First, I like to start off with asking everyone what they would like out of the nights session, and then I usually begin a quick recap of last session. Then at the end of the session I like to ask everyone what worked and didn't work for them

	MrCompetition	It is a bright and sunny morning when you all gather outside of Prof. Oaks lab in Pallet Town. For various reasons, you each have decided to assist him with his dream of finally completing his greatest invention, the Pokedex. Wether it be for money, science, or boredom, you have each gathered here this morning to finalize your contracts with him, and to receive your pokedex. (If you started...
	MrCompetition	...with one, he took it to modify it).
	MrCompetition	<Done. Suddenly having a bit of a mental block.>
	Desmond	stands outside the lab, leaning against a wall with his hands in his pockets.
	Alicia	throws open the door, not bothering to knock or check if it's locked
	Dimitri	*Dimitri looks inside to see whats going on
	MrCompetition	While not allowing itself to be thrown, the door does swing on it's hinges
	Talum	kneels down to Taimala and pets her neck gently. He looks to Shosko, then to the others that stand before the building. He was adapting to the attire of the more modern individuals as time went on, but they still looked...odd to him. He's a bit surprised as he sees one of them letting themselves in. He keeps an eye on the one that took initiative.
	MrCompetition	Dimitri: Upon looking inside, you see a great deal of hussle and bustle. Researchers and lab assistants move about in their clean white coats. Area's are sectioned off by low walls topped with glass. Many odd machines and experiments can be observed.
	Desmond	gives Talum a small nod.
	Jacob	never being patient, enters to get a closer look.
	Dimitri	lets himself in and looks for Oak
	Alicia	confidently enters the building
	Jacob	rechecks his gloves are in place, covering the device on his right hand
	Reynard	Reynard takes a quick look for his surroundings. Noticing that nothing is out of the ordinary, he enters the building straight away.
	Talum	nods back to Desmond. It was a motion he'd seen before, one of acknowledgement. As the others let themselves in, he motions for the Poochyena and Murkrow to follow in their stead into the building. He glances back to Desmond just before following the others in.
	MrCompetition	All those who enter, see what I've already posted for dimitri
	MrCompetition	However, Oak himself is not immediately apparant
	Desmond	"Morning. I guess you're here for the job, too?"

	Talum	stops and turns to Desmond. "Job....Yes, that is what it has been called. Yes." He nods. "To fill the....Poh-kay-dex."
	Reynard	Reynard tries to stay away from the scientists, math and science bores him so he couldn't care less about what these brainiacs are doing
	Jacob	approaches a lab assistant. Good day, I believe we're all hear to see Professor Oak. Is he around?
	Desmond	scratches his pencil thin brown beard.
	Reynard	Instead, he observes what the other guys without lab coats are doing here, all seems as lost as he does in this place.
	Desmond	"Yeah, me too. Desmond Orange-pleased to meet you."
	Desmond	holds out a hand to shake.
	Talum	"Desmond....of the Orange. I am Talum of the Onida."
	Talum	extends his hand out and grips Desmond's, shaking it firmly.
	MrCompetition	Jacob: The assistant is obviously startled at being approached, nearly dropping the Rattata he has in a small cage. "Yes, I believe the Professor is near the back of the building in his workshop. Now if you'll excuse me....." and the poindexter will attempt to move around you
	Desmond	"Nice to meet you Talum. Also, Orange is a second name, not a place."
	Desmond	"I gather you're not from here?"
	Jacob	let's him move past
	MrCompetition	Reynard: Just about every conceivable type of test is being performed around the giant building. Rattatas in mazes, electric types hooked up to voltmeters, machines being tweaked
	Talum	"I come from the Leaf Forest, near....Janine and Koga's village."
	Talum	"Many days of travel from this place."
	MrCompetition	(I missed the part where you said *not wearing lab coats*)

