  1. Here are the current mods / utilities being used in my (Luminous Sibyl) playthrough of Fallout 3. This is NOT a recommendation of any sorts, its up to you to decide what stuff you personally wanna use for your own runs. Lastly, I'm playing on the Steam version of the game with all DLCs purchased and installed.

  25.
  26. NVAC - New Vegas Anti Crash
  27. * Can't promise this will 100% prevent crashes, though as of writing it's still highly recommended since after recording 15 videos (each nearly 2 hours in length) I've only had to deal with 2-3 crashes total.

  52.
  53. Followers Hire
  54. * This was added AFTER the first video of my playthrough series. Was tested to work just fine despite it being uploaded back in 2008.
  55. - I specifically use the version that removes both karma checks and follower count limits.

  57.
  58. =======================================================================================================================================
  59.
  60. All Companions Essential
  61. * Added AFTER the second video of my playthrough series.
  62. - Unknown if this works for the DLC companions, only positive that it makes main game's companions essential / unable to be killed by NPCs.

  64.
  65. =======================================================================================================================================

  78.
  79. Tenpenny Tower Radio
  80. * Added AFTER the seventh video of my playthrough series.
  81. ** Install first, then install the mod below this afterwards.
  82. - Still works even if Tenpenny dies. You can pretend lore-wise that his parts are pre-recorded, I suppose!

  84.
  85. =======================================================================================================================================
  86.
  87. Tenpenny Tower Radio - Radio Sounding Voiceover
  88. * Added AFTER the seventh video of my playthrough series.
  89. ** Install second, after you've installed the mod above.

  91.
  92. =======================================================================================================================================
  93.
  94. On The Road Radio
  95. * Added AFTER the seventh video of my playthrough series.
  96. ** I installed both files in order, with the second one being merged with the first.

  98.
  99. =======================================================================================================================================
  100.
  101. Point Radio and Point Radio - Wasteland Edition
  102. * Added AFTER the 15th video of my playthrough series.
  103. - Tested this way early before recording any videos for the DLC, works just fine!
  104. - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/12971
  105.
  106. =======================================================================================================================================
  107.
  108. Essential Zeta Allies
  109. * Added AFTER the 15th video of my playthrough series.
  110. ** Loading this right AFTER All Companions Essential.
  111. - Tested this way early before recording any videos for the DLC, thankfully can confirm companions go temporarily unconscious instead of dying.
  112. - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/11436
  113.
  114. =======================================================================================================================================
  115.
  116. Agatha Radio Enhanced
  117. * Added AFTER the 15th video of my playthrough series.
  118. ** Very touchy mod, got errors when installing but seems to still work. Recommend you install the part 1 file first, and then install part 2 and choose to merge files.
  119. *** Its file Track23.mp3 is corrupted. For a quick (and kinda lazy) fix, I just put Track23_mono.wav in audacity, exported it as a 192kpbs mp3 file named Track23.mp3, and had it replace the original broken file of same name.

  121.
  122. =======================================================================================================================================
  123.
  124. IPip Player -YOUR Custom Radio Station-
  125. * Added AFTER the 15th video of my playthrough series.
  126. - https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/1559
  127. ** This mod is intended for making a custom radio station, where the 20 placeholder music tracks are replaced with the user's own choices. It can be an involved process if you're not used to editing audio files.
  128.
  129. - If you still want to use this station, here's the steps I had to take for my own selection.
  130.
  131. 1) Grab 20 songs, I'd realistically say aim for no longer than 3 minutes at the most for each one. How you choose to 'grab' said songs is up to you.
  132. 2) For each song, you'll have to bring it into audacity and make some edits.
  133.
  134. - Highlight the entire track, click the Tracks dropdown menu, then hover over Mix, and finally click Mix Stereo Down to Mono.
  135. - Use the gain slider to adjust the volume to your liking. I'd say it's smart to have all tracks be around the same volume, so turn them up / down as needed in Audacity
  136.
  137. 3) When done editing, click the File dropdown menu, hover over Export, then Export as MP3. Make sure the Quality setting is set to 128 kpbs.
  138.
  139. Name the files in the order of track01.mp3, track02.mp3, and so forth until you reach track20.mp3.
  140.
  141. 4) Move your files into the proper folder that all the mod's placeholder tracks are in and overwrite said placeholders. I'm unsure what the start of your folder will be, though it should still have the following at the end of the path:
  142.
  143. \IPip Player -YOUR Custom Radio Station-\sound\Voice\IPip
  144.
  145. In my case, this is in the Mods folder I have set up for my Fallout 3 instance of Mod Organizer 2.
  146.
  147. (If these instructions still don't work, than I'm sorry! This is at least what I had to do to get it working on my end.)
  148.
  149. =======================================================================================================================================
  150.
  151. This SHOULD be everything, as I've kept my order very light as I want to prioritize performance first and small quality of life changes second. Mods installed through Mod Organizer 2 when possible, and other mods / utilities installed manually if it was required.
