The way they survived so long to make their village grow larger was a pact made with the “Forest People” to protect them from hostile parties and beasts. The ‘Forest People’ are rumoured to be a myth to other villages, some tales depicting a large tree that moved on its own accord that would capture travellers and devour them, while others tell of living plants that would coil around the hostile powers and hang them from the branches by the neck as a warning.