	Desmond	stares into the sky for a moment.
	Desmond	"Anyway, we should get inside, yeah?"
	Talum	Shosko flutters his wings to lift upward, finding a perch on Talum's right shoulder. "Yes. The animals near here are far smaller than those near our village." He nods to Desmond. "It seems right. Let us go."
	Jacob	begins to idly look at the experiments, as he slowly makes his way to the back of the lab
	Alicia	, having overheard the assistant, strolls towards the back, glancing at the apparata

	Desmond	heads in alongside Talum, speaking..
	Reynard	Reynard approaches the girl who just busts into the building, and appears to know where to go
	Talum	the different Pokemon not native to his area intrigue him, causing him to pause and gaze at the Electric types. That coupled with this being the first time he'd been in a 'laboratory', the experience was a bit overwhelming as he continues, noticing Desmond at his side.
	Desmond	"Yeah, most pokemon who live around here are young. I think it's because this is a sort of safe ground to them-older pokemon don't make homes around here, to leave space for the new generation."
	Reynard	@Alicia "Hey, you're here to see Oak too, right? You know where he is?"
	Desmond	"Just a theory anyway. The idea of Pokemon Diplomacy isn't very popular in some circles."
	Alicia	"I heard one of the lab techs say he's towards the back."
	Talum	"Di-plo-mah-see. There are many words I am still unaware of. Janine tried to prepare me. I apologize."
	DrStraightLord	tags along silently with Desmond and Talum, since they seem to know where they're going
	Desmond	"No problem. Di-plo-macy is talking peace between two side."
	Reynard	"Alright, thanks. Let's go there then."
	Talum	"But yes, it is best for young ones to grow stronger before going on their great journey."

