#PastebinMonday 05/01/2023 Time to Get to Work Edition

'Sup, doods!

To borrow from a YouTuber I frequently watch—as I seem to do with all of my style, it seems—the challenge of arranging my bedroom in a way to not distract me because of how disorderly it looks is now MISSION COMPLETE. To hell with my cable management, to hell with the bedding and old streaming equipment I have stuffed in my closet, it is now time to get to work on the things that I want to do.

Unfortunately, most of what I wanted to do during the Great Spring Cleaning of 2023 was consume YouTube videos to, mostly unsuccessfully, put on in the background while I worked on rearranging things. There's still a big part of me that is not wanting to flip the switch between being a content consumer and a content creator. It feels like I don't have the time for both as mentally slow as I tend to be. I sense the absent mindedness that I am going through most of life with right now, seeking only the dopamine fix that I get from watching people on the Internet do their thing. I feel that this is also tied to my feeding habits, which explains so much about why I stay as fat as I am. I swear, there were critics warning about this kind of effect happening with television before my MOTHER was born. U.S. History students chose to not pay attention, I guess. Can't say I blame them.

Now I can work on whatever I feel like in peace. Pay attention to the goals at the end of these weekly Pastebins to get an idea of what I would like to spend my time on at any given point. Who knows how these plans will change with what surprises come up next? I barely have any idea what I am going to be doing for the next three months of streams. You'll just have to stay tuned in on Twitter to find out!

Today's (permanent) extra streaming goals:

Goal #1: edit my best Peggle Extreme Adventure Mode run for YouTube. I found myself having very little to talk about for that entire session on Friday. Making that interesting will be a challenge.
Goal #2: create a broadcast stream layout for the next LPS minor speedrun tournament game. Kirby's Avalanche won the community poll, but tetrisattakr and I will get together this week to make sure that there are no issues with showing off that game. I guess I'll be playing it a little bit more in the coming weeks.
Goal #3: update the LPS Pokémon Puzzle League broadcast layout to be better automated like the Tetris Attack layout.
Goal #5: script and record footage for my Puzzle League tutorial series. I have some scripts to touch up before feeling comfortable with moving on to recording gameplay. Then I will need to record my talking points and edit it all together. I will still want to take time during the week to do all of that instead of stream. Whether I will be able to remains to be seen.
Goal #6: clean up my own stream layout. I am brainstorming how I want the final theming to be. I probably want to give people multiple options, maybe allow spending bits to change the look. I don't have anything written down yet. I don't expect to get to this anytime soon.
Goal #7: maybe make a universal LPS broadcast layout that I don't have to agonize over recreating every year. Hopefully I wouldn't over-homogenize it like SpeedGaming did.

I don't know yet what I'm playing on Friday at 8pm ET. At this moment, I would pick Pokémon Puzzle League. Tomorrow, that might change. I will Tweet something shortly beforehand.
