- (4:45:00 AM) AliciaValka: Pain. Darkness. Crushing void, and overwhelming intensity. She felt all of these things endlessly, though not at once. Centuries, millenia... Countless eons which could not be understood were spent in such a state. Or, so it felt. It was impossible to tell, as there was nothing to give time meaning.
- (4:45:00 AM) AliciaValka: Anger, fear, sorrow. All of these filled her, just as pain did. Anger at that which held her, and the destruction which had led her here. Fear of the fate in store for her kingdom... For her world. Sorrow for all she had once known, all the victims of her father's machinations.
- (4:45:00 AM) AliciaValka: Yet, eventually... It would end. She awoke from her reality, from her nightmare, into a place that was unfamiliar. Her mind barely whole, broken above all in its stability... She tried to comprehend that it was over. Yet... Perhaps this was some cruel new trick.
- (4:50:20 AM) Aelitethe: A large, grassy clearing within the verdant greenery of the woods. It seemed an odd contrast to what she was usually used to, yet... The tranquility of it all offset that seeming discord between the chaos of reality and the peace of retreat. Tall, evergreen trees overlooked this clearing, as she, in her white garb, stood facing the endless forest, looking up into the sky from the center of the clearing, singing what appeared to
- (4:50:20 AM) Aelitethe: be a hymn in foreign, exotic tongue. Expressive of emotion, it seemed, she was, once again, presenting to nobody in particular her willingness to save... Save who, she was not even sure. But she had a goal in mind. She had to find the meaning behind it. Behind the mystery her parents left for her... Singing alone, this was her respite, her only peace from the inner anarchy of despair and loneliness.
- (4:50:35 AM) Aelitethe: She did not even notice that someone else was present, amidst her song.
- (4:55:20 AM) AliciaValka: ...Sound. It had been so long since Alicia had heard true, real sound. She could feel it through her, and she knew it was real. Yet, she could not comprehend. It had been so long since she had heard language, or music. It was almost calming... Yet, it had become so alien. Slowly, she realized where it came from, and then simply looked upon its source...
- (4:59:57 AM) Aelitethe: Trailing off, Aelitethe concluded her hymn, and soon, she turned, having felt something odd - the feeling she was being watched. She was used to this, having been typically shunned by society at large; being seen as an outcast, she was the target of many less than savory things. Eventually, her eyes met the form of another woman. Aelitethe cared not if the woman was clothed or not, but merely her presence. She backed away into a
- (4:59:57 AM) Aelitethe: tree, shivering, yet not visibly terrified. "Excuse... me...?"
- (5:02:35 AM) AliciaValka: Alicia cocked her head as the sound stopped. ...And more came out. There was a stirring in her mind, as she remembered... Yes. Language. Words. They were familiar... They formed the basis for many of her thoughts. Yet, that basis had been warped. She needed to... It was difficult to remember. ...After several moments, she finally got out one word. "Where...?"
- (5:08:15 AM) Aelitethe: Aelitethe could feel abnormal amounts of... SOMETHING, coming from this person. An intruder into her personal space, or simply an accident from a faraway place? In any case, this was no time to stand around and contemplate such things. She barely heard the word "Where," and to this Aelitethe sighed. "Feyy Forlinden!" she gasped, a bit startled. She was afraid of this individual, she felt incredibly dangerous. "I sing here often,
- (5:08:16 AM) Aelitethe: usually alone!" Aelitethe's voice is wavering, symbolizing an intense fear. "So... May I know... w-w-who y-y-you are?"
- (5:11:40 AM) AliciaValka: Feyy Forlinden... Nothing was familiar about that name. Alicia merely continued to stare. ...But then, a question game. "Who...?" ...After a moment, she remembered. "A...licia. Alicia Valka. I don't..." She shook her head. "Everything, so long ago... Don't know." Slowly, her thoughts were becoming more coherent again, the words coming to her. But they were still not right.
- (5:11:54 AM) AliciaValka: "...You?"
- (5:14:31 AM) Aelitethe: She identified herself, and seemed to display signs of amnesia. While that was a relief, it was also a scary thought. She probably couldn't remember a whole lot about where she came from... And furthermore, this place was completely new to her. Aelitethe couldn't leave her alone in this state. She took some deep breaths to calm herself. Perhaps she was not so bad after all. "...The name is Aelitethe Altisia. Do you remember how
- (5:14:32 AM) Aelitethe: you got here? Maybe I can get you out of here so you can return to where you came from?"
