Flames from the pits of Nil blackened the steel forming the better part
of this circular greatshield. Upon the front centre of the shield are
scenes done in gold and silver, showing imps and fiends wielding various
twisted instruments in the midst of some sort of dischordant canticle.
Behind the lower demons tower a pair of archdemons, bellowing wrathful
praises to an unseen deity. Each of the figures shown on the shield are
engraved with masterful detail, from the androgynous fiends' stringy
hair to the imps' barbed tails. Along the outer rim of the shield itself
are a series of steel barbs, curving outward and counterclockwise around
the shield.
