- <Cliven> [Last time! Spieardars! Now... Loot!]
- * [BNS]Mina looks back at the tunnel that they just emerged from
- * [Rut]Janie is in the way. She grins.
- <Cliven> [With the exception of the passing spider or two, the halls look safe again but more importanly the nice shiny things in the small room there.]
- * [BNS]Mina turns back to the objects, walking up to them to examine them...
- <[Rut]Janie> Wow! Wow, wow, wow!
- * [Rut]Janie struggles to get past Mina and take a closer look.
- <[BNS]Mina> Hey! Stop shoving!
- <[BNS]Mina> There's plenty of room!
- * [Rut]Janie trots up to the fresh find.
- <[Rut]Janie> Wowie! Mina, look, look!
- <Cliven> [There are two floating bracelet of sorts, they are an exact replicate of each other, embroidered with fine leather and jewels.]
- <[Rut]Janie> REAL skeletons!
- * [BNS]Mina facepalms
- <[BNS]Mina> I... really don't want to think about that.
- <Cliven> [However upon closer inspection, there is a finely adorned sword embedded in the chest of one and an odd hook-like weapon that is dilodged in the skull, there is also an old decrepit note written on the body of the skeleton with the sword.]
- <[Rut]Janie> Don't you wanna touch it, though~?
- * [Rut]Janie takes one of them by the wrist and waves it's hand at Mina.
- * [BNS]Mina is busy inspecting the bracelets...
- <[Rut]Janie> Heehee, hellooo~! Wait, there's a note. Whatcha got there, Mister Bones?
- * [Rut]Janie examines the note on the sword-carrying skeleton.
- <Cliven> [The note says... "The damn princess isn't here either. All I got was this cheap ass hookshot and some lame-ass sword, whoever reads this note. Its all yours- "Disgruntled Elven Adventurer Lin---*the rest is torn off*.]
- <Cliven> [The bracelets just floats there, it beckons you Mina...]
- * [BNS]Mina takes one of the bracelets and takes a better look at it
- * [Rut]Janie takes a look at the former-elf's gear.
- <Cliven> [The Bracelet if equipped, seems to fit your wrist perfectly, though other than its intricate design it seems to have no effect on you as of the moment. The Swords and hookshot however, they look as if they were never touched by time, they seemed... new.]
- * [Rut]Janie picks the hookshot up... very slowly, and with much emphasis... and thrusts it up over her head!
- * [BNS]Mina puts the bracelet on, admiring how it looks
- * [BNS]Mina looks over at Janie
- <[BNS]Mina> ...what are you doing?
- <[Rut]Janie> I found--... gee, I don't know what this is.
- * [BNS]Mina spots the sword behind Janie and is instantly intriguied
- <[BNS]Mina> Whoa... what's that?
- * [BNS]Mina walks over to the skeleton and delicately removes the sword from its chest, trying to take care not to touch the gross bones.
- <Cliven> [The sword is much heavier than your bokken but it's to be expected due the metal used, but its light enough that even a certain little girl can use it with some minor practice.]
- <[BNS]Mina> Wow... a real sword...
- * [BNS]Mina 's eyes are filled with stars
- * [Rut]Janie is fiddling with the thing she found.
- <[BNS]Mina> ...but I really don't want to have to carry this thing around like this...
- <Cliven> [Janie accidentally presses one of the buttons that shoots out hook, it nearly hits Mina, grazing her hair just mere inches from the skull.]
- <[Rut]Janie> Wah!!
- * [BNS]Mina freezes in place
- <[BNS]Mina> W-w-what the hell was that?!
- <[Rut]Janie> Ohmigosh, are you okay!?
- * [Rut]Janie starts to move to Mina in concern when the hookshot triggers it's retraction.
- <[Rut]Janie> Aieeee!
- * [Rut]Janie flies at Mina!
- <[BNS]Mina> Ahhh!
