  8. -----------
  9. Let us talk briefly about the Ars Goetia.
  10. -
  11. Ars Goetia is the part of the Lesser Key of Solomon, also knowsn as The Lemegeton.
  12. It is devided into 5 grimoires inwhich is contained theknowlege about rituals, incantations, prayers, sigils and instructions on how to perform them and icorporate them in Ceremonial Magick.
  13.
  14. Ars Goetia itself contains instructions on evoking spirits(other books in The Lemegeton containe instructions on the matter too) most notably focusing on evoking fallen angels.
  15.
  16. 72 fallen angels and spirits to be more exact.
  17. According to the ancient lore, king Solomon drawing from the book given to his father, David by the Archangel Raziel, The Keeper of God's Secrets.
  18. Used the knowlege containe din the book of Raziel to gain vast knowlege in the realm of the spiritual.
  19.
  20. He used it to call upon 72 high ranking fallen angels who followed Lucifer in his rebellion.
  21. Using the knowlege he gained he bound them to his will and the sigil he created.
  22. Imprisoning them in a brass vessel, forcing them to share secrets and their knowlege and to serve his will.
  23.
  24. It is belived for him to be the one who wrote down the knowlege in many grmoires and ancoient scripts that later of have been compiled into The Lemegeton.
  25. Making him the de-facto author of it.
  26.
  27. Not all of it his exact credit however but most of it stems back to the King Solomon.
  28.
  29. Example could be here Ars Paulina.
  30. Containing isntructions on how to evoke Angels from heaven to gain their help, knowlege and favor but that is outside the topic of Ars Goetia itself.
  31.
  32. The name, "Ars Goetia" derives from ancinet greece.
  33. "Ars" meaning art and "Goetia" meaning howling for to ancient greeks many incantations uttered during the ceremonies sounded a lot like howling.
  34. And from there also comes the colloquial name for the one performing the evokations that beign a Goete.
  35. In the book itself tho, the performer is reffered to as an Exorcist.
  36.
  37. I guess that covers some of it.
  38.
  39. >t.your local friendly /x/phile
  40. -
  41. Is it true that these tomes aren't considered unholy and sinful as fuck? Because that does run counter to common perception, summoning demons 'n' shit.
  42. -
  43. Well, i guess.
  44. But then again, according to the church fuckin Harry Potter is sinful and unholy as fuck.
  45. So i donno.
  46.
  47. Don't get me wrong tho.
  48. This isn't a matter to be take lightly.
  49. Magic or any form of occult, it requres preperations, strong will and spirit, dedication and an impervious mind and soul.
  50.
  51. It is hard but potentially may yield secrets and knowlege few have expirienced.
  52. A possibility to see beyond the veil and witness the universum.
  53.
  54. As for the unholiness, i dunno.
  55. King Solomon literally recive dit as a holy blessing from Archange Raziel, servant of God.
  56. And used it the knowlege to bind demons to the human will and give us an edge above them.
  57.
  58. The holiness of this depends on the individual interpretation.
  59.
  60. Consider magic and the occult as a tool.
  61. Tool isin't inherently good or evil, it's a tool.
  62. All it depends on is INTENTION you use it for.
  63. Intention is very important.
  64.
  65. And yes, conjuring demons is very dangerous.
  66. You don't even have a guarantee that you manage to summon the demon you wanted to.
  67. Impostor demons are a thing.
  68.
  69. Now, it also depends on the quality and preperations of the ceremony.
  70. It's ment to keep you safe, i like to compare it to nuclear power and radiation
  71. It is dangerous, of coourse, but if taken right preperation it can yield great power.
  72. It is all in the detail.
  73. It's an instriction and a manual, how well you execute it is dependant on you.
  74.
  75. But i think that Solomon literally eslaving fuckin demon lords to human will is a good indicator of that it may in fact work.
  76.
  77. But as with everything, it's not for everyone.
  78. Not everyone can be an exorcist like how not everyone can be a soldier or a surgeon.
  79.
  80. And also, what makes it harder is that occult isn't an exact science.
  81. It's not contained in the boundries of physics, it just isn't.
  82. -
  83. Secrets of the universe are cool and all but I'd prefer to keep my soul intact and my house unhaunted, so I don't plan on attempting any rituals. I get uncomfortable enough around mere Ouija boards.
