Hi, was with servint for about 15 years but they sold out to leaseweb and after a month I am not liking their support so far, servint were great. Anyway so far I am leaning towards knownhost but I want to keep my options open,

 I can't be bother switching again, was with powervps as aswell, they lost all my sites and I switched my sites to another servint VPS and powervps closed down a month later, anyone know what happened there? I was with them for over a decade as well. I have now switched so many sites over in the last 6 months that I want to find a good one I can stick to. Looking for a Cpanel/WHM VPS so any other recomendations besides knownhost? Anything negative about knownhost?

Been with Knownhost for some time now, having gone there after Wiredtree quit and the new owners simply didn't seem to know what they were doing. Support and system at KH has been rock solid. Techs are generally really fast and accurate, no complaints.
Unless you're a larger customer (or know some secret I don't), don't expect any love from billing, though. Though nice folks and good at what they do, they simply don't make deals. It's "the plan is the plan" and "the price is the price". They used to give upgrades for the Holidays and gifts (a little space, things like that), but since converting to all SSD plans, they've tightened up totally. Can't blame them, but it's missed.
Overall, I'd say it's a solid choice.

I am sorry to hear that you had trouble with the new owner of Servint. Are you looking for an USA based provider or is Europe also an option? What's your current pricing point you are looking for? How much space and bandwidth would you need and how much domains will you add? Will you add webshops or big wordpress websites?

Bear, Glad everyone is taking care of you. You're right in regards to our billing team, we do our best to be fair to everyone but it's usually rare when we give out special deals unless it comes with bulk purchases. We try and make sure everyone gets their moneys worth and then some.

As far as the holiday upgrades, we're really focused on a lot of internal projects that we'll be offering to clients, some free and some premium, that we feel will truly enhance the customer experience and ensure everyone is happy for decades to come so that's really where we're at for the moment. Holiday gifts may not be entirely gone but it's a balancing act to make sure we provide the best for all of our customers .

Sorry to hear about your ordeal with WiredTree and then Servint again. While there is no way to be 100% sure as to what happens to a company in the future a few things that you can do is to look for how established a company is and how do their run their operations. Ask about their facilities, their infrastructure and what do they own and what do they resell.

As @net suggested, you cannot predit the future but you can get a fair idea by looking at their history and their current operations.
