BACKGROUND:

since childhood, hyojin has had a broken childhood. growing up hearing endless fights with her parents was hard, and definitely left a scar of hyojin’s heart. by the the time she was eight, her parents had divorced, and hyojin was forced to live with her mother. it was suffocating, especially when her mother had forced dreams onto hyojin that she didn’t want, such as being a doctor or lawyer. she understood her mother’s desperate situation of wanting her daughter to grow up and be successful, but it was tiring for hyojin. when hyojin began to grow a love for photography, her mother had quickly rejected it, which made hyojin completely explode. she was barely fifteen, but she had made it her goal to annoy and disappoint her mother in every way possible, making her some sort of rebel.

PERSONALITY:

sensitive--
after all she has gone through, you would’ve thought that hyojin would be tough. in some ways, she really is, but deep inside she knows how sensitive she can be. although she might look like she doesn’t care for what others think of her, on the inside she secretly does care and is often hurt by criticism.

defensive--
because she knows how sensitive she can sometimes be, hyojin is extremely defensive. whether it’s someone trying to talk to her or straight up criticism, hyojin is quick to come up with snarky remarks to protect herself emotionally.

cold--
emotionless. that’s one word many use to describe hyojin. she doesn’t really express her emotions or thoughts at all, and rarely gives a reaction in many situations. people who don’t know her well might think that she gives zero fucks about anyone other than herself, but it really isn’t the case. hyojin just isn’t good at showing people that she cares, and she has given up on trying to.

quickwitted--
surprisingly, hyojin is extremely smart, whether it be in school or streetwise. although she never studies for exams or anything school related, her grades are still great, which angers a lot of her fellow classmates. she also is quick to catch onto things happening around her and to find solutions to the simpliest problems.

loyal--
hyojin has very few people she’s close with, but if you ever manage to get up to that level, you will realize how loyal hyojin is. she absolutely hates losing close friends, especially after trying her best to be supportive and a good friend (in her own special way)

- with her mother, hyojin acts cold, as well as pretending to not care. she lowkey hates her mother with a passion, and does anything that goes against her mother’s rules. on the other hand, with her father, hyojin simply does not care at all. she hasn’t seen him since she was ten, and it was right before he decided to run away from his duties of joint custody.

WHY THEY HATE THEM ?
- as it was stated before, hyojin’s mother is too suffocating, too forceful. hyojin has a hard time being herself and doing things she loves due to her mother’s strict rules and dreams that hyojin really does not want to achieve.