- * [BNS]Mina is CRASH'D
- <Cliven> [You weren't the smartest or the brightest crayon in the box but thankfully it lets go before you two collide with teh ruin's wall.]
- * [BNS]Mina lies on the ground in a pile of bones, Janie, dirt, and Mina.
- <[BNS]Mina> ...ugggh...
- <[Rut]Janie> Owie... t-that really smarts....
- * [BNS]Mina gradually comes to
- <[BNS]Mina> Y-y-...
- <[BNS]Mina> you... CAN'T be this stupid... can you?
- <[BNS]Mina> You can't! Can't happen! Not happening! Hahaha!
- * [BNS]Mina unpries herself from the tangle of Janie... then realizes where she's lying.
- <[Rut]Janie> Um... are you okay? Maybe you got a con-cussion?
- <[BNS]Mina> KYAHHHHH!!!
- <[Rut]Janie> ?!
- * [BNS]Mina scrambles to crawl away from the pile of bones, dusting herself off frantically as she freaks out!
- * [Rut]Janie just watches.
- <[BNS]Mina> OMIGODOMIGODOMIGOD, I JUST TOUCHED A DEAD GUY, OMIGODOMIGOD-!
- <[Rut]Janie> Gosh...
- <[BNS]Mina> This-this-this is all your fault!!
- * [BNS]Mina points at Janie!
- <[Rut]Janie> H-huh?
- <[BNS]Mina> Oh god, it's in my hair! IT'S IN MY HAIR!!
- * [BNS]Mina screams!
- <Cliven> M-mina!?
- * Cliven yells out to them but you may not be able to hear him.
- <[BNS]Mina> GETITOFFGETITOFFGETITOFF!
- * [Rut]Janie jumps and frantically attempt to assist Mina.
- * [BNS]Mina shakes her head wildly, trying to get the bone dust out of her hair!
- * [Rut]Janie is, of course, also covered in dust.
- <Cliven> [The room you're in begins to rumble.]
- <[BNS]Mina> !!
- <[BNS]Mina> Wh-what?!
- <[Rut]Janie> Uh, that sounded bad, Missus Mina...
- <[BNS]Mina> D-don't just stand there! Get the other stuff!
- * [Rut]Janie hastily grabs the remaining bracelet. No time to admire it, now!
- <Cliven> [The room seems to be smaller all of a sudden, height-wise...]
- <[Rut]Janie> W-we're growing?!
- * [BNS]Mina crawls into the tunnel to escape
- <[BNS]Mina> What are you waiting for! Let's go!
- * [Rut]Janie follows. Time to put those new, long legs and arms to use!
- * [BNS]Mina hurries towards the exit!
- * [Rut]Janie does, too!
- <Cliven> [You two are back in the halls but the otehr part of the hall seems to be closed off and the only way back is over the spears. Thankfully, most of the spiders are gone now and there's a small soft area for you to shoot a certain new weapon or a new weapon to whack through the spears protruding out.]
- * [BNS]Mina is about ready to cry when she sees the spears, but then remembers the sword in her hand
- * [BNS]Mina tries to chop the spears, but the tunnel is too cramped to get any leverage! She only manages to chop one spear down.
- <[BNS]Mina> It's no good! I can't get enough of a swing up and going!
- * [Rut]Janie attempts to fire her hookshot up out of the hole, but it's deflected by the bramble of spears between her and the opening.
- * [BNS]Mina starts to panic as she tries to chop at the spears again!
- * [BNS]Mina closes her eyes as the sword suddenly emits a blinding light and the rest of the spears are sent scattering across the floor!
- <[Rut]Janie> Whoa!
- <[BNS]Mina> W-w-what?
- * [BNS]Mina stares at the sword in her hand
- <Cliven> M-mina!?.. are you girls ok?
- <[Rut]Janie> Pow! Cool! Super-duper cool!
- * [BNS]Mina snaps out of it as she hears her dad, and crawls to the exit, pulling herself up and out of the hole
- <[BNS]Mina> D-dad! It was a cave-in!
