  13. Good to hear from you. I've been watching your videos lately though haven't commented. There are times when I don't know how you are managing to carry on.

  15. In a recent 12 minute video of yours which is posted here (an excerpt from the longer debate): watch?v=_-rOQDEKI4I at around 9m0s you bring up a point which I think has to do with "sufficient proof" (and its absence).

  21. In your example you point out that people like "Plato" and pals - if you look into them - cannot be found to exist. Not in a certain way.

  23. But yet most would feel certain they were real people - "We have their writings don't we?!" _Well, not quite._

  25. This gets to a point I have been relentlessly hammering away at for over a year and has fallen on deaf ears - save for a disfigured handful of people.

  27. Without sufficient proof (that which *necessarily proves* an event or claim to be true and real) all belief *in an event or claim* has been founded and formed on *trust* and accepting *the appearances of proof in place of [actual] proof*.

  31. Ordinarily we go through our day trusting many things that have not been "sufficiently proven". When we remotely lock our car we don't rush over to manually check it worked - we trust the beeps. _It's enough to *trust* the beeps._

  33. We can trust the beeps because the beeps come from an honest system. The beeps do not lie.

  35. Trust becomes a problem when people are trusting liars - _and we are *clearly* in a lie system._

  37. Everything we believe that has been presented to us as true and real which lacks sufficient proof - [this is - admittedly - a huge number of things] - *has come to us by way of charming and charismatic story tellers*.

  39. When people trust liars there can be vast numbers of folk who panic about the planet being wiped out by an asteroid - all because a charming scumbag by the name of "Neil deGrasse Tyson" has suggested it. (And so on.)

  41. People can believe massive lizards roamed the Earth called dinosaurs - all because they are shown "bones" arranged in the shape of a large animal. Bones which they have never personally handled or examined.

  43. Whether "dinosaurs" did or did not exist - I don't know. I grew up encouraged to believe they did.

  45. The fact a person does not ask to personally examine the bones is a kind of "trust test". If you aren't asking - it means you trust.

  48. (Yes - it would be impractical and impossible to demand to personally test everything for yourself. That is one of the benefits of telling lots of stories to people who trust you. They can't possibly check everything and so they have no urge to check anything. Though we would only need to test one thing and find it false to cause doubt in the others.)

  51. From birth we train ourselves to trust liars and to accept the appearances of proof in place of proof itself.

  53. By the time we are adults we are all skilled at this and don't even notice we're doing it. We're also utterly dependent and at the mercy of liars.

  55. To "deprogram" oneself really means to question all that has not been sufficiently proven - and to be cautious about any further claims that are not sufficiently proven. (Find and stop the bleeding.)

  57. And to never *ever* assert as a fact about reality that which you cannot sufficiently prove. *Every advocate of the flat Earth is guilty of that crime* (just as guilty are all who assert the opposite).

  59. And to "deprogram" means to be suspicious - _if not also *antagonistic*_ - when an event or claim is made where sufficient proof *can exist but is intentionally not shown*.

  61. Take the recent alleged shooting of "Christina Grimmie" - I haven't seen one photo or genuine "eye witness" speak. Yet everyone is convinced it happened!

  67. That's the power trust has over us. *When we trust someone and can imagine their claim to be true _we become powerless to resist believing_*.

  71. It would seem the definition of an "eyewitness" has been corrupted and now means "anyone who was allegedly nearby and can repeat what they heard from someone else!"

  77. A point nearly all [honest] "conspiracy theorists"/"truthers" miss is that *the absence of sufficient proof does not mean an event or claim is therefore false or did not happen*.

  79. Just because "NASA" can be thought of as being full of sh!t does not mean the Earth is flat. Just because the "ISS" footage does not stand up to scrutiny does not mean there are not little men and women living, breathing, eating and sh!tting in a magic floating tin toilet.

  81. Just because we have no "primary evidence" for "Plato" does not mean he did not exist. But given its absence *we are not justified in believing he did* - _much less assert it as a fact about reality._

  83. When in a lie system it is not wise to hand over one's trust!

  85. We have no right to believe these things. If asked about them we must say: _"I don't have an opinion!"_ And resist choosing a side we feel is correct (based on our knowledge and experience).

  87. The lie system is forever tempting "normal people" to pick a side. Flat or Round. Hoax or Real.

  89. To be neutral - to be "on the fence" - to be genuinely sceptical - is often frowned upon but _that_ is to be a dissident!

  91. And to reject events and claims for the _right reasons only_ is to be a genuine dissident!