  84. -
  85. >I'd prefer to keep my soul intact and my house unhaunted
  86. That's what the instructions in the books are for, kiddo.
  87.
  88. And it's alright.
  89. I don't practice myself but the topic itself is very interesting to me.
  90. There is just something nice about understanding things.
  91.
  92. Also
  93. I get a mini-fit when you lads call folks refer to demon lord characters like Stolas from the show as "goetians"
  94. I fuckin hate it and it's wrong and sounds stupid and yes i am nitpicking.
  95.
  96. Call them demon lords or fallen angels or something i donno.
  97. Demon Lords in Goetia aren't some special other kind of a demon.
  98. They are your normal, as much as you can call a demon normal, fallen angel monarch that just so happened King Salomon, the ultimate magick chad, enslaved.
  99. --
  100. >I fuckin hate it and it's wrong and sounds stupid and yes i am nitpicking.
  101. I felt the same way but couldn't put my finger on it. Being the smartest of my siblings and half-siblings meant I took it upon myself to study Kaballa myself.
  102. --
  103. >Ancient king enslaved demons
  104. Now if only he had infused their likenesses into cards for entertainment, Yu-Gi-Oh! would have had a historical precedent
  105. ---
  106. Do you need to read Hebrew to understand that? I'm part Jewish and can speak but not read that chicken scratch shit.
  107. -
  108. Everything magic get a big no-no in Christendom, regardless what kind of mysticism it is. It's part of the higher powers we're supposed to abstain from and fight against.
  109. -
  110. He made talismans and rings, though.
  111. ---
  112. Nope, there's a full english translation of the Lesser Key. Replete with incantations, rituals and instructions. Is heavy readan tho. Strap in.
  113. --
  114. yea let's go summon demons dude. I doubt they've forgotten that time when some human asshole locked them in a brass pot and forced to spill the beans. I don't think their pride would have enjoyed that. Seriously, don't fucking mess with this shit. Summoning demons against their will is bad enough, especially if you don't have a legitimate fucking reason like to form a pact or something, and ESPECIALLY if you're thinking of trying to be King S 2.0. I've heard they don't like prideful humans. Just don't get involved with this stuff.
  115. -
  116. Literally 8000 years worth of occult study, tradition and cultivation exists so you DON"T get your ass possessed.
  117.
  118. Putting you, if you perform the ceremony well, on the EQUAL terms with fuckin demon lords.
  119.
  120. This of course takes years of practice and study.
  121. Lest you get you ass possessed.
  122. -
  123. By the curtesy of Alesteir Crowley and frineds.
  124. You have access to a translated script from latin to english.
  125.
  126. >made talismans and rings
  127. And pentacles and sigils.
  128. -
  129. also what determines the "power" of a demon? Is there like a spiritual form of muscle? Are some demons caked af? Where do humans sit on the scale? How do you acquire this spiritual muscle?
  130. -
  131. Humans are more physically weak compared to demons but their spiritual potential is immense, why do you think souls are used in deals?
  132. -
  133. >spiritiual potential
  134. Emphasize potential. Human souls may be even worth differently, like a "heavier", more powerful soul being more worth. Or lighter? The Egyptians believed lighter hearts were better.
  135. -
  136. really? how so?
  137.
  138. wait a minute. So is that why we can pull demons into our realm but they can't do the same to us? how do people get possessed then? I'd imagine what with our spiritual energy they'd have a difficult time overriding our will.
  139. -
  140. Only the more strong willed demons can possess humans at will, lesser ones need to trick people into letting them.
  141. ----
  142. ok but now since i'm on this I just had a thought that i'm kinda curious about. Is the psychology of demons basically the same as humans (except that they're demons, of course)? Like when you're summoning them the reason you need protection is because you're literally like breaking and entering their house. What about people who are forced into a contract against their will? Do they have different opinions of those people? etc.
  143.
  144. also don't mention ^ that I compared them to us, I'm guessing.
  145. -
  146. They are similar to us but not like us.
  147. They are Angels, just fallen.
  148.
  149. You not as much break into their house as invite them to yours in a ideally sterile enviroment.
  150. You CANNOT have a physical contact with them as those beigns aren't physical.
  151.