- * [Rut]Janie follows.
- <Cliven> Are you girls ok firstly?
- <[Rut]Janie> I-it was amazing! We found traps and ancient skeletons and treasure and--
- <Cliven> ...and?...
- * [Rut]Janie coughs, out of breath.
- * Cliven takes a look at them...
- * Cliven then grins.
- <Cliven> Seems you girls found something nice...
- <[Rut]Janie> ... Yup, I think we're okay, Mister Cliven!
- <[BNS]Mina> Uh...
- <[BNS]Mina> Well...
- * [BNS]Mina looks at the sword in her hand again
- <[BNS]Mina> It's... umm...
- * [BNS]Mina doesn't really know how to explain the whole glowing thing to Cliven...
- <[BNS]Mina> Anyway...
- <[Rut]Janie> A super sword of light! She swung it, and zowie! We're saved!
- * [Rut]Janie is more than happy to elaborate, though she isn't easy to understand when she's this exited.
- <Cliven> Well, their yours to keep you two. Good Job
- * Cliven pats both of them on the head.
- <[BNS]Mina> I REALLY need to wash. Again. Seriously...
- * [BNS]Mina shudders as she brushes some residual bone dust off her
- * [BNS]Mina suddenly notices something as she looks down at her clothes...
- * [BNS]Mina leans down and picks up some kind of sword scabbard that was caught on her boot laces
- <[BNS]Mina> Whoa.
- * [BNS]Mina inspects the bright blue scabbard, adorned with gold filigree and banding.
- <Cliven> ...those weapons.. may I see them?
- * [Rut]Janie presents hers as if she were a dog, wanting to play fetch.
- * [BNS]Mina snaps out of her reverie and looks at Cliven
- <[BNS]Mina> Oh, umm... sure.
- * [BNS]Mina flips the sword in her hand and hands Cliven the sword pommel-first
- * Cliven studies the hookshot first, easily discovering the mechanic of such... odd caliber and shoots across the room, too bad it fall short of the end of the pool.
- <Cliven> ..ooh. This will come in handy later on.
- * Cliven retracts it and hands it back to Janie.
- <[Rut]Janie> Golly, will it really, Mister Cliven?
- * [Rut]Janie takes it.
- * Cliven nods and then takes Mina's weapon this time, he pulls it out and takes a swing or two, its quite light for him.
- <Cliven> This....this is surely a keepers for you Mina.. though please be careful now as its a real weapon ok Mina?
- <Cliven> [-Mina...]
- <[BNS]Mina> I know...
- <[Rut]Janie> Wow, you get to keep a real weapon... You're really grown-up, missus Mina. Mister Cliven must really trust you.
- * [BNS]Mina looks at the scabbard again
- <Cliven> Come on you two, the others are waiting for us, I've gotten good news to tell them about you two.
- <[BNS]Mina> I'm just surprised that this showed up. It's really nice... though I wish it weren't so blue. Maybe pink or something, to match my outfit, you know?
- <Cliven> [The color changes to a pink hue....whoa~]
- <[BNS]Mina> !!
- <[BNS]Mina> Whoa!
- <[BNS]Mina> That...
- <[BNS]Mina> ..is so COOL!
- * Cliven chuckles upon hear this.. she must really like her new toy~
- <[BNS]Mina> Dad! Dad! Look! I said that it should turn pink and it did!
- * [Rut]Janie can't wait to tell Rickie all this when she gets back!
- * Cliven takes a look gives her a thumbs up with a cheesy grin.
- <Cliven> Come on you two, lets go~
- * [BNS]Mina follows, sheathing the sword and buckling the scabbard around her waist as she goes.
- * [Rut]Janie goes along with them, grinning all the way.
- [Meanwhile... on the other side~...]
- ------------------
- * [Mrsu]Rachel paces about, over and over, close to a wall.
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> Oh dear, they have been gone for a while... Are they safe? Have they gotten lost? ...! Perhaps- Perhaps they uncovered an ancient civilization living in this ruin and they have taken them prisoner!
