  1. [14:15] Lemuria shut the door behind her, and the moment she stepped in with Deimos, it became immediately evident just how deep her obsession went. Every single inch of every single wall was filled from top to bottom with runes, each one different, but some similar. Most were written in red ink, but some were drawn in a brownish-red substance that appeared to be somewhat flaky. There was a very small list of substances that it could be comprised of, and Lemuria wasn't app to specify just which one it was.
  2.
  3. "Abraxas, can you vacate for a little while? He's going to teach me something and I do not believe he'll allow you to be around for it."
  4.
  5. There's also the shrine and the eternally burning flames held within. This woman was proud of her work and her craft, and it was reflected in the way she designed her house more than almost anything else.
  6. (Lemuria Augustus)
  7. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8.
  9. [14:15] Agnimazud Ishwaratu says, "...Right."
  10. [14:32] It seemed, like a art show at first, and there was more then just a few time Deimos would stop to stare at something within the room, Perhaps he was mesmerized by the work- and now he knew exactly what she meant when she said she had a Passion and it meant almost everything to her.
  11.
  12. Taking off his coat- Deimos would watch as the hooded man would leave, there was no question about the man apparently he knew the rules to the house when it came down to talks like this. "I must say... this is all rather impressive." Deimos said as he turned his gaze to the woman once again.
  13.
  14.
  15. "Let's go next to the fire so that we can begin this lesson- it requires a great deal of focus due to the pinpoint of mana into the nerves to send signals to the brain... or even just sending sounds to the eardrum directly- there's quite a few ways to do this." he explained now making his way towards the lit place.
  16.
  17.
  18. Occasionally he would stop and stare at more of Lemuria's work.. in awe!
  19. (Deimos)
  20. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  21.
  22. [14:34] Lemuria made her way to the brass vessel, and activated her occult aura on reflex. Even she didn't know why she did so; perhaps it was another one of her obsessions? She did enjoy standing here menacingly, though, but that only really worked at night.
  23.
  24. "If nothing else, I can focus."
  25.
  26. ...much unlike her player...
  27.
  28. "Now, what must we do?"
  29. (Lemuria Augustus)
  30. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  31.
  32. [14:43] Hmmm...
  33.
  34. It was easy to explain to her she did have some of the same magics that Deimos has, which makes their link a bit stronger - so in suit Deimos would also flare his corrupted energy and cast spectral sight.
  35.
  36.
  37. "The best way to explain it - we would be communicating much like the familiars do, when you were first given the sight- I know you heard one or few things come from animals, words they say to us to communicate- however you probably notice how some of their words would be impossible to say for their jaw...- snakes, birds rodents.. - they all cannot speak like us."
  38.
  39.
  40. Deimos explained. "So they spoke to our minds directly via telepathy and we to them if we could focus on them..- for me all It takes is a persons scent, or staring into their eyes. What I am explaining is finding something to hone onto that specific person- something that is not the same to another and unique to just that specific person."
  41.
  42.
  43. And after he saidthat he walked over to grab a few locks of Lemuria's hair he didn't pull nor tug instead he just placed her hair close up to his nose. Sniff...sniff then dropped them.. as he backed up - he said nothing and instead just stared at her.
  44. (Deimos)
  45. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  46.
  47. [14:50] Lemuria didn't react to having her hair sniffed; anything was better than unwelcome headpats and hugs. But once he was done with that, she gazed upon Deimos' face, scanning it for anything he had that she could hone in on. His eyes, the expression on his face, his hair... all of it fit the bill, but what attracted her the most? Her spectral sight allowed her to see beyond what could be normally seen, too, so maybe she could pick something up with that...
  48.
  49. But at that point, she came upon an idea.
  50.
  51. While her gaze was locked on Deimos, she thought of something to say, and gathered it within her mind as if it were mana. With her utilization of illusion magic, Lemuria, metaphorically speaking, shot the words she was thinking of directly into his eyes, causing him a mild hallucination of her saying the words she thought. It was a garbled mess and impossible to understand, but it was something to work with.
  52.
