  1. "Three PM. Flower fields south of Danarium. Bring your weapon. It's time for a rematch."
  2.
  3. The letter was delivered anonymously to Alexander's doorstep. How Rosaline had gotten his address was another story, but for now, it was time to fight! Rosaline's blood was boiling with intensity tenfold. Excitement made up nearly every fiber of her being!
  4.
  5. She was going to show this Melym-wannabe true power.
  6.
  7. In the flower fields she stood, waiting patiently for his arrival. Her feet never did touch the ground -- she hovered barely over the flowers, as if gravity was null on her. Flames bit and swirled at her frame, and the wind refused to settle beneath her floating feet.
  8.
  9. But what was most important was what hung at her right side. Consuming her arm was a beautiful, raging thing! Layering overtop of the metal of her gauntlet was a mold of flames and winds, merged together in waves of deadly, burning hot potency. Her hand was made up of the claw of some beast, strikingly large and deadly to the touch. It flexed with her fingers, moved by her mana's powerful thrall.
  10. (Rosaline Floures)
  11. Alexander would wake up one particular morning, walking outside. At his doorstep, he'd notice something - a letter that seemed to be for him! He'd have to answer to it of course - suiting up after his day went by. It was time to go see the challenger! Confident as he was, he was pretty sure it had something to do with the crescent rings. It could be Weiss, or Cain, or anyone!
  12.
  13. Suiting up, a mask donned upon his face, the masked Boreas would walk towards the flower fields - his expression rather confused. He was pretty unsure as to why the fight was to take place here, but, whatever! He'd bring his stave - allowing it to rest upon his back for the time being as he made his way there.
  14.
  15. Upon getting there he'd notice the girl, and the claw that she had. He had some ideas as to what it could be, a mold of sorts of fire and wind together. "Ifrit's claw..?" He'd ask - soon standing infront of the Floures. "I didn't know you had the scrolls for it, huh.." He'd continue, trailing off. "Aren't you supposed to be in the Avis?" He'd continue on, a barrage of questions towards the Floures!
  16. (Alexander Boreas)
  17. Rosaline was grinning. She couldn't help but laugh! She had Ifrit's Claw! She was finally practicing it, after so long! It flexed and twisted at her side, but she did not strike. Not yet.
  18.
  19. "I didn't have the scrolls. Your queen wanted me to serve in the Glacium in order to get them, but once I was done, there was no way in hell I'd be staying here... abandonment is death, isn't it? I'm not sacrificing my life for something I could make up myself."
  20.
  21. The claw rose to move towards her chin, barely touching in a mimic of her trademark chin-tap.
  22.
  23. "The Avis is another story... Let's just say I'm through with them." The claw moved back to her side in a violent motion, flurrying with a trail of flames through the air! "Come on, we're not here to talk."
  24.
  25. "Fight me, Alex."
  26. (Rosaline Floures)
  27. The masked Boreas seemed to watch the swordswoman very closely, as if she could burst at him any moment - especially with the claw that she seemed to possess. It was potent, powerful, and deadly, to his own knowledge.. He'd have to tread carefully.
  28.
  29. "Well, I guess that's pretty cool then. I have the notes for storm magic in the tower, accessible whenever I want, but I don't think I'll be learning the magic!" He'd say - chuckling. His words seemed to be mumbled - the raven mask that he wore muffling his words somewhat.
  30.
  31. "I'm not really sure if abandonment is death, but I'll find out if I wasn't to attend the blue moon festival.." He'd say - before pausing. "I'm not really sure why you'd leave the Avis, but that's really your choice.." He'd say, tapping his own chin in response. But the one thats on the mask and stuff. "Well, I guess we should fight then.." He'd say - summoning up his water aura.
  32.
  33. He'd start off with a barrage of bullets - composed of bubbles and stuff. Ice would dance around in it too I guess. It seemed pretty moderate!
  34. (Alexander Boreas)
  35. It appeared Rosaline was too cocky! His attacks took her off guard, shredding into her armor and sending her skidding a few feet back, onto her feet. She frowned, offering herself some criticism.
  36.
  37. "You took me off guard. I need to pay attention more," she offered -- was she being humble? The claw flared, and with speed unrivaled, she charged forward, claw flaring and looking to strike! In her other hand, her rapier was brandished, shimmering and with flames of it's own!
  38.
  39. "I left the Avis because Tilandre is going down in flames!" she cried mid-air, "The temple of Kraus has been torn down and replaced with a building dedicated to their stupid moon god, all set in stone with bloodshed unrivaled! They slit the throats of an innumerable amount of people, and the leader, the one with the horns, openly announced his resent for humans!"
  40.
  41. Woosh! With that, she finally reached Alexander again, her claw moving to attempt to strike at him!
  42. (Rosaline Floures)
  43. Alexander would grin behind his mask - his expression seeming emotionless due to the article he wore. But you could see that it was gently rattling - chuckling heard from it as she offered and the like.