- * [par]Nafrit sits calmly and reads one of her tomes
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> ...Ohhhhh....
- <Maryn> That retard probably got himself into some shit again...
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> Perhaps? Would that mean we would have to come over to save them?
- <Maryn> Let him suffer some more.
- <[par]Nafrit> "Hmm? Do you need a scrying invocation?"
- <Maryn> Do as you wish.
- * [par]Nafrit goes back to reading
- * [Mrsu]Rachel sighs.
- <Maryn> What do you think of the master so far? Too odd for your taste?
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> He seems like a nice enough person. I still think I had signed up for the wrong job...
- <[par]Nafrit> "Hmm? Oh he's just like all the others. 'Odd' by most standards is at home in this profession."
- * Maryn turns to Rachel first.
- <Maryn> Then why did you sign up on this? It was clearly labelled as an "Adventure" by him...
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "I can't believe that this would really be considered normal. We've flown miles away at the drop of a hat, j-jumped off the side of a plane, ran inside an ancient set of ruins..." Rachel begins to count off her fingers.
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "I mistook it for a simple housecleaning servant job~"
- * Maryn laughs.
- <Maryn> One optimistic person here...
- <[par]Nafrit> "I am more used to older less... excitable expedition leaders."
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "You could say so! Though, I take it, you both have taken other such jobs as this?"
- <[par]Nafrit> "The tombs of Arabia are a far cry from this, but it is the same field of work."
- <Maryn> Saying its not exciting enough/
- * Maryn cocks her head.
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "If you ask me, it was exciting enough at the plane ride..." Rachel laughs nervously, sitting down and leaning against the wall.
- <[par]Nafrit> "Yes I would have to agree, it has been too exciting. I prefer the conditions I have been accustomed too. I did not think I could find a place that felt hotter then a desert."
- * Maryn laughs harder this time.
- <Maryn> You two are in for one hell of a ride then.
- * [Mrsu]Rachel nods her agreement, sitting down with her sweat rolling off her face for a long moment before looking curiously at Nafrit. "What is that you're reading?"
- * Maryn pats the two before going for her rounds.
- <Maryn> I wish you two luck then.
- <[par]Nafrit> "The Codex of the Black Goat."
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "Thank you, I know I could not need it any less than you would."
- <[Zem]Yumi> "So I wonder how we're going to get out."
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "Hm? What is that about, I wonder?"
- * [Mrsu]Rachel leans toward Nafrit.
- <[par]Nafrit> "It is a detailing of practices in the name of a fertility deity. Often worshiped in areas of rapant growth, such as the dark heart of a jungle or forest."
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "Oh, is it an interesting read? When I think of fertility deities, my mind instantly goes to the gutter~" Rachel shifts against the wall, hugging her arms against her knees and laughing quietly.
- <[Zem]Yumi> "Well, they're about procreative sex, which is different from recreational sex."
- <[par]Nafrit> "Indeed. The cults of the black goat were very adamant about... their creations."
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "So... then... the jungle tribal sort of worshipers you find on the television?"
- <Maryn> ...what about them?
- <[par]Nafrit> "Actually it has seen sects world wide. The housewives of New England finding a forest to dance around in and practice ancient rites must be quite the sight."
- * Maryn comes back up inside the temple.
- * [Mrsu]Rachel waves to Maryn. "We're discussing the Codex of the Black Goat, or it's more Nafrit is lecturing me because I prodded her on the subject~"
- * Maryn nods.
- <Maryn> I've seen one of those so called ritual, quite...a....sight to see.
- <[Zem]Yumi> "Black goats are a fairly common superstition."
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "Oh? I'd like to hear more, were some of the superstitions unfounded?"
- <[par]Nafrit> "I have never had the pleasure. I have only read of cults to the goat with a thousand young."
- <Maryn> Most of it is merely conjectures, simple tomfoolry and general twisted prespective of things.
