- Mystery-4 has been delivered to the firing pad.
- "Don't you have any reservations climbing aboard the same capsule that killed Jebediah?" An interviewer had asked--and with so much to talk about in the space program, Valentina *was* finally able to make appearances in media.
- "It wasn't the rocket, it was the parachute. We now have a pretty good idea of exactly what went wrong and how to prevent it happening again. My spacecraft has much better fuel margins so I'll almost certainly be able to slow down before reentry, and with the drogue chutes we tested on the Duet capsules, the same parachute failure is unlikely."
- "Great media answer but what about your own feelings?" The interviewer asked.
- "What are you, my therapist?"
- Valentina is a little more serious than usual as she boards the capsule.
- Mystery-4 has removed much of the scientific equipment from the previous design, replacing it with more rocket fuel. There's also an additional pair of small motors on the second stage. The mapping camera from Mystery-3 turned out to require more electrical power than was available, and so has been removed, pending a method to generate electricity.
