  5. “No,” he shook his head. “As a reflection of oaths taken, the miracle should not be able to hurt anything living.”

  7. Well, that was something. From the way the fences had cut straight through hooks and rope, I’d have to assume it could wreck armour and fortifications if they hit at the right angle. That was… problematic. We’d raised the palisades in the first place because we needed them as an equalizer for crusader numbers. If they could just cut them down at will, that measure was gone.
