  1. In the first few chapters of Peak by Roland Smith, I learn about some background information and start to form some opinions on the character Peak. Peak is a 14 year old boy From New York who probably lives with his mom and stepdad. From this point I believe that Peak has some family issues, he doesn’t really like school, and can’t stay out of trouble. He is a troublemaker, will possibly learn from his mistakes of climbing skyscrapers illegally, and learn something valuable.

  4. In the novel Peak by Roland Smith, the character Peak goes to a school called GSS. This school only has around 100 kids and it’s a school for children who are talented in mostly arts, sciences, and math but doesn’t have any sports. I can relate this to my school because my school is exactly like this and I feel how he does. Peak believes he doesn’t have any special talents and everyone at his school does.

  6. If I read another book by this Roland Smith I would know it is him because of the way he spaces out thoughts from conversations. Smith often starts with a few paragraphs of thoughts the main character has speaking to you as if you are thinking what they’re thinking. Then he continues the story by adding conversations but he doesn’t interrupt this conversations with thoughts. He writes them out completely then leaves the end of the conversations for us to enter the protagonist’s thoughts.