	Talum	nods to Desmond's explanation. "I see. I am diplomacy for my people and Pokemon, then. I understand now."
	Talum	continues to follow individuals towards the back of the lab as he talks.
	Desmond	"Heh-diplomacy is the act, and doing it would make one a Diplomat."
	Desmond	"Confusing, I can imagine."
	Talum	"Yes. You are a very knowing modern-man. I have learned much from this journey, and have yet to begin it. I thank you."
	Talum	Taimala sniffs at Desmond's pantlegs every now and then as they walk.
	MrCompetition	As you all make your way to the far side of the building, the little "rooms" start to take on more ordinary functions. Some are obviously offices, while another acts as a coffee room. Some have printers and copiers in them. Eventually you find yourselves in front of a frosted glass door that has a single work detailed in plain black. *Oak*
	Desmond	"Well, I know how hard it can be to adapt."
	Jacob	knocks lightly on the door
	Desmond	"I spent...some time away from everything modern. I found myself in the position you are in, so it's easy to emapathasize."
	MrCompetition	Stereotypical old man voice from beyond the door: "Come in, come in"
	Dimitri	lets himself in
	Talum	"There have been difficulties. The concept of...Po-kay-balls is different. It makes me quite angry, but Janine has taught me that it is to be accepted amongst the modern-men and modern-women."
	Talum	follows Dimitri along with the others as they enter.
	Desmond	does likewise.
	Jacob	enters
	Talum	Shosko: Krow.
	Desmond	"I know what you mean...I usually keep Sideswipe and Whiplash at my side, except when I'm meeting new people."
	MrCompetition	The inside of the room is lined with counters and cupboards. On one side a couple of workbenches filled with computer equipment can be seen. In the center is a desk piled with books and.... a chesse fondu fountain? Prof Oak is on the other side of the desk, dipping various fruits and veggies into said fountain before eating them.
	Alicia	enters Oak's office.
	MrCompetition	(Dam you typos! It's supposed to say *cheese fondu fountain* not *chesse fondu fountain*)
	Talum	gives a peculiar eyebrow raise at the fountain of yellow liquid before him. Is this part of the 'job' ceremony he was told about? Was is that?
	Talum	What*
	Alicia	stands speechless for a moment.
	Reynard	Reynard waits for the other guys to enter, then enters Oak's office
	Dimitri	"Erm..."
	Alicia	"...Can I have some of that?"
	MrCompetition	Oak: *munch munch* "No, it's imported, and I skipped breakfast"
	Jacob	"Uh, well, we're here. For the job."
	Talum	Taimala sniffs the air, the new scent of cheese attracting her attention. "Cheya"
	Jacob	"Sir" added hastily
	Reynard	"Yeah, what that guy said"
	MrCompetition	Oak: *munch* "The job....? Oh yes, the job!" He stands abruptly, almost knocking over his fountain of delicious cheese. "Come on over, the devices are ready"
	Alicia	"Aw... oh well."
	Desmond	"Morning Professor."
	Desmond	tips his hat.
	Alicia	then walks towards the professor, being careful not to touch the delicious cheese fountain
	Talum	"It is most honored to be before you again, Professor of the Oak."
	Talum	nods to the Professor before advancing with the others.
	Jacob	"Sorry to have interrupted your meal, Professor."
	Dimitri	excitedly runs up to Oak's desk. "Can I just say I'm a huge fan right now, Professor Oak sir? Also, sorry about interrupting your... fondue break."
	MrCompetition	Oak: "Ah yes, Evening. No, you said morning, so it's daylight again? Anyways, the Pokedexes! And the contracts, can't forget those this time. Can't just give incredible science to youngsters and expect them to get anything done with it, can you? No, tried that before, and so did those thieving copycats. They wouldn't even share what they found! But this time....." As he mutters, Oak pulls...
	MrCompetition	...out various papers and devices and arranges them before him.
	Jacob	begins to scan the papers
	Alicia	looks over the stuff, not bothering to read the papers with much detail
	Dimitri	looks over the pile of devices with a twinkle in his eye
	Talum	stares at the paper before them. He can piece together most of it, but overall is a bit confused of the paper's purpose.
	Desmond	just looks for where to sign...
	Reynard	Reynard makes sure his name is properly spelled, then immediately looks to where he shold sign
	Reynard	"Um, anyone got a pen?"
	Alicia	"Nope!"
	Talum	glances about. Is there anything that would seem to look like a pen nearby?
	MrCompetition	Several pens go flying from the drawers Oak is shuffling through. Some even make it to the top of the desk....
