowing them to land tackle on us and bring their subcap fleets into their own bubbles. We then bounce to our safe and immediately back to the gate burning 25km through bubbles and arriving safely back in blue space to find the wrecks of 75 Goon dreadnoughts and their assorted supports along with a heroes welcome in local.
  18.
  19. Despite all the odds being stacked against us our little 160 man Eagle fleet managed to hold off over 400 hostiles including the supercarrier wing of the Imperium's supercapital fleet long enough to buy time for Test to clear the dreadbomb and extract their previously thought doomed super fleet. All whilst going isk neutral. https://br.evetools.org/related/30004937/202009040300