- <[par]Nafrit> "Perhaps there is a ritual in here we could attempt."
- <Maryn> ...pardon me?...
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "We could tell Cliven about it later~"
- <[par]Nafrit> "Well, I would like to witness one and Rachel seems interested. Perhaps we might find something useful."
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "It's not dangerous, right? No sacrificing your heart to the god of corn?"
- <Maryn> I'd like to hear what you have to say first before it goes to him.
- <[par]Nafrit> "I would not endanger my companions for something so trivial."
- <Maryn> Either way, it goes through me first. Since he.... is too kind sometimes.
- * [par]Nafrit flips through the tome
- <[par]Nafrit> "Is there anything either of you would like to attempt to accomplish?"
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "Perhaps Maryn could join in whatever this ritual involves?"
- * Maryn thinks about it.
- <Maryn> It depends on the situation.
- * [Mrsu]Rachel pauses for a moment. "Ah, me? ...To kill time, perhaps."
- <Maryn> So.. what would -you- like to see Nafrit?
- <[par]Nafrit> "Anything really. Likely something much more complicated then we can preform. ...Ah here is one, Obtaining the Mother's Milk. It will require some blood..."
- <Maryn> ...and...?
- * [Mrsu]Rachel listens in, leaning a bit closer.
- <[par]Nafrit> "I have all the other material components. Save for a receptical. Though I will require both of you to help with the chanting and leg work."
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "Hmm~ But... a receptical? To hold what? I may have something in this bag..."
- <[par]Nafrit> "It suggests a goblet carved from a century old tree. But any cup will do."
- <Maryn> Before I go any further, what benefit do you have for this team besides your own desires Nafrit?
- <[par]Nafrit> "The Mother's Milk is said to grant much vitality and energy to those that imbue of it."
- * Maryn nods.
- <Maryn> Just what kind of vitality?
- Maryn> So...why would you want some aphrodisaic?
- * [par]Nafrit frowns
- <[par]Nafrit> "It doesn't specify that is its function. And I am more interested to learn if these rituals work. If they do it unlocks much potential."
- <Maryn> Remind me here again, who was the one who talked about a three foot phallic symbol back in Egypt?
- * Maryn looks at Nafrit with some deadpan eyes.
- * [Mrsu]Rachel stifles a small bit of laughter.
- <Maryn> Be honest here Nafrit, it is not that I am strict with things but I live on a need to know basis.
- <[par]Nafrit> "Should my response be that you do not need to know, then? And I simply told what he would have found the most amusing. There are much more bizarre practices from the era."
- * Maryn smirks, very well.
- <Maryn> If I did not know it would simply not go through, but I shall allow it.
- <Maryn> What will you have us do then?
- <[par]Nafrit> "It could simply be a booster, like a methamphetamine. They did spent a lot of time prancing about."
- * [par]Nafrit stands up and looks at the book
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "These rituals... are mostly dances, then?"
- <[par]Nafrit> "Yes, these groups seem found of such practices. It says first: 'dressed in the land form a circle around the vessel."
- <Maryn> ...may we please do it at night?
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "Maryn would not like to be seen under the sunlight~"
- <Maryn> Rather... if it does not concern the master, I would not want him involved.
- <[par]Nafrit> "Yes, these groups seem found of such practices. It says first: 'dressed in the land form a circle around the vessle."
- <[par]Nafrit> "Hmm? Well it does say the best time is under a full moon. And what about the master?"
- * [Mrsu]Rachel covers her mouth with an open palm. "Oho~"
- <Maryn> Because sometimes...
- * Maryn shys away.
- <Maryn> Master... really...gets.. involved.
- * [par]Nafrit doesn't seem to understand
- <[par]Nafrit> "Well we are doing it in his absence, so I guess it doesn't matter."
- <Maryn> Master is still a healthy man is whatI'm saying.
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "You've done these rituals before, after all? Maryn, I had no idea!" Rachel clasps her hands together and crawls a step closer to the other.