- (5:17:22 AM) AliciaValka: "How...?" Alicia shook her head. "...Pain. Darkness. War, betrayal, power, murder, fire, death!" It all came spilling out. ...She struggled for it to make sense. "Too long ago... I was imprisoned. This is... Unfamiliar."
- (5:19:59 AM) Aelitethe: Aelitethe facefaulted. Pain? Darkness? War? Betrayal? Power? Murder? Fire? Death? Was this Alicia character crazy? No, something about this wasn't right... Imprisoned...? She sighed and scratched her head. Her white robes covering her outfit billowed in the wind. It seemed from her sudden burst of words she was tortured before her arrival here. "...I'm not sure what happened, but it was probably some magic that broug
- (5:19:59 AM) Aelitethe: ht you here... If you want, I can help you get around...?"
- (5:22:39 AM) AliciaValka: "Magic... Yes. There must have been..." It was getting easier and easier to speak. She took a brief moment to contemplate Aelitethe's offer. Help her get around...? Could she trust-? Whether it was a trick or not, she couldn't say. All of it was strange, suspicious. But... There was an opportunity. She needed to take advantage. "Yes... I could... Use the help."
- (5:24:39 AM) Aelitethe: Aelitethe nodded and pointed to a pathway in front of her. It didn't look very difficult to navigate. The forest itself was probably not very huge to begin with, which made things easier on Aelitethe to get Alicia out. "Alright, then. Please follow me. We will go this way. There aren't many forks in the path, so it's just straight all the way until we get out..."
- (5:26:19 AM) AliciaValka: "Very well. You..." She had to get herself working again. If this was freedom... She had to take advantage of it. She would not be helpless, and she would not... "You have my thanks." She then would follow where Aelitethe would lead, so long as a reason did not come to do otherwise...
- (5:28:49 AM) Aelitethe: Aelitethe nodded weakly and started to lead Alicia through the path of this forest. It was fairly uneventful, aside from the occasional chirping of the birds and the sporadic buzzing of what may or may not have been cicadas. Indeed, the Feyy Forlinden was quite a peaceful and tranquil place. Fortunately for Alicia, a small village was not too far away from the current locale. After what was about ten minutes of further walking a
- (5:28:50 AM) Aelitethe: nd awkward silence, Aelitethe presented the exit to Alicia. "Alright... About a ways ahead from here, should be a small village... Do you still need me for anything?"
- (5:33:32 AM) AliciaValka: Alicia spent the time organizing her thoughts, sorting through her knowledge of language and remembering how to speak. Silently, she formed some of the words with her mouth as she remembered grammar, diction, vocabulary... Yes, she could recover. She would recover, and she would excel. No setback could not be overcome.
- (5:33:32 AM) AliciaValka: When they reached the exit, and Aelitethe asked the question, Alicia replied. "I do not believe so. I merely need to discover the origin of my imprisonment, and discover a path to take... My first task is likely that of gaining clothing." She was... Much more articulate than she'd been just a few minutes ago! "...I have no gold, nor even silver, however. I suppose I would need to rely on charity, or find some sort of work..."
- (5:34:11 AM) AliciaValka: *work..."
- (5:36:32 AM) Aelitethe: Aelitethe sighed. The realization dawned upon her that Alicia was virtually without any clothing! Sighing, Aelitethe removed the white robe she was wearing, revealing an unusually strange, otherworldly outfit beneath - a leotard of pure white, with white leggings accompanied with silver greaves. She passed the robe to Alicia. "Okay. You can wear this. I don't expect it back, but it'll at least serve as some cover. I'll accompany
- (5:36:33 AM) Aelitethe: you to the village, but I am not welcome there. Let alone like this, so I cannot stay for so long."
- (5:39:12 AM) AliciaValka: "I... Thank you." Alicia gratefully accepted the robe, and slipped it on. "...Why are you not welcome in the village? Had there been some conflict?"
- (5:40:52 AM) Aelitethe: Aelitethe smiled weakly. "No... Not at all, Miss. It is simply... differences. I am not... one of them. I am not an appreciable presence, in their eyes." She looked to the village, and began to lead Alicia to it. "The church... Is not so fond of me."
