It is with my deepest regrets to inform you that our fellow community member Mikayla (Tinywetblanket) passed away unexpectedly a few days ago.

Mikayla had unbridled enthusiasm for SMRPG Randomizer. She recently placed third in our community async tournament, and on several occasions she has offered her assistance in doing whatever she could to help get our next major release over the line. She very recently joined our QA team, and in that short time, she has been immeasurably helpful in the completion of some new features and improvements. In particular, she contributed to improvements on item randomization and expanding the viability of certain locations to contain certain items. When the next release is ready to play, there will be much more of the game's world opened up as worth exploring, and it is thanks to her that we can be confident in implementing this.

Outside of the community, Mikayla was my friend, she was a bright, funny, wonderful soul. She was the kind of friend who would message you unprompted to tell you she appreciates you, just to brighten up your day with her kindness. I know I am not the only one who will miss her greatly.

The next major release of SMRPG Randomizer will include a special message in the credits dedicated to Mikayla, and her name will remain under the credits listing for our QA team.

If I become aware of any requests for help on funeral costs or other expenses from her family, I will share that information, but until then, the only action I can really ask of you all is to be true to yourselves and to be kind.
