  1. Kelenius - Today at 5:20 PM
  2. Because Zirk is contantly in a situation where he can't do anything meaningful even though he has some great tools at his disposal and you constantly put me into that situation with things that I have no way to affect meaningfully
  3. Whenever he tries to talk to anyone he gets ignored or shrugged off
  4. During the whole course of the scenario he rolled diplomacy once even though he is constantly talking to people
  5. It was to the shaman
  6. >Which then refused to listen to him anyway<
  7. TheGreyWolf - Today at 5:22 PM
  8. people have their own agenda, Zirk is a complete outsider and a good chunk of the time says stuff that people are not that likely to just trust an outsider with.
  9. Kelenius - Today at 5:23 PM
  10. He is a fucking bard with amazing diplomacy skills, he is a convincing person
  11. And it's made worse by a fact that you constantly pull "And then an NPC showed up and saved the day"
  12. Which you did twice.
  13. I mean
  14. Maybe you'd let Zirk try to bullshit Avan?
  15. Because I've had a thing to tell him
  16. In fact Zirk tried to right now
  17. Avan paid no attention
  18. Zirk tries to approach humans and tells them THEIR FUCKING BOSS sent him to help them?
  19. Oh well we'll shrug it off and keep walking
  20. It happens constantly, nobody plain listens to him
  21. Next up
  22. Zirk examines the colony
  23. You tell him that the kobolds are constantly kept under watch of humans
  24. And they go at night to a room they can't leave
  25. Zirk creates an illusion to try draw a human into a forest
  26. Human does not chase the illusion - understandable, it's dark and scary
  27. How the fuck did THREE kobolds escape after that?(edited)
  28. They're under constant supervision!
  29. You put them into a place where they will be found and Zirk knows it.
  30. Zirk tries to think of a way to move them somewhere safe, you shoot that down.
  31. Does Zirk have any choice at this point?
  32. Zirk tries to defend them in the only way he can.
  33. He's on a verge of death at the end of the fight and gets caught with no way for me to get away
  34. The fight itself
  35. First off the human should have been dead way sooner
  36. Second I honestly see no reason why Zirk wouldn't cast blindness again if it failed
  37. TheGreyWolf - Today at 5:29 PM
  38. 1: Yes I messed up, nothing much I can say to that.
  39. 2: I didn't actually deny it, I only said that I didn't really feel it warranted much response from me.
  40. Kelenius - Today at 5:32 PM
  41. You clearly implied that the answer is I can't, so don't try to pull that off.
  42. TheGreyWolf - Today at 5:32 PM
  43. we see that answer differently then.
  44. Kelenius - Today at 5:32 PM
  45. Then you should be clearer next time.
  46. You seem to have this contant mindset that if a player has a cool feature, then you need to make it useless.
  47. Fiene has a cool spell that gives her a lot of protection? I'll add random attacks on a monster so it's like she doesn't have it.
  48. Zirk has a lot of diplomacy and bluff? I'll just make it so nobody listens to him anyway.
  49. You need to stop it
  50. You're the GM
  51. You aren't playing against the players
  52. You're playing with them
  53. Also, Zirk never intended to go that far to a distant tribe!
  54. He would have visited an allied one!
  55. But that's beside the point.
  56. Kelenius - Today at 6:08 PM
  57. And it's quite a dick in the face when I'm trying to not be cheesy about an encounter and then apparently you get 15+ against fascinate, 14+ against blindness, 20 for a crit, 14+ for a confirm, 13+ for a halberd, then 9 on a d10 for damage, and then human with 22 hp is somehow still alive after taking 25 damage, and is still alive after taking 32.