  152. What you do is create a circle around you
  153. And a pentacle
  154. This thingy here Anon posted>>30696004 is the protrective circle that the Exorcist stands in the middle of.
  155. Beforehand must be performed purifying rituals so the enviroment isn't charged by any form of spiritual energy.
  156. Nitpickiness doesn't give justice the required level of precision reqiired po prepare correctly for the ritual.
  157. Ceremonial magick just do be like that.
  158.
  159. The pentacle is your holy sanctuary that you create around yourself.
  160. If prepared properly according to the instructions and correctly with required incantations, etc.
  161. No demon, no matter how powerful, may break into it unless you let the beign in.
  162.
  163. NEVER LET ANYTHING INTO THE CIRCLE
  164.
  165. While prepering your pentacle you draw upon God's protection.
  166.
  167. As for demons themselves.
  168. It really depends, they are individuals much like us and some are more favorable to mortals and some less.
  169.
  170. You summon them into that triangle, it is The Black Mirror.
  171. Skilled Exosrcists with strong will who prepared the ritual correctly may even see the image of a beign manifest as a reflection inthe mirror.
  172. But the conversation and manifestation itself takes place in your mind.
  173. You invite them and talk with them thrugh your psyche, that's why you need all the protective ritials.
  174. The most of the ceremony is preparing the protrectice measures.
  175.
  176. Now, as different personalities as various spirits may have there is one constant.
  177.
  178. Respect.
  179. Respect is absolutely required in dealing with them, period.
  180.
  181. As for intention for evokations, well that entirely depends on you.
  182. Naturally summoning Demon Lords for shits and giggles is considered disrespectful.
  183.
  184. Power depends on the status of an Angel before the fall.
  185. -
  186. interesting. that sounds like a lot of reading.
  187.
  188. Have there ever been people who've been friends with demons? If they have a concept of that. Also, their society sounds a lot like the military.
  189. -
  190. >friends with demons?
  191.
  192. Some spirits are more favorable to mortals than others.
  193. Some may test you if you are worthy and whne they do find you worthy be open for conversations.
  194. Some may after testing you just chat about stuff.
  195.
  196. Some may become your patrons and guardian spirits.
  197. Some may put a mortal curse on you for daring to evoke them, sending misfortune your way and bad spirits to haunt your ass.
  198.
  199. It all varies, it's not constant.
  200. Not an exact science.
  201.
  202. But some may be friendly if you choose yourself to be friendly.
  203. They like gifts and offerings, what exact it depends on the spirit.
  204.
  205. Furfur for example likes sweets and alcohol.
  206. Some may like precious metals and about some i may not even know.
  207.
  208. I don't pretend like i know everything, the whole topic is vast.
  209. 8 fuckin millenia vast.
  210.
  211. I myself don't practice and i don't think i will but i do find it very interesting.
  212.
  213. >their society sounds a lot like the military.
  214.
  215. It biasically kinda is?
  216.
  217. Mixed in with monarchy, various demon lords have varying legions on spirits at their disposal, their personal armies.
  218. -
  219. >Anon accidentally summons stolas
  220. >Nothing lewd happens
  221. >They just talk
  222. >Time fuckery happened and anon summoned a young stolas, before he became a sexual deviant
  223. >They just talk and eventually become friends
  224. >The young bird invites anon to his wedding
  225. >Now they just have to figure out a way to get anon to hell without killing him accidentally
  226. -
  227. Talking about them shiny rocks.
  228. Stolas is said to teach about nature of gems and such.
  229.
  230. They can absolutely teach if summoned.
  231.
  232. >Now they just have to figure out a way to get anon to hell without killing him accidentally
  233. Kek, they just have Anon present through a psychic skypecall.
  234. -
  235. Nah just rip his soul out and have his ghost be there while keeping his physical body alive
  236. -
  237. Your forgot about
  238.
  239. >NEVER LET ANYTHING INSIDE YOUR CIRCLE
  240.
  241. Kek, Stolas just gets Anon the same way Anon got him.
  242. They figure out Anon's sigil and Stolas just Evokes him.
  243.
  244. Or ya know, they just open an actual portal to hell since Blitzo stole the book from Stolas to be able to kill people in the living world.