- <[par]Nafrit> "Indeed? You've been one of the thousand?"
- <Maryn> At one time...
- <Maryn> Yes.
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "...Ah, I suppose that would mean that the Mother's Milk is an aphrodisiac after all?"
- * [Mrsu]Rachel scratched her cheek, "No good, no good~" She muttered to herself.
- * [par]Nafrit grins
- <[par]Nafrit> "Oh this is very interesting indeed. You must tell me of your experiences."
- <Maryn> I do not wish to tell about it..
- * [par]Nafrit nods
- <[par]Nafrit> "I understand..."
- <[par]Nafrit> "Very well, if you do not wish to participate it is okay."
- * Maryn blushes just a bit.
- <Maryn> I mean... I'm fine with participating this but not explaining my past.
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "Ah well, we can't force you to talk~" Rachel scooted up against the wall once more. "Can you tell us what the ritual is like?"
- <Maryn> Involved blood of virgin.
- * [par]Nafrit nods
- * [Mrsu]Rachel looked around. "...Pardon me, but do we have such on hand?"
- <Maryn> Was...a virgin..
- * Maryn stops speaking after taht.
- * [par]Nafrit hestiantly nods
- <[par]Nafrit> "I have all the material components..."
- <[par]Nafrit> "Well Maryn knows how to make vestiments then. I will prepare the brew."
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "Is there anything I could help with, Nafrit? I did pester you about the ritual until you talked after all."
- <[par]Nafrit> "Please obtain these items from my pack."
- * [par]Nafrit hands the tome to Rachel
- * [Mrsu]Rachel takes the tome and nods, "Right."
- * [Zem]Yumi has been poring through a book on survival.
- * [Mrsu]Rachel flips it open, scrambling through the pages...
- <Maryn> ...ah.. Yumi... were you here this whole time?
- * [Mrsu]Rachel opens Nafrit's pack and rummages through the contents... "Will you be needing these?" She produces a handful of items to show to Nafrit.
- <[par]Nafrit> "Do not over use them please. But I brought them just for this."
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "So you were prepared~ Well! I do promise to make good use of them, or, perhaps I should give these back to you so you can make better use of them."
- <[par]Nafrit> "Please leave some for other rituals."
- <Maryn> Oh...after this ritual....
- <Maryn> I'd like for you two know that your...body will respond accordingly...
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "Then, only for what the ritual calls for..." Rachel juggles with the items onto one arm while she bites on a fingernail on her other. "Respond?"
- <Maryn> It will be as if you were on fire... and will be asking for a certain male appendage.... or each other if a male is not present.
- * [Mrsu]Rachel blushes, a chill coursing through her spine and endagering the items in her grasp. "Wh-!?" Her look of amazement only turns to Maryn for some answers.
- <[par]Nafrit> "Hmm. Well if you attest to the ritual working then I do not require its pursuit."
- <Maryn> I hope you girls can suppress your desires.
- <Maryn> I'm saying it works... almost too well.
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "I'm having second thoughts about this ritual..."
- <Maryn> And it's bettetr to see it in person so you'll be reluctant to doing it next time, or vice versa.
- * [Mrsu]Rachel laughs, nervously running a hand through her hair and stooping back down to Nafrit's pack. "P-Perhaps we should do this some other time, or... so~"
- <[par]Nafrit> "I could look for another ritual, if you desire."
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "If you would like, but somehow it feels like my curiosity is betraying me this evening."
- <Maryn> [Its late afternoon but not quite evening.]
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> [late afternoon*]
- <Maryn> I'm fine with it, I can control my desires, I'm just worried about you two.
- <[par]Nafrit> "Hmm, the calling incantations would be ill advised..."
- * [par]Nafrit flips through
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "I'm sure I could not~ I'm no Tibetan monk." Rachel sat back down onto the floor.
- <Maryn> Very well, if you are unsure then, please choose another one.
- <Maryn> Just don't let it involve any sacrifices of sort.