	Dimitri	"Convenient."
	Alicia	grabs one of the pens
	Dimitri	does the same
	Reynard	"Most excellent. Thanks, Prof."
	Talum	Taimala fetches one of the pens that found its way to the floor and brings it to Talum's hand. "Thank you, Taimala."
	Jacob	grabs a pen, still carefully reading the document
	Talum	does his best to sign his name. The font is very....stiff as he carefully draws each line of each letter. It seemed to be the way everyone else was doing it.
	Alicia	looks over at the guy with his Pokémon already out quizzically
	MrCompetition	To those interested in reading the contracts, they simply state that Oak will the the below signed X dollars for X pokemon scanned with his new Pokedex. The below signed will also attempt to locate and scan new pokemon for as long as they possess the new pokedex. There are some other legal niceties, but that is the meat and bones of it.
	Dimitri	looks excitedly through the papers for where to sign
	Talum	looks back with a blank stare.
	Reynard	grabs one of the pen, finally found where he should sign the paper, and give his trademark signature.
	Alicia	looks at someone else's paper, finds the blank, and signs, finally getting it
	Dimitri	signs his name on his paper
	Jacob	Finally finished reading, he signs, a careful looping signature
	Desmond	signs his name in loopy handwriting.
	Talum	"It is done, Oak."
	Talum	firmly plants the pen onto the paper.
	Dimitri	"Here you, Mr. Professor Sir!"
	Alicia	holds the paper out with one hand
	MrCompetition	Oak looks up from his frantic searching with a surprised look on his face. "You all signed already? But I had a speech..." He shakes his head and starts collecting the papers and his pens. "Thank you all for agreeing to do this. You are helping an old man complete his dream at long last."
	Reynard	"Okay, this part's finished. Anything else, Prof?"
	Dimitri	holds out his paper for Oak
	Jacob	"It all looks pretty basic, signed"
	MrCompetition	After putting the papers in a file, he motions at the various gadgets on the table. "These are Pokedexes, except for that, that's my fondu fountain. I'm sure most of you are already familiar with their function. However, these are special."
	Dimitri	"How so?"
	Reynard	"Special how?"
	Jacob	picks up one of the Pokedexes and examines it closely
	MrCompetition	Oak: "Unlike the.... imitations made by my fellow researchers, these ones use a universal format for data that allows it to be easily copied from one device to another."
	Talum	looks at the devices set before them. He doesn't have a clue of a Poh-kay-dex's function, let alone what a fon-doo fountain did exactly.
	Dimitri	"Cool..."
	Desmond	notices Talums look of confusion.
	Jacob	"So, we could share our data between ourselves?"
	Alicia	"Sounds neat. Are you sure you're not making this too easy?"
	Dimitri	picks up one of the dexes
	MrCompetition	Oak: "After learning just how many different species we've identified already, I've also given them a significant hardware boost in comparision to previous generations of the pokedex. They are more durable and have a stronger battery, as well as a larger storage ability"
	Desmond	"Look Talum-it's sort of like a book, but electronic...you just point it at a pokemon, and...wala."
	Desmond	scans Talums Poocheyna
	Talum	picks up one of the Poh-kay-dexes. He glances to Desmond as he ....points something at Taimala and swats it away!
	Talum	*SWAT*
	MrCompetition	Oak: "Yes, ah, Jacob, was it? These share a radio connection with each other. When you are within about 100 ft. of eachother, your pokedexes will sync their data"
	Talum	"What is the meaning of this!?"
	Dimitri	"Sounds like the full package."
	Desmond	"It's harmless, I assure you. Let's try it on one of my own pokemon, first."
	Alicia	looks at Talum quizzically again
	Talum	settles down...slowly. His eyes are narrowed, but watches Desmond's demonstration quietly.
	MrCompetition	Oak: "I've even gone a step further. They all have minesweeper installed!"
	Dimitri	"YES."
	Reynard	"What, not solitaire instead?"
	Desmond	releases Rufflet from his pokeball. *ZOP*
	MrCompetition	(Note: The pokedexes are in just about every shape and form. Classic to watch, so you can pick and choose which style you want)
	Desmond	[Rufflet] hops around excitedly.
	Desmond	"Stand still a moment, Whiplash..."
	Talum	's eyes go wide as he sees the small Pokemon. The feather adorned on his headband, one of a Braviary, denotes his familiarity with the baby bird.
	Desmond	points and scans Rufflet with the pokedex.
	Talum	"Be...still, Taimala."
