  1. Mejai
  2. “Razor Reeds Whipping
  3. The River, My Sword, as one
  4. The Blessed Dance”
  5.
  6. The Mejai are a mysterious culture from a desert land. Unwelcome in foreign places of power, they are respected on the principal of their peerless agility and mystical talents that defy all academies of the arcane. Where the Mejai step, the desert follows. Where the sun sees, the sands may reach. To a true master of the Mejai, there is no enemy which cannot be destroyed.
  7.
  8. Sands of Time
  9. Beginning at third level, you learn the mystic art of the Magus Priest. You are able to collect the Sands of Time to fuel your abilities. You gain a number of Hourglasses, to a maximum of half your samurai level + your Wisdom Modifier (minimum 1). When you use your Mejai abilities, you use an Hourglass. Additionally, you can expend an Hourglass during a short rest to regain hitpoints equal to your wisdom modifier. You regain all of your Hourglasses upon completing a Long Rest.
  10.
  11. Shifting Stance
  12. At 3rd level, you have learned a stance that no purist of the martial arts could hope to comprehend, the Shifting Stance. While in this stance, when you would be hit by an attack, you may use an Hourglass to impose disadvantage on the attacker. If the attack still hits, you may teleport up to 10 feet away after taking damage. Additionally, you are immune to all Divination spells and effects that they would have upon you, and scrying you while you are in this stance fails.
  13.
  14. Hassan Step
  15. At 6th level, you may move laterally across vertical surfaces without falling, however attempts at vertical movement require the relevant checks to accomplish, though you do have advantage on those checks. Additionally, attacks made against you outside of your reach have disadvantage if you have used all of your movement for your turn.
  16.
  17. Dunestrider
  18. At 11th level, the sands speak to you in words unheard by the common ‘Ajami’. You may use an Hourglass to cast the spells Blur, Mirror Image, Pass Without Trace, Remove Curse, or Searing Smite at 3rd level. You may cast these spells this way equal to your wisdom modifier (minimum 1), and regain all uses after a Long or Short Rest.
  19.
  20. Desert Soul
  21. At 16th level, you are jealously claimed by the sands. You may hurl an Hourglass into the ground, shattering it and turning yourself completely to sand, which scatters in a 30 foot sphere around you. At the beginning of your next turn, you may reform anywhere that an unbroken path through sand can be found, appearing in a small whirlwind of screaming sand.
  22.
  23. Sand Through the Hourglass
  24. At 19th level, you have become otherworldly. You no longer need to breathe or drink, though eating is still required, and no longer age unless you wish to.
  25.
  26. You have gained a powerful Secondglass. Once per long rest, you may cast Time Stop as a reaction. You take your additional turns immediately, and afterwards, the original turn holder resumes their turn. You may use this Secondglass at any time or in response to being hit, however you will take the damage immediately after you conclude your turns.