  53. Then, she spoke in her normal voice, curious to see if her idea could bear any fruit.
  54.
  55. "Would something like that work?"
  56. (Lemuria Augustus)
  57. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  58.
  59. [15:44] Deimos would frown as he blinked a few times trying to figure out what exactly was blurring his vision - as he looked again he could see the letters, although it was spot on what should be happening it was still consider illusion magic more then anything else, but she wasn't technically wrong.
  60.
  61. However- there were only two problems Deimos could see in this, for one if given the chance that she had to use it on ally during combat she would need to focus completely so that they wouldn't hinder their allies fighting prowess…
  62.
  63.
  64. And number two although just mostly speaking to each other in case she had to use it on someone new - what would keep them from completely freaking out.
  65.
  66.
  67. "That is - a new one I must say I have never actually have anyone do that before." as he said that he closed his eyes and focused disrupting the illusion magic that blocked his vision. "However I would like you to try to make a voice within someone's head,hmm.. I have a task for you- there are many beast you could find within the vale- and many that would speak to you if you were to use your special vision on them."
  68.
  69.
  70. Although a apostate he was sure she already had at least the basic training in the craft- however pure bloods like him learned how to speak to animals during puberty- perhaps there was a lesson in that.
  71.
  72.
  73. "Pick a beast... and try to command it - follow the flow of how they are speaking to you- and mimic it."
  74.
  75.
  76. "Once you have collected a beast.. we will continue this lesson- and hopefully not kill it.."
  77. (Deimos)
  78. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  79.
  80. [15:45] Lemuria Augustus says, "It's difficult because most are really apt to run away."
  81. [15:45] Lemuria Augustus says, "However, I can try."
  82. [15:48] Lemuria found that her clones were always apt to chase after and slaughter helpless bunnies whether she wanted to or not, so maybe giving an explicit command to collect instead of kill would help. Lemuria conjured a clone with her illusion magic, sent it out, and after a few minutes, it returned, covered in blood, fur, and other things, with a lone bunny in its hands that somehow managed to survive its slaughter. The bunny seemed to have been traumatized by the experience, too, as it was just sitting in the clone's hands.
  83.
  84. Staring.
  85.
  86. Eyes as wide as they could be.
  87.
  88. That poor bunny had seen some shit.
  89. (Lemuria Augustus)
  90. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  91.
  92. [16:09] "Hmm..." Deimos found that her method was effective to a degree- he should have thought about doing something like that, but he had something else that he did to catch beast. However to move the lesson along he would leave her with a task to complete.
  93.
  94.
  95. "Now- This next portion could take a week or so Lemuria- but with it you have taken your first step, not all animals or beast are smart but using the occult magic you have- You will get this rabbit to follow a simple command, to go from that bed room over there- to where you stand."
  96.
  97.
  98. He crossed his arms and looked at the girl- he wanted to explain another things. "Use your occult magic to send telepathic waves to the rabbit and command it to move.. focus on it's head... and repeat the message or command again and again- make sure to keep eye contact." He said as he looked at the girl.
  99.
  100.
  101. (Deimos)
  102. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  103.
  104. [16:21] Lemuria hadn't the faintest idea how smart rabbits were, so she was expecting something tedious. However, she was no stranger to tedium, as evidenced by her walls upon walls of art, so she was both mentally and emotionally prepared to do what was necessary. The bunny was placed down on the ground, still staring forward due to the trauma of what it had just experienced, but hey.
  105.
  106. At least it was still.
  107.
  108. Lemuria's pale green spectral eyes stared into the very core of the bunny, and she managed to successfully starve off any knee-jerk reactions to how gosh darn adorable it was. Truly, a master class in self control. With her occult magic instead of illusion, she kept on thinking of commands to give it of varying levels of complexity, and eventually, some of them managed to leak out.
  109.
  110. The bunny, however, didn't respond, as what did manage to leak out was a garbled mess, yet luckily, it was quiet and subdued enough for the animal to not panic. The total lack of feedback was frustrating, as she didn't know how well it worked, but all it'd take was some honing and focus for her to get it down.
