  21. [accordion-item title="Who is eligible for Disability Employment Services (DES) with The ORS Group?" state=closed]To be eligible for Disability Employment Services you must:

  23. be an Australian resident
  24. not be currently serviced by another DES provider or Employment Service provider (however, transfers between providers can occur if you are currently being serviced by another DES provider)
  25. have disability, an injury or a health condition
  26. be aged between 14 and 65 years
  27. have a permanent residential address in the Employment Services Area (ESA) for which The ORS Group is contracted to deliver Services or have a current valid ESAt/JCA recommending referral to DES, and
  28. not have a current and valid ESAt/JCA referral recommendation to another service.

[accordion-item title="How can I access The ORS Group’s Disability Employment Services (DES)?" state=closed]Access to Disability Employment Services is either through Centrelink or Direct Registration (including eligible school leavers and Job in Jeopardy participants) provided the eligibility requirements are met.

[accordion-item title="How can I provide feedback about The ORS Group’s Services?" state=closed]If you think you aren’t receiving the right help or have a complaint about The ORS Group, you should first try to talk to us by either speaking with your consultant or the manager at your local office, or by calling us on 1300 677 789. We will provide a feedback and complaints process that is fair and we will try to resolve your concerns as quickly as possible.

  41. In the unlikely event that The ORS Group cannot resolve your complaint, or you are still dissatisfied, we will refer the matter to the appropriate corporate client or complaints resolution body.

  53. [accordion-item title="Are there any costs to receive Disability Employment Services (DES)?" state=closed]Disability Employment Services are funded by the Australian Government. Individuals receiving support through Disability Employment Services are not required to pay for the services provided. However if an individual’s disability, injury or health condition is the subject of a possible compensation claim, this should be discussed prior to commencement in DES, as the Australian Government may wish to pursue recovery of compensation paid.

[accordion-item title="How can I be sure The ORS Group can help people with disability?" state=closed]The ORS Group employ skilled and experienced staff including a team of Allied Health Professionals, to ensure we can meet the needs of all participants. Our staff undertake regular training and mentoring with senior staff to keep their skills up to date and to continually improve on the services we offer.

  59. Each year The ORS Group are assessed by independent auditors as meeting the Disability Services Standards. The Disability Services Standards set out the quality of services we will deliver to you. They can be found online here.

  61. The Australian Government also undertake regular audits of The ORS Group to ensure that we are providing the best possible service to all participants.

  65. [accordion-item title="What support is available to me if I employ a Disability Employment Services (DES) participant?" state=closed]The ORS Group determines need on an individual basis. Each employer and participant relationship is reviewed to determine specific needs to ensure employment can be maintained and is sustainable.

  67. Some examples of the assistance we can provide are:

  69. Developing skills and training activities for Participants to meet employer needs
  70. Assisting employers with job design
  71. Providing assistance, training and information for employers and staff to support Participants in the workplace (i.e. disability awareness training)
  72. Employer incentives, such as wage subsidies and supported wage options (if applicable)
  73. Organising Government funded workplace assessments and modifications or assistive equipment (if required)
  74. Providing tailored ongoing support to assist Participants to maintain their employment
