Captain P Reborn Backstory

Captain P began her life as a peridot, different from the others, she was unable to do most things peridots could do but was uniquely gifted in spaceship building and mechanical engineering. Unknown to her superiors however she was also gifted in the force which led to her fleeing homeworld after her powers were discovered and she was slated for recycling. She drifted far away from her homeworld, finding herself in various bars, alleyways, and places others wouldn't dare tread and learned a thing or two from her scraps and experiences. She never understood her powers until she was found by her master. Being abandoned and tossed aside by her diamond for the crime of being aberrant, being imperfect is still something that weighs heavily on her even if she tries to ignore it.

A mandalorian jedi who had been trained in secret by the shadows from the rest of the order, he left the order in disgust at the beginning of the clone wars and hid among the mandalorians for years afterwards. He found her in a bar and took her on as an apprentice after watching her pin a criminal to the bar. Together, they rebuilt a ship found in a junkyard and P even found out that she had a thing for repairing robots and rebuilt an R6 unit from scrap. Together they traveled the galaxy, her master teaching her everything he knew about combat and the jedi way. For a time, she was happy and learned how to trust and enjoy life again as she learned of combat and the force from her master.

This peace would not last however as sith inquisitors soon picked up on their trail, for years they fled, hopping from world to world as the galactic civil war raged around them. She and her master were clever and knew how to hide but...that was not enough to keep them safe for long. Eventually they were found on a jungle planet and her master knew their time was up. He gave her his lightsaber and told her to run to the ship and flee, that he would hold off their pursuers in the meantime. She wanted to stay, she wanted to help fight too but her master insisted that she go and survive, that he had taught her all that she needed to know and even if she had questions he had left his holocron on the ship. She gritted her teeth as she fled, only looking back to see and feel a great presence approach her master, a man clad in all black, more machine than human with a deep sense of overwhelming rage and hatred coursing through him, undercut by a deeper sorrow she could feel. She ran, ran as fast as she could and managed to make it to her ship in time and take off, entering hyperspace before her position could be locked onto.

With that, she hid, she hid in a way where she was never found until the empire fell, now she travels the galaxy alone. She works as a smuggler and engineer for hire, hopping from world to world and living paycheck to paycheck in whatever way she can. She feels hollow, empty, and feels regret over her master. With the fall of the empire and the gem homeworld becoming a part of the new republic, maybe she can fill that void and find a place to call home once more.