  245. ---
  246. Isnt one year in hell like fifty years on earth?
  247. >Anon stays after the wedding
  248. >He stayed for a day or two and barely noticed how much time passed on earth
  249. >This keeps up until anon gets hospitalized while in hell
  250. >He spends a month or two in a coma
  251. >He ends up staying with stolas and his family after he learns of how much time passed
  252. >And after he finished grieving over how much time he lost
  253. >Upside, octavia is his goddaughter
  254. -
  255. >Tfw ywn be "una non"
  256. -
  257. >*Unca
  258. You know fucking up baby talk is embarrassing
  259. -
  260. Unca anon or Unca non?
  261. -
  262. Unca non
  263. -------
  264. I'm pretty sure the reason christianity forbids dabbling in this stuff, originally, was because something really fucking bad happened that made people go "nope, not touching that shit ever again". And that we've kind of misinterpreted it as magic being 'evil' over the years.
  265. -
  266. To be honest, the OVERWHELMING majority of people would fuck it up badly. And making it public knowledge invites criminal activity to take place.
  267. ----
  268. What the hell would an Anon's sigil and ritual be actually?
  269. -
  270. >Using the knowlege he gained he bound them to his will and the sigil he created.
  271. Imprisoning them in a brass vessel, forcing them to share secrets and their knowlege and to serve his will.
  272. Real shit? Is the artifact real/still around?
  273.
  274. >Anon is in a museum looking at ancient artifacts
  275. >He stops upon a brass vase
  276. >Everything and everyone just seems to fade away into the background
  277. >All of his attention is on the hypnotic object
  278. >He can hear...things
  279. >Dozens of them whispering to him
  280. >Only one sentence is clear among the cacophony of voices
  281. F̴͖̙̠̬̜̙̈͝R̴̙̺͔̰͕̋͗E̵̜̚͠E̵̡̢̊̒ ̶̣͌͑Ū̴͍̩̟̎S̶͚͓͑͋͂̽̾͌ ̸̟̱̼̕N̵̡̙̟̖̽O̴̯̰̓́͛̀͝Ẁ̶̧̤̰͐͑
  282.
  283. >Anon almost doesn't realize he's picked up one of the line posts
  284. >He smashes the glass surrounding the brass prison and drops the post
  285. >He ,almost reverently, picks up the object
  286. >He hears the voices urging him to free them
  287. >He can faintly hear the alarms going off and people shouting
  288. >He places a hand on the lid and forces it open
  289. >There's an explosion that knocks him off his feet and knocks him out
  290. >Before he blacks out he can hear the voices once more
  291. T̸̛̝̯̭͖̑̓͝H̵̬̦̭̽A̵̱͈͈͝ͅN̶̯͓̓̆̿̑K̸̢̝͍̜̝͂͛ ̷͙̰͍̼̜̾̿͊̍͘Ȳ̸̹̬̫̘̕Ō̵̯̘̬̺͙Ù̸̯̀̈͑̔
  292. -
  293. I like this, got more?
  294. -
  295. Well i didnt but trips say i post more. So /x/fag if youre still here, how would anon get rewarded for freeing these spools?
  296. -
  297. Not /x/fag, but I figure that Anon would be getting stalked, sleep paralysis, night terrors, and would be finding odd notes and drawings in his home.
  298. -
  299. Time for more
  300. >Anon wakes up in a cold sweat, shooting up
  301. >He's in his bed
  302. "What the fuck... I-I was at that museum..."
  303. >Anon feels the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end, as if something was watching him
  304. >He shakes it off and gets out of bed and flicks on the TV
  305. >He goes to the local news and sees the museum he was at
  306. >It looks like a bomb went off
  307. >"...day at the Dubzcheckum Museum disaster struck, a bombing took place and destroyed several priceless pieces and injured dozens of people. On the bright side there were no casualties. This has been channel 12 at 4 PM"
  308. >Four?
  309. >He was there at Four Ten
  310. "How the fuck..."
  311. >He faintly hears someone chuckle behind you
  312. >He turns around and find nothing
  313. >He looks around just to be sure he isn't going crazy
  314. >He finds a note on his night table
  315. >It's not in his hand writing
  316. >It looks like calligraphy if it looked like it wanted to eat souls
  317. >"Time was always a fickle thing, thank you for freeing us. See you soon Anon Y Mous."
  318. Ominous right?
