  1. Guide to making Dosh.
  2.
  3. So you want to know how the hell to make money in ancient china? Well, lets assume you already know the difference between bound and unbound money, so we'll get straight to business.
  4.
  5. *Pick up all the gathering skills and pick a crafting skill.
  6. Depending what your crafting skill is determines what all you can do as far as money making goes, but with farming and hunting you should have enough in the way of gathering skills to get by.
  7.
  8. *I wanna kill animals!
  9. Welp, if you want to spend hours hunting down bear asses all the power to you. Start with the Dogs in southern Luoyang. Starting at your first rank in hunter they drop Dog Skin, which sells for around 80-100 Wen easily. The higher your hunting skill is, the more of them drop. You can do this off the bat as a hunter.
  10.
  11. After a few days of this, you can head to Scholar's around the official stage coach. There is a strip of beach that has monkeys hanging around. They drop Monkey Skin which sells for around 180-200 Wen each. The catch is these sell slower, are farmed heavily, and the mobs themselves are actually pretty damn tough.
  12.
  13. Also you can try your hand getting Ox Bones. You need to have a moderately high rank of Hunting for this, but find the "Urus" mobs at the Tangmen area, right near the stagecoach. These things die insanely fast and have a low chance of dropping ox bones if you are high enough level. These are worth between 300-400 Wen each, but the drop rate is low.
  14.
  15. *I just wanna slave away in the fields all day.
  16. Three main things you should be farming are wheat, Ramie, and Newly hatched silk. Wheat on it's own is worth jack shit - maybe 25 Wen if someone is lazy and wants to buy. However it is turned into Steamed buns by a chef which goes for 50-100 wen each depending on your location. Ramie sells for around 60 Wen normally and newly hatched silk goes for close to 100 Wen. The best place to farm silk worms is in Yanjing, to the south near the Dongfang place. There is a section that has about 9 trays that are normally empty. Be careful though, Goons hang around the area.
  17.
  18. *I'm a master race tailor, how do I get people to throw money at me?
  19. Tailors have it damn easy. You can make bags and sell them for 5-10L depending on the type. Also, you can break down wood gear and get Flax thread. Combine this with Mint from a herbalist for Medicine Cloth. This is used in crafting upgrades and goes for a solid 150 wen each. You can combine Goat Fur from mobs in Evil Man's valley, and Coarse Cloth from any human mob and create Wood gear you can either break down yourself, or sell for 2 Liang or so.
  20.
  21. Also you can make Guazhou Green from Ramie and Newly hatched silk. The silk takes forever to get, but the Guazhou Green sells for about 300-400 Wen each pretty easily.
  22.
  23. *I wanna make money dealing in that dank herb, how do herbalist make their dosh?
  24. Well, people do buy decent pills - but the market is normally all over the place, even on Blue Dragon. However you can farm Plight Flower in Tangmen and sell it for 250-300 Wen fairly easily. Also you can farm up mint, which is abundant in Jiming Posthouse. There is a great place to the North West, three nodes are very close to each other, and you can move in a triangle picking each one. They first will normally respawn by the time you finish the third and get back to it. You can sell this stuff for 50-75 Wen each.
  25.
  26. The best thing to do with mint though, is combine it with Flax thread for medicine cloth, as I mentioned above. Only herbalist can pick mint, but you can break down any wood gear without being a tailor - so anyone can get flax thread. Once again, medicine cloth is worth about 150 wen each on the market.
  27.
  28. *So I'm a chef bro, cooking for the guild. There's gotta be a way for me to make lodesawen right?
  29. Sorry, not really. We all love our chef bros, but they have it rough. The price of steamed buns is always all over the place. If you can plop down 250L, buy the recipe for Nine Turns Pork. It makes food that increases move speed by 14% for an hour and is the most wanted food out there. It sells from between 400-600 wen each. The market is normally saturated with the stuff, but folks normally buy it in bulk - like 50-100 units at a time. It's probably your best bet for making money as a chef, but it requires an investment.
  30.
  31. *Fuck crafting and shit. I wanna make money from running instances.
  32. Farm goosestep in TV. It goes for about 700L nowadays. Also run Baodo Stronghold. It's a pretty easy instance, and Demon Born in Emptiness drops from it. It's an amazingly useful pull skill that EVERYONE should have. It normally sells for about 70L on the market. You can run Baodo 6 times a day, and TV 6-7 times a week (I can't recall off the top of my head how many).
  33.
  34. Those are the easiest methods to make money. Remember that you can buy a book for each gathering skill that doubles how much your yield is when you harvest a node. It costs 100L for 1 month and is definitely worth it. Also remember, many nodes can be harvested up to 3 times.
  35.
  36. Finally, all this stuff is for Blue Dragon. If you didn't listen and rolled one of the other servers, your prices will be all over the damn place. That's what you get.