  44.
  45. For a moment, you could see the full green of his eyes emitting from the mask - fear coming forth from him! He didn't know how fast this woman was until she was there, the boy becoming quite.. Scared, really. But he had to try and be faster, quickly taking to the air himself.
  46.
  47. It didn't matter how close she tried to get this time - Alexander would jump into the air, sending forth a blast of air! It'd continue off with a twister, the boy quickly backing up to make space. "Close one!" He'd remark - quickly grasping his staff as he'd whip it forwards in a smacking motion - a blast of holy magic going forwards!
  48. (Alexander Boreas)
  49. Alex managed to keep out of her way, most of the time! Every time she got close enough to strike at him with her gravity-empowered, flaming claw, he seemed to burst away with his winds! Frustration was evident as Rosaline floated around, searching desperately for an opening...
  50.
  51. She managed to avoid his winds, his barrages of ice and holy magic, but in her blind spot came a blast of holy magic! She barely spotted it out of the corner of her eye, but it was growing desperately close!
  52.
  53. She had to move now, or...! WHAM!
  54.
  55. Out of the air Rosaline fell, impacted by a blast of holy magic because fuck agility, Trent keeps rolling better than me!!!!! A frustrated grunt escaped her lips as she rose, claw flaring now with power tenfold...
  56.
  57. Gravity suddenly impacted Alexander, dragging him towards her! She shambled forward, hopefully quicker on her feet than he could get away! Claw and sword raised, she moved to hopefully strike at him! Maybe just once!
  58.
  59. Please?
  60. (Rosaline Floures)
  61.
  62. Alexander seemed to be fighting with a rather different way that usual - instead of barrages of his usual spells, the masked man attempted to keep distance and strike quickly. He knew Rosaline's strength - only having beaten her last time due to the rings making her extremely weak.. But he wanted to prevail this ti--
  63.
  64. Suddenly, Alexander would find himself being pulled towards Rosaline, the boy only having one solution - Momentum! He'd call forth a mass of water - a giant rose-shaped cluster of ice appearing behind him. It almost seemed to be ready to slam into Rosaline after she'd hit Alex with her things, but it really wasn't gonna do that.
  65.
  66. Hit with both sword and claw - a very loud grunt of pain seemed to resound from the mask as the ice seemed to shatter immediately - returning to the air as moisture.
  67.
  68. "DAMN!" He'd say aloud - preparing for the next strike..!
  69. (Alexander Boreas)
  70. Alexander's recovering barrage of magic is quick to strike her out of the air and onto her feet, but the Floures is resilient. Years upon years of countless training was enough to prove this.
  71.
  72. The sound of flames roaring grows louder as gravity's pull on Alex grows stronger and stronger, almost as if his center of gravity was Rosaline herself! Every time he gets close, she strikes, or at least attempts to, and finally, with a burst forward of wind, she gets close enough to close the gap...!
  73.
  74. If only he would quit moving! Once more, Rosaline makes an attempt to strike, this time with her claw only... if it were to hit, Alexander would surely FEEL THE BURN!!!!
  75. (Rosaline Floures)
  76.
  77. fuck your rolls jen
  78.
  79. Alexander would quickly notice that he was being controlled by Rosaline's gravity - having near to no control over it himself! His armor seemed to be suffering types of damage, the Boreas quite frustrated. He had to try and get out of this somehow - suddenly noticing that Rosaline was right up close now.
  80.
  81. The claw seemed to make impact - sizzling and hissing, what have you, rattling against his armor in a rather unpleasant manner. But he had to keep going - closing his eyes as he'd summon forth his holy magic, a quick heal given off to him. He'd have to keep going though, or this was gonna be bad.
  82.
  83. Alexander would try and break the gravity - summoning forth his entire arcana. Water, wind, ice, and holy magic would seem to flurry around him - a burst given off as he'd use it to make a large, large gap between them...
  84.
  85. "Okay! That's ENOUGH!" He'd speak - twirling his stave. "My armor's gonna break soon I think, and I'm just really exhausted from it.." He'd say - trailing off.
  86. (Alexander Boreas)
  87.
  88. eat my ass trent
  89.
  90. Rosaline's feet hit the ground and she sheathed her sword. Her claw dissipated, fizzling away into air and tiny embers, revealing her armored arm.
  91.
  92. "Fine," she said, huffing quite a bit! That was an intense battle, resulting in a tie between both of them... but there was no doubt in Rosaline's mind: she woudl have won if it weren't for Alexander's cheap ass Glacium armor.
  93.
  94. Her hand rose to wipe beads of sweat from her brow.
  95.
  96. "One day, I'll beat you. I'll give you that."
  97. (Rosaline Floures)