	Jacob	"Interesting. Automatically updating your information is quite handy. Does it keep track of which Pokedex recorded what information?"
	Talum	copies Desmond's motion with his Pokedex, pointed at Taimala.
	MrCompetition	Oak's face saddens a little. "I suppose I could get solitaire on them....... but isn't that game rather boring?"
	Alicia	"Come on out... Afterburner!"
	Alicia	calls her Growlithe
	MrCompetition	Oak: "Sort of, they keep track of if they recieved the scan themselves or via the sync. All scans also have a timestamp for my personal research."
	Jacob	"Huh, interesting." He point his pokedex towards the Growlithe
	Reynard	"Yeah, pretty much all games get boring after a while. Don't worry, I don't mind Minesweeper...well, enough playing, I don't want to fall behind what the rest are doing."
	Talum	sees a picture of Taimala right in the Pokedex!
	Reynard	"Stella, you're up."
	Talum	"We are to collect....encounters with the rest of the Poh-kay-mon. That is our job?"
	Reynard	sends out Sneasel
	Dimitri	"Let me try this out..."
	Alicia	immediately scans every Pokémon in the room
	Reynard	"Alright, that's what this guy did..."
	Dimitri	sends out Shade and begins scanning him
	Desmond	[Rufflet] hops up on Desmonds left shoulder.
	Reynard	points pokedex in the direction of Sneasel
	Talum	"Shosko, please be still by Taimala, so I may.... Poh-kay-dex you."
	MrCompetition	Oak: "That is correct Talum. And I have the initial payment I told you all about right here" He spreads what look like charge cards out on his table. "I'll use these to send you your payments"
	Reynard	"Awesome, props on making it so simple Prof. Alright, you come out too then Jason."
	Reynard	sends out Mankey
	Talum	Shosko flutters down beside Taimala, looking up to Talum. "Krow!" Talum points the device at him and scans, his picture coming up too!
	Reynard	scans every other Pokemon in the room
	Talum	nobody else is stopping others from scanning, so proceeds to scan the others. Each of the others, besides Whiplash, is new to his sights.
	Alicia	"Go, Avenger!:
	Reynard	"Wow, so many different pokemon...I'm bored of seeing fighting pokemon back in the gym"
	Desmond	"Same with you Sideswipe."
	Alicia	sends out her Cubone
	Jacob	scans the other pokemon $0"Go Winch"
	Dimitri	sends out Flavia next to dex, and begins scanning the rest of the pokes in the room. Shade begins eyeing the fondue pot
	Desmond	sends out Meowth *ZOP*
	Desmond	[Meowth] sees all the scanning going on and poses cutely.
	Alicia	continues scanning Pokémon as more are released
	Talum	Taimala begins sniffing the Meowth curiously. Its scent is new to her.
	Jacob	The Heracross stands, looking somewhat shy around so many strangers
	MrCompetition	Oak: "I'm glad your so enthusiastic, but it's starting to get a little crowded in here..... and I'm paying you all for the exact same scans...... so if you could take this outside the building?"
	Desmond	[Meowth] grins ferally and scratches Talum lightly across the bridge of his nose before scampering away...
	Talum	Taimala: Poooch!?
	Jacob	"Ah yes... it appears we have gotten carried away."
	Desmond	"Probably for the best..."
	Talum	growls lightly, watching the Meowth scamper away.
	Jacob	"Winch, come on, let's go"
	Talum	Taimala growls*
	Desmond	recalls them both, giving sideswipe a disapproving grin. *ZIP, ZOP*
	Jacob	the Heracross sticks close to Jacob as he makes his way out. " It was nice to meet you Professor"
	Talum	Taimala looks around, confused of the cat's disappearance.
	Alicia	"All right, all right... Come on, guys!"
	Desmond	"Sorry about that Talum-Sideswipe is a bit of a troublemaker..."
	Alicia	(Afterburner and Avenger follow behind Alicia as she leaves the office.)
	Talum	"Ease, Taimala. It is okay. He is of Desmond's kind."
	Dimitri	recalls his pokemon

	Reynard	sees Sneasel landing on the table, and immediately recalls her and Mankey back to avoid any problems
	Talum	"He is proud to see us doing this!"
	Desmond	@Alicia "I don't believe we've been introduced, Ms...?"
	Jacob	"I think it was more of a personal choice than a requirement."
	Alicia	"Alicia."

	Talum	goes quiet as he looks at Alicia.

	Jacob	A Togetic starts flying around Jacob's head in tight circles

	Dimitri	"It's a togetic, a flying pokemon said to bring happiness."

	MrCompetition	As you all leave the lab, you can see that the sky is still bright and the air is still clean. No apocalypse occured while you were inside..... at least not today. Where shall our intrepid adventurers go? What shall they do? Or is the Togetic that interesting?
	Jacob	"Oh, just along the road her a few days ago."