  111. (Lemuria Augustus)
  112. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  113.
  114. [16:29] Lemuria continued staring forward, sending what seemed to be telepathic waves whenever she could. After a time, she honed and sharpened the commands she was sending, opting to keep them simple so she could at least see if she was making any progress. However, it took a while for her to clear up the mental fog enough for anything to really come out. This seemed to be something that required patience, and control of the background noises of one's mind.
  115.
  116. It was troubling, considering she always had that background noise.
  117.
  118. However, through a few quick sessions of meditation in between practice sessions, she eventually managed to achieve something that seemed close enough. And so, she once more went back to trying to project a message into the bunny's mind:
  119.
  120. Move.
  121.
  122. Any kind of movement would do; anything at all! She just needed to know it worked-
  123.
  124. Move.
  125.
  126. But after a time of what appeared to be no success, one of the commands did make it through. The bunny hopped around once or twice in random directions, not doing much past that because of how un-specific the command was. To be able to send a more complex command in a short amount of time would require a lot more practice than this, but the feedback was enough for Lemuria to know that she was on the right track.
  127. (Lemuria Augustus)
  128. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  129.
  130. [17:53] It had to listen sooner or later, right? Getting into a staring contest with a bunny, as asinine as it might seem to an onlooker, actually did seem to be working. However, Lemuria still had issue with making her commands more complicated than telling it to randomly hop around.
  131.
  132. Move.
  133.
  134. ...and it moved. But still not to where she wanted it to go. It just randomly hopped around. The poor bunny seemed every bit as frustrated as Lemuria was, albeit for entirely different reasons! But after hours- perhaps even days- of practice, she eventually managed to impart a more complex command into the bunny's head.
  135.
  136. Move... left.
  137.
  138. ...and so it did! Perhaps specifying direction was the correct way to go. Or maybe the bunny was just getting smarter. No matter the case, and kind of progress was progress, no matter how small.
  139.
  140. She was getting closer.
  141. (Lemuria Augustus)
  142. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  143.
  144. [18:04] ...but close wasn't good enough. Lemuria needed to succeed. She needed to win. She was so close to figuring out the basics of witchcraft and elevating herself beyond a mere apostate, and she couldn't let this, of all things, get in her way! But this attitude harmed her more than it helped, as her tendency of getting obsessed over things translated to her not knowing when to rest. But when physical processes got the better of her, and she woke up, she noticed that it made all of this much, much easier.
  145.
  146. And as such, with a clearer mind, she continued.
  147.
  148. ...for the dude who just entered, the scene looks like her getting into a staring context with a rabbit.
  149. (Lemuria Augustus)
  150. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  151.
  152. [18:05] Agnimazud Ishwaratu says, "..."
  153. [18:05] Agnimazud Ishwaratu says, "I... what."
  154. [18:05] Lemuria Augustus says, "Shhh. Trying to talk to it."
  155. [18:07] Agnimazud Ishwaratu says, "I see..."
  156. [18:15] Lemuria's staring intensified, as she refused to elaborate any further on what exactly she was doing.
  157. (Lemuria Augustus)
  158. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  159.
  160. [18:34] * You have been awarded 1 Roleplay Points! *
  161. [18:56] After some rest, with a clear mind, Lemuria was granted the clarity she needed to finally succeed. Gazing into the eyes of the rabbit, Lemuria stated the message she wanted to send once and only once, and pointed over at her room.
  162.
  163. Move over there.
  164.
  165. Through managing to clear the white noise and hours of practice, she finally managed to transmit a clearly-understandable message that the rabbit could respond to. It took a lot longer than anticipated; she had to gather her thoughts in such a way that she could project them outwards, without allowing interference from the other parts of her mind. Despite being able to be inhumanly focused, she had to shoot the thought past the very command itself.
  166.
  167. All of this made little sense when explained, though. The important part is that the action worked, the rabbit hopped its way over towards her room, and then ran right out of her door, never to be seen again.
  168.
  169. God speed, Mr. Bunny.
  170. (Lemuria Augustus)