- * [Mrsu]Rachel curled up by the wall, hugging her legs and watching the others.
- <[par]Nafrit> "Hmm... Ah- wait no. Hrrn... Maybe one of you should look instead."
- <[Zem]Yumi> "Very well. I will look."
- <[par]Nafrit> "Oh, okay."
- <Maryn> Oh...hm...interesting.. please go ahead.
- * [par]Nafrit hands the tome
- * [Zem]Yumi starts browsing through the tome, trying to figure out what she is trying to find.
- * [Mrsu]Rachel looks up, out of curiosity.
- <Maryn> Anything you might be interested Yumi? I may be able to suggest some not in the book or too rare to be documented.
- * [par]Nafrit decides to look in another tome. Perhaps a fertility cult isn't the best thing to draw rituals from
- <Maryn> Also Nafrit.. don't bother with Fertility cults if you wanted to do something extraordinary, the majority of them delved into town-wide orgies.
- <[Zem]Yumi> "What about this one? It seems to involve pendulums."
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "That sounds extraordinary." Rachel lifts her eyebrows.
- <[Zem]Yumi> "It says it can find what's been lost."
- <[par]Nafrit> "My perticular interests are not in the Goat, but I find her and her ilk interesting."
- <[Zem]Yumi> "Hold on, I must have misheard. Why would a goat have elk?"
- <Maryn> Ilk, not elk my dear.
- <Maryn> And Nafrit, that is the truth behind the the Goat, as a person who've seen and experienced in person, its nothing more than a guise for pleasure of the mind and body, which isn't bad in retrospect.
- * [par]Nafrit sighs
- * [Mrsu]Rachel smiles, "So I was not so far off in the first place~"
- <[par]Nafrit> "Man paints meaning over practices of base desire so often I would think the reason for why would be decipherable."
- <Maryn> View my point however you wish, but that is the truth, but of course there are the truely cultish ones, like this ruins used to perform.
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "Sounds like a story?"
- <Maryn> I thought the master told you already, this temple was known for infantcide.
- <[Zem]Yumi> "So is there anything we need to locate, besides the missing members of our party?"
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "...That..." Rachel bites her lip.
- <[par]Nafrit> "Priceless artifacts I believe is the offical goal."
- * Maryn nods.
- <Maryn> But he's not doing it for the money.
- <[Zem]Yumi> "Hmm. It says we need something associated with what we're trying to find."?
- <Maryn> He wants his daughter to know what he does for a living and you girls, more or less are to keep them safe from harm, of course you are free to profit from this, assuming you can find something of value.
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "...I-If he and his daughter are alone with only another maid... and we are tasked to keep them safe... does that not mean we should be chasing after them?"
- <Maryn> Despite the macabre history to this place, its quite peaceful, so they should be fine. If it were not I would not be here talking to you girls right now.
- <[par]Nafrit> "Someone needs the keep the camp secure."
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "Ah, that makes sense~" Rachel wiped off a bit of sweat from her brow.
- <Maryn> At any rate, have we decided on a ritual?
- <[Zem]Yumi> "We could use the seeking ritual to find the artifact we're looking for, or at least try."
- <[par]Nafrit> "Hmm... I do know the Vreemde Sektes contains some rituals of the Brotherhood..."
- <Maryn> hmmm
- <Maryn> I think the artifact seeking one sounds nice.
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "It sounds harmless."
- <[par]Nafrit> "As long as it doesn't involve the shining trapahedratron."
- * Maryn sighs and hits Nafrit lightly.
- <[par]Nafrit> "Ow."
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "Trapahedratron?"
- <Maryn> Anyway.. shall we go prepare it then?
- * [par]Nafrit nods
- <[Mrsu]Rachel> "Ah! Yes, I shall help in that case."
- <[Zem]Yumi> "I will help as well. I may not be very magical, but I am meticulous."
- <Maryn> [And so the girls are preparing warmly for a ritual! Will they make it in time for the others~? What will they do? Find out in the next session of Maiders!]
